Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: In early XX/XX/XXXX called capital one and disputed two late payments of XXXX each. As i pay with online banking and see that all payments were sent to the credit card company. the two late fees were given because the credit card company said the payments came in 24 hours to soon an were posted on the previous billing cycle. My statement date for late payments is the XX/XX/XXXX of the month. I use bill pay and the payments are sent out 2-3 of each month when my ssdi check clears. The second late fee was not removed till i opened a cfpb complaint XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. 24 hours after making the complaint a high level capital one rep with her own phone number and pin code to call called me. She removed the late fee but would not move the payments to the right months. On XX/XX/XXXX Statement the bill was wrong do to the late payment and there system showing late month payment was missing. I disputed that bill with the capital one rep. This month bill there is now a XXXX late fee on a disputed account for missing payments. A letter of dispute was faxed and mailed to capital one before this months billing cycle ended.

Problem during payment process
Complaint: Rec 'd bill from card company, due date was XX/XX/2019. sent money online to Capital One on XX/XX/2019, by bank released funds on XX/XX/2019 said money was sent to ( {$320.00} ) Capital One. Informed by Capital One all funds are held for 7 days before releasing to the account. Is this legal? Someone is drawing interest on this money and it's not me, Are they really allowed to hold money for 7 days? Before applying to account.?

Problem with fees
Complaint: I have had a Cabela 's credit card for 15 years and always mail my payment out on the XXXX or XXXX of the month to get there by the due date of the XXXX.
On XX/XX/XXXX, I mailed this out along with 3 other bills that were going across country. All 3 received and posted my payments on XX/XX/XXXX or XXXX. Capital One, who just took over Cabela 's credit cards when XXXX XXXX XXXX bought them, did not post my payment until XX/XX/XXXX and then charged me a late fee and interest the last 2 months. When I called them, they said I needed to check with the post office. The post office told me to have them provide a copy of the envelope to show the postmark date. When I asked them for this, they advised me they do not keep the envelope. They told me there is no way I can prove when they received the payment so have to go by the day they posted it ... which was late so fee and interest apply. I believe they received my payment before the due date, but waited to post it until after so they could charge me the fee and interest. This, because I always pay my balance in full and never pay any finance charge so they are not making any money from me. This problem just happened for the first time in 15 years and only after Capital One took it over.
When I posted this on a sportsman 's forum, my response lit up from other people who have just recently experienced the same problem from Capital One and who never had a problem with Cabela 's.

Old information reappears or never goes away
Complaint: Capital one credit card is reflecting negative on my credit report. They have sent me several of letters stating that they would not put it on my XXXX XXXX credit report. I have disputed several Times in they continue to not remove my credit report. I have sent the letter in more than once. It is only reflecting a late payment. I have requested several times for to be off my credit report to one will not provide me detail information regarding this account. They just recently added it on my XXXX credit report. The credit report does not have any detail information regarding this account. I am requesting XXXX remove this from my credit report. I also would like to have Capital one, XXXX, and XXXX validate the account or remove it from my credit report. Both account entails something different on both account. Please provide the FTC the letter that states that Capital One has agreed to remove from my credit report. The late payment reflects that it will be removed from my report this year.

Complaint: This is a follow up to a previous complaint that hasn't been solved. I deposited a check on XX/XX/XXXX with capital one. They accepted the check but a short while later they put my account on hold. After trying to get ahold of them for a long time they told me there were security issues so they had to close my account. However I still didn't get the funds from the check. I contacted the cfpb. About a month and a half later I finally was informed by mail that they still haven't verified the check, and I must either reverse the transaction or give them a number to verify. I have put in a request to reverse the transaction close to 3 weeks ago, with no response from capital one, as well as given a number to verify, with no response. The only way to communicate is to leave them a voicemail, but they haven't been responding.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 I received information via text from Capital One concerning some fraudulent charges. Ive had so many unaurthorize charge on my account so reached out to XXXX to resolve it but nothing happened. Several calls has been made to the bank to recover my fees but I was given no answer. I've had an account with Capital One for about 4 months now and I've received so many fees with has caused my account to go negative ... I valued being a customer but I dont like to give away money and because of that I've fallen behind on all of my bills. I have so many fees on my account and I know that its a bank error. Complaint: Capital One Placed TWO Hard Inquires on my credit report from poor explanation by one of their call enter staff members. So far Capital one has Removed ( 1 out of 2 ) of the hard inquires from my credit report.

I need BOTH to be removed PLEASE : On XX/XX/2018, I called Capital One to apply for a SECURED credit card. I spoke with a Capital One representative over the phone, to submit my information. After submitting my information, I was informed that I should wait 30 days for my results.
Around XX/XX/2018, I was informed that the application WAS NOT for the SECURED CREDIT CARD I stated I wanted to apply for. I asked the representative to transfer me to a manager, the manager told me I was to submit another application which will result in ANOTHER HARD INQUIRY on my credit report. Now I have TWO Capital One HARD INQUIRIES on my credit because of THEIR MISTAKES! I DEMAND THESE INQURIES TO BE REMOVED. THIS IS NOT A DISPUTE TO VERIFY IDENTITY, I AM REQUESTING TO REMOVE THIS INQUIRY DUE TO ERROR BY CAPITAL ONE.

Complaint: The lack of timely updating by creditors to both of our credit reports which impacts our ability to get any or correct and non usurious financing. Both my account and my wife 's account need to be identified and both of our specific credit reports updated correctly since the government forces us to be linked. The credit report balances are incorrect by as much as two months. The disputes are never finalized and third party credit reporting is even more incorrect. In my opinion a great scam creating fraudulent information being submitted to lenders. Since the Credit Bureaus dance around the problem consistently reporting back they merely collect the data, then the problem evidently is in the correct and timely reporting of payments and balances since these banks are quick to post negatives even when wrong! Try to correct them 60 or 90 days if that. EVEN though I requested the correct balances be validated and supplied a credit bureau fax number the correct amounts were not posted. Hence my scores actually went down further impacting our ability to secure funding in any manner with adverse actions even from those we never submitted to who pulled unauthorized reports. Even while balances were INCORRECT for a considerable time and adjustments were finally made 6 or 8 months later our credit was impacted and we were left with little to no recourse under the laws written by the honorable s.

Complaint: This is now the 2nd time have found that CapitalOne raised credit limit without approval. Credit card companies should not do this and they know high limits, whether used on not, adversely affect credit ratios and thus scores. With this in mind, one has to question why they would raise limits without getting authorization first? I am certain they would say as a convenience but I doubt that is the motivation. The bigger question is in what way this practice fuels their greed?
The second issue is they do not have an easy 'mechanism ' to get it reduced. On the website can request an increase but have to call to have it decreased which means having to go through the queue, then verification process, then I'm guessing a couple agents to get to the right one, then probably some sales pitches ... and all this for something never asked nor authorized.
The third and unrelated issue is that Capital One still posts a business credit card to my personal credit file. No other business card has ever done this so I request that CapitalOne remove the 'connection ' to my personal credit. We are a very established business and if they refuse then I will simply be cancelling the card. The primary issue is that as a business card, the balance fluctuates quite a bit and this can also adversely affect the credit ratios.
