Difficulty submitting a dispute or getting information about a dispute over the phone
Complaint: I purchased this car XXXX of 2017. I was ontime with my payments in the beginning but i became a victim of XXXX XXXX in which i was unable to work due to XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, being relocated to a harmony home because of many threats. Now i am in the process of trying to purchase a new home due to the offender being arrested and i am trying to start fresh with my daughter my credit report is not the issue. All that i ask due to me being a long term customer with Capital one and due to me getting a settlement i am able to catch up with my bills and become current. I am requesting that they give me a second chance with my life by revising my trade lines with the credit reporting agencies. I sincerely hope that there is redemption at Capital One, and i beg you for such consideration. Please let me know if any additional documentation would assist in reaching a positive outcome.
Regardless of your decision, please know that i thank you for helping me at a time when it was needed, and I hope to do business with Capital One again one day! I have been through XXXX and back and i am now a living testimony!

Complaint: Re Capital One Credit card On XX/XX/XXXX I removed my ex wife as an authorized user on the account. I shut down her credit card, removed all her contact information including email address. On XX/XX/2019 I discovered that she still can access my account. I called Capital on XX/XX/2019 and the informed me that there was no way my ex wife could access my information.
I found out this was not true. My wife forwarded me an email that she received from Capital one on XX/XX/2019 stating there was an alert on her credit report. This is through the CreditWise product that Capital one offers to its consumers. One thing to note is that my email was also changed with credit wise as well and hers should not be on the account. However credit wise continued to use and monitor her email address and capital continued to send her alerts. Inside the alert email was a link that logged her directly into my account and she had access to view and change things.
Therefore I have huge privacy concerns that she could access my personal financial information when I took all steps necessary to ensure that she could not. Not only was capital one still emailing her but they also embedded links in the email that gave her direct access to my account. When I called they said I had done everything possible correctly and there was no way that she could be getting information which is 100 % False. Because CreditWidecontinued to monitor and communicate with email addresses that had been removed from the account I am sure I am not the only user that has had this problem I finally had to remove the Credit Wise product from my account and I think that fixed the issue but I am not sure because no one at Capital One could help I have attached an email that my wife received on XX/XX/XXXX to the XXXX email address that she should NEVER have got from Capital One according to the customer service team. In that email is the link that took her to the account. The link no longer works because I disabled that credit wise product

Complaint: As stated in the last complaint Capital One continues neglect me as a consumer. I have been battling with them since 2017 about my accounts and how I need them to update things, so I could have access to pay my bill. The employees refused to be sensitive to my pronouns and name change as result my account was closed after years of torture from this credit card company I'm still left with a punishment and a persistent reminder. I got a response my first complaint today, which just a apologize and a justification for what has happened to me over the last few years. On top of that XXXX from the excutive office called today and told me that I wouldn't have an issue with login any more. I said that's great but what about my account being closed she said she would look into it but it would be hard reverse. I have two accounts one I recently paid off and what no one told me is that account was technically closed too. I want my accounts back open, I deserve that. Before my mobile app stopped working I was paying my bills on to time. No one should have go through what this company continues to put me through. I don't know if it's because I'm XXXX or because they are XXXX and XXXX but this continues even after an apology from them. I want my accounts reinstalled this is cruel.

Complaint: On Thursday XXXX I had to made yet another phone call to Capital One to highlight that a credit card transaction deemed to be investigated as fraudulent by Capital One was still charged to my credit card account ( only {$13.00} ) ; this dispute regarding this unrecognized transaction has taken several phone calls and e-mails over the last six months. Supposedly I hadn't provided sufficient evidence to dispute this transaction until I called in ( several phone calls ) to have their customer service representative look into the evidence I had sent in through their document upload system ; apparently this evidence wasn't acknowledged by Capital One until I called in to complain about this inconsistent service. I do not understand how Capital One would advise that an unrecognized transaction should be investigated as fraudulent and the credit card used in conjunction with this transaction should be replaced with a new credit card account number but, at the same time, the customer must be put through several long phone calls not to be billed for a transaction that is being investigated as fraudulent by Capital One.

Complaint: Capital one is doing a big fraud with me, I am not going to use Capital one card for big transactions anymore. I disputed three transaction 3 months ago, one was the XXXX for {$93.00}, the second one was for {$300.00} the home inspection one and the third one was the {$140.00} one. For several days capital one gave me a credit for all three transactions and now they added it back on my credit card and sent me a letter for two of them, {$93.00} and {$300.00} and said that they are going to reapply the credit on my credit card before the transaction is completed.
This is a big fraud bank. Why they gave me a credit at the first place if they wanted to reapply it again and that too after so many several months.
Please see the attached screenshot and a copy of the letter I received from them.
I am going to return all big purchases on this card and put it on XXXX XXXX who is not a fraud like this bank and is more reliable and doesn't play a vicious circle.

Complaint: This is a letter they request and I sent to them. On XXXX, We want to continued with this dispute. I purchase 2 tickets with XXXX XXXX on XXXX. Purchase on-line with my Master Card. Did not get a printed receipt.
I called XXXX to cancel flight. My wife was was coming down with the flu. Was told there was a cancel fee. Was also told for a credit for balance to be credit on my card 2 to 3 days. Will be notify via email account. Never received, Call back XXXX asking about credit on my account. Was told credit be applied to future flights. Good for 90 days. Never told this on XXXX. Then I call Master Card to start a dispute. There should be a recording to the airline XXXX.

Complaint: Every month I send Capital One a check for the regular monthly payment, and I include a separate check for XXXX $ clearly labelled PRINCIPLE ONLY. They then take a portion of that XXXX $ PO payment and apply it to an additional monthly payment. I have contacted them 3 times and they will not stop doing this. I don't see how this is not theft/fraud.

Complaint: CAPITOL ONE refused to provide information concerning identity theft credit fraud ignoring fact act disclosure laws. i provided police reports, notrized ftc reports proof of id letters from XXXX snd a copy of fact act law disclosure and letter requesting specific infotmation. i wrote and called i was given false addresses put on hold for two hours, i tried for three months i have had no response.

Complaint: I inadvertently ordered two " samples '' from a pop up ( XXXX XXXX AKA XXXX XXXX ) which apparently automatically registered me for recurring expensive monthly orders. I tried to deal with XXXX XXXX/XXXX but they refused to issue credit for the orders that they sent and I refused. They did agree to stop the recurring deliveries. I called Capital One and the agent I spoke with said he was very aware of this company 's bad practices and when he called them they refused to deal with him. He told me I would have to speak with " Transaction Support Team ''. After speaking with them they must have called AXXXX XXXX because a credit appeared on my statement. But then two days later, XXXX XXXX billed me for even more money.
I contacted Capital One who kept issuing temporary credits, then debiting them perhaps because the pop up company wouldn't deal with them either or they thought they were duplicates, who knows. Each time I spoke with a Capital One rep they would finally say they understood the issue ( it was complicated because of all the credits and debits, rebills, etc. ) but they would direct me to their " Transaction Support Team '' : who, again, would eventually say they understood the issue but I would have to write a letter.
The response to each of my letters was a similar form letter saying they had already taken care of it when they had not taken care of anything. I doubt they took the time to even understand the issues since their assumptions about the problem were incorrect.
The last time I spoke with someone on this " support team '' he assured me that we understood each other ( after over an hour on the phone ) and that all I had to do is write one more letter. He even told me exactly how to phrase my request. I did as he directed and only received a copy of the same form letter in response. I give up trying to work this out with the Capital One " support team ''. I want to cancel the credit card but think it's better that I don't until this is settled and I will not give up until this is resolved properly.

Complaint: I submitted a complaint with CFPB on XXXX, complaint number XXXX-XXXX on capital one.On XXXX capital one responded that they needed more time to work on issue.On XXXX capital one called me at XXXX and the lady handling the complaint XXXX-XXXX told me that she really couldn't find paperwork from XXXX 0r XXXX but relied on a recorded phone calls from XXXX and XXXX.I told her can you provide me and CFPB with any evidence of those conversations as well as any paper work that says that capital one didn't agree taking off the negative/closed accounts ( trade line ) off all credit reports when I paid them off.She said she couldn't provide any details with me or CFPB.I told her I disagree with you on your findings.I told her if you/capital one denies my complaint you must give details of your findings.Therefore, I disagree with this lady/capital one handling complaint number XXXX-XXXX is lying.Originally she needed more time on complaint cause she couldn't produce any information or paper but did make up/lie on recorded conversations.She said im sorry, but she took the proper steps and unfortunately cant help me.She is lying
