Complaint: On XX/XX/2019, I was trying to deposit my traveler 's checks at the Capital One bank branch at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NY XXXX, as I was following the Capital One Bank 's online instruction and the instruction from the Capital One 's phone agent. First, I was trying to deposit the checks at the ATM. However, I encountered error with the ATM. I then went to the banker to deposit. The banker had not seen a traveler 's check before and did not know the existence of the traveler check. Then, she consulted with her manager which I felt appreciated. However, her manger 's attitude was that she had never seen this kind of product based on her 3 years financial experience, she refused me to deposit the checks. I told her that it was a chance to learn something new as she was working in the financial business. She was too arrogant to learn and to check with her support desk nor checking the information online. Despite the previous banker shower her the information on the computer when we were talking, she still refused to deposit the checks. Do not know a financial product as a bank manager is one thing but lacking the knowledge and not willing to learn is another. I would strongly encourage Capital One Bank to retrain its employees at this branch properly before they driver more customers away. After all, it's a highly competitive business and there are so many banks to choose from.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I purchased a XXXX XXXX, XXXX from XXXX XXXX located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, FL XXXX. There are three key issues that I think need to be reported to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I was not aware of the regulations at the time of my purchase. First, XXXX XXXX, Finance Manager, said he would give me a lower interest rate if I bought additional packages which is affirmative misrepresentation because consumer regulations do not allow the purchasing of insurance or other packages for a lower rate. He told me the 2.9 % interest rate was not available because of my credit rating ; however, I could get it if I bought these service packages. I later found that credit is the only determining factor for interest rate. I will have paid a gross of {$2700.00} and a net of {$590.00} after promised refunds for two of the three packages. The {$590.00} is in effect a finance charge and not reflected in my APR. I paid an additional {$590.00} to get a lower interest. I want to have the XXXX XXXX Package charge of {$590.00} reimbursed. I have not used the box of polishes that was given me and I can return it. Second, the dealer invoice cost was affirmatively misrepresented to me as {$24000.00} by XXXX XXXX, Sales Manager, and XXXX XXXX, Sales Representative, who showed me what they said was the dealer invoice cost for the specific car I was buying. In XXXX, after I requested the dealer invoice cost from XXXX XXXX, General Manager, it was emailed to me as {$23000.00} which is a {$1000.00} less than what I was shown at the time of purchase. I agreed to pay the dealer invoice cost and is what I should have been charged. I want to be refunded this {$1000.00}. Additionally, this car was sold to me without the Monroney sticker or Window Sticker on it which is required under the Automobile Information Disclosure Act of 1958 15 U.S.C. 1231-1233. After I requested it in XXXX, the General Manager apologized and emailed it to me. See attached both the Dealer Invoice cost and Window Sticker that was emailed to me. Lastly, I was charged {$550.00} for leather seats to have new XXXX factory warranty seats installed. This is also affirmative misrepresentation since the seats installed are from a local company and are not included under the XXXX factory warranty. This was verified by me with XXXX Customer Service. I want XXXX factory installed seats that were promised to me to ensure that the car still meets the XXXX safety standards. This is a key reason why I bought the car. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX, examined the installation of the seats and agreed that they need to be repaired. The local company manager of the company that installed the seats also agreed that the seats need to be repaired. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a call from XXXX XXXX, Sales Representative, to make an appointment to fix the seats by the local company who installed the seats. The seats installed are not what was promised to me at the time of purchase. What was promised is to have XXXX factory warranty seats installed which is what I want. I am currently waiting to receive {$2100.00} for two service packages and it has been over six weeks. In addition, XXXX XXXX needs to reimburse me {$1000.00}, {$590.00} and install XXXX factory warranty leather seats as promised at no additional charge. The entire experience was unnerving and by the time I left, I was exhausted and felt taken advantage of since I am a senior citizen.

Complaint: On XXXX I recieved an alert from my credit monitoring that a hard inquiry was put on my XXXX credit report. I did not at any time apply for credit with CAP1/XXXX XXXX or otherwise authorize this. I called CAP1/XXXX XXXX at the number listed on my credit report ( XXXX ) and was connected with the application department. The person I spoke with verified that someone did apply for a credit card in my name, however the application was denied as " none of the information matched up correctly '' and the system flagged it as fraud. I immeadiately filed a dispute with XXXX, the next day ( XXXX ) I received a response that the investigation was complete and it was verified as accurate. I called XXXX on XXXX. The representative said they " sent an electronic message '' and that it came back as verified. I explained the call I had with CAP1/XXXX XXXX and how they confirmed that it was fraudulent and requested they call CAP1/XXXX XXXX and speak with the applications department to clear this up. Both he and his supervisor refused. Afterwards I called Capital One since the inquiry came from one of their partner programs. No one there would assist with this, they only told me I would have to mail proper documentation to their credit reporting department. Considering they already have definitive documentation proving this is fraud I find this response to be unacceptable. My wife and I are in the beginning stages of closing on our first home together and I refuse to allow an act of fraud to derail this for us.

Complaint: I filed a complaint in XX/XX/XXXX. In regard to my Credit Protection Disability Insurance Plan cancel by Capital One. I am writing to appeal the decision of my claim # XXXX, the date of service XX/XX/XXXX. This in regards to the Capital One cancel my plan. Capita One need to correct/ reinstate my protection plan. It was my understanding when I call to activate the Insurance Plan it was cancel by Capital One without my knowledge. Furthermore, due to my research Capital One decided, to start cancellation on their preexisting client in XX/XX/XXXX. I did not receive notification of any cancellation. Apparently, this need to be resolve and corrected. I respectfully ask you to reprocess my complaint to find a resolution regarding this matter. Secondly, I did receive a reply for Capital One, in XX/XX/XXXX, they did not address the issues in regards to my Protection Plan being cancel. Only to stated that they found all charges on my Credit Card to be correct. My complaint was not related to charges made. My complaint was due to cancellation of my Credit Card Disability Plan Insurance. I needed to activate plan, due to my unexpected Medical Health Issues that cause me to be terminated. Complaint: My accounts at Capital One were closed. I tried to get it reopened and have escalated it to the office of the CEO, and I also tried other departments I was sent to, but they responded that they can't get it reopened. I still had other things that I needed to get done on my account and I was not given proper assistance. I again reached out to the corporate office with no response. Suddenly, I got a harassing letter that I have no right to contact the bank 's corporate office, anything I need should be through customer service. However, when I contact customer service they refuse to assist me. They blocked my calls, totally discriminating against me. This is the letter I emailed to the CEO : Dear XXXX, it's been some time since Capital one has made their senseless decision to close my accounts and to part from a long time relationship. However, immediately upon complaining to your office, for some reason the company started to discriminate against me in a very nasty improper way. Capital one is refusing to assist me through the regular customer service and when I try getting the att. of the leaders in the company, they fail to respond at all. They are also trying to harass me not to complain. This is in total violation of Visa policy and federal regulations. I have proof that there is a double standard. While others with closed accounts are being fairly treated, I'm not. I hope u realize the severity of this matter, I look fwd. that u will take serious action to rectify the situation in due course, to prevent ur org. from serious legal jeopardy, possibly seeking class-action status. On XX/XX/XXXX I applied for a Capital One Visa Card and I was declined because of my XXXX and Retired status and Lifetime XXXX Pension Retirement Income in which I receive monthly of {$4500.00} with a 3 % percent COLA increase every year on XXXX XXXX.as my XXXX income and Cost of Living increases is Lifetime. On XXXX XXXX I received a very Retaliating and Discriminating against me as a XXXX XXXX Military XXXX. Letter stated that a payment was returned in which this is false accusations I called Capital One and my XXXX XXXX to stop the payment as I implemented another payment amount of around {$150.00}. Than XXXX letter says that my average monthly payment has been low, and this is not true, because if Federal Government can conduct a investigations. Capital One can be subpoena for my payment history on Federal Investigations in which I am requesting. Mt Capital One Mastercard # XXXX limit was {$500.00} than around XXXX.or XX/XX/XXXX I receive a {$250.00} credit increase in which it made a credit increase of {$750.00}. With my credit scores of XXXX I should have received a higher credit limit as I am in California and Cost of Living is expensive. Also, {$750.00} is not enough for travels as a major credit card is needed to travel and rental cars, etc. I am XXXX Lifetime and Capital One has violated my XXXX XXXX XXXX.under Department of Justice.

Complaint: I had two capital one accounts and still do, this incident happened over two years ago, my daughter suggested I try filing a complaint through the CFPB because Capital One is not willing to properly resolve my dispute. They have taken no measures to contact me or resolve as I previously filed a dispute through creditkarma.com and still the issue has not been resolved. I never opened two capital one accounts I just opened one but for some reason I show as having two capital one cards with two separate online profiles and it is just really wacky. I it is strange because I had set up my online profile with Autopay and would have done so with both cards had that been set up correctly but because CapitalOne failed to mention that these are two separate profiles not even attempting to combine them in any way to help the consumer. As I kept going to the one online profile and making sure auto-pay was set up. There is no reason for me to be late on a credit card. I pay off my credit and the online profiles should be together, after all it is the same company. I have one credit card separately and the other with my auto-loan. Mistakenly not realizing that the one account was missing I thought that the auto-pays were being sent. Until I got a bill then I just paid by check but got a late fee. I called to make the payment but not after being penalized with a credit report ding in XX/XX/XXXX. This repeated as when I would call capital one they would confirm that I do have Autopay enrolled and that it would draft the next time. I called again in XX/XX/XXXX after while as I new I had made purchases during the holidays again, and they said that it had not drafted then I got another late fee ( which was reversed ) and a credit reporting ding. I stopped using the card because I was so confused I went online. Then again I made a purchase in XXXX and this time I called them to make sure and they confirmed again, little did I know that I actually had two capital one cards that looked the same when I thought I only had one so that is why I would see that Autopay was enrolled and then another payment incident happened where capital one switched me to online statements and this was in XXXX of XXXX. I fault myself but also feel that capital one should take ownership, I have asked them to combined my profile since these incidents but they do not do. I am not happy with the level of customer service that I received because they did not think to check my other account for auto pay feature. I think they should have done it and set it up on the phone while I was on the phone with them.
