Complaint: XXXX XXXX has been harassing me for months. I repeatedly tell them I am not familiar with a Capitol One account with a balance of {$1600.00}. The employee number of person I spoke to last is XXXX. Calls come from many many numbers. Here are a few. XXXX, XXXX, XXXX. They all ways start off asking me personal information before identifying themselves. I tell them to quit harassing me, but yet they continue! I also told them I never had any kind of contract with XXXX XXXX and will not talk to them. They tell me they bought account. I tell them I am sorry for them because again, I have no contract with them.

Complaint: I have a very high interest Capital One Card that also charges a membership fee. A few times I've tried to get the interest rate lowered and membership fee dropped ( my credit score is usually in the high 600 's - 700 range ), but was was told I'd have to apply for another Capital One card to receive more favorable terms. So, finally about a month or so back I decided to apply for another Capital One card that had 0 % XXXXnterest for a year and no membership fee, and I was approved. A bit after receiving the new card in the mail, I called Capital One to activate the card. At that time I told the Capital One Rep that I had gotten this card for the sole purpose of transferring the balance from the high interest Capital One Quicksilver card to the new 0 % interest Capital One Savor card. The Rep said she could take care of that, and would you like to do that today? I said no, that I had to get back to work, but I'd call back soon to take care of it. Yesterday on XX/XX/2019, I called Capital One to do just that, but this Rep told me I couldn't and that I was given the wrong information from the previous Rep. I said, something needed to be done since I was given false information. And to add insult to injury, I used the higher rate card on an expensive car repair and other purchases and would have used the Capital Savor Card with 0 % interest had I know this information. I was then told that nothing could be done, but that my interest rate on the Capital One Quicksilver card could be lowered from 21.5 % to 17.15 % LOL ( I just looked on the Capital One ap today and it's still at 21.5 % btw ). 1. The way that Capital One operates, by forcing a consumer to apply for an additional card to receive a lower interest rate and no membership fee is predatory and penalizes the borrower by lowering their credit score and forcing them to increase their amount of available credit. 2. To make matters worse, the company does not honor promises made by their own employees, which takes their predatory nature to an even higher level.

Complaint: Deceptive business practices On or about XX/XX/2018 I applied for a capital one credit card ( secured ). After a time period, the application expired. I called capital one concerning the application and they stated to reapply. I called to check status and representative stated it was denied due to a previous application, and stated to reapply again. I checked on the status and again was told XXXX reapply and I was denied because I reapplied. Capital One customer service decieved and encouraged me to make multiple applications to be submitted which resulted in my application denials and credit inquires.I then found that Company policy states that a grace period in between applications are to be made but this was not presented to me until after multiple applications. I found to be the reason for such a denial to take place, due to lack in training of Capital One representatives. The response from capital one was that they can not approve the application due to multiple applications. however did not state it was due to representatives not informing customers of such a grace period or not to encourage further multiple applications resulting in denials of credit card. I have reviewed my recordings of these incidents, and it confirmed that it was a customer service error. As far as inquiries, I was not sure which ones needed deleting or confirming as I was told numerous times to submit multiple applications. Complaint: XX/XX/2019 A charge for a XXXX purchased was charged. I received my statement and contacted capitalone about the charge. I explained to them that I did go into a XXXX store to establish new service to get a new XXXX. I was with the sales guy and had the phone picked out and was at the last step which was to sign and than take my phone that i purchased. I had my card out, but i had him wait a moment because i found a better deal at a target phone kiosk. I explained to him that i want to check out targets mobile kiosk to see there specials. he got upset and took all of the papers that I DID NOT SIGN and my card and the phone that was still wrapped into the back. He came back out and gave me my card and information about the plan NOTHING I signed. I explained this to them about 5 times, after talking with different country reps that couldnt understand, i finally speak with someone in the states today ( on the phone for over 2 hours today, in the past about another 2 hours explaining ). Today the guy at capitalone ( another country ) had me be on hold while he calls the store that the card was charged, the guy on the phone couldnt find the charge, he said he would transfer us to the corporate accounting department. The guy at capitalone, me and the lady in the corporate accounting was discussing the above. I gave her all of my personal information and capitalone charge information. She than asked for a pin or a code, i said i dont have an account and dont know the pin. she than said this is fraud and she needs to put me on hold. After that, the line disconnected. After calling back to capitalone on hold for another 30 minutes, the guy said ( in the US ) there is nothing else for me to do but we can not help you anymore. The charge isnt mine, i didnt get credit for this charge.

Complaint: I tried numerous time to have two hard inquiries not authorized. One is with Capital One credit card offer sent in the mail. I already have a Capital One credit card but they offered an upgrade that I did not get They pulled my report without me being told. This was XX/XX/XXXX. The second involves XXXX XXXX pulling report when their online add for mortgage rates said " no need to pull credit ". This was XX/XX/XXXX. After many phone calls to credit reporting companies [ you can't dispute online ] they told me to contact companies directly Guess what?, most popular response was " I will have to transfer you " with no results. If by chance I did not see something in the fine print, I can not even get a response to that. After more than 6 hours today XX/XX/XXXX I have had it.

Complaint: A customer service agent from the original creditor Capitol One reached out to me by email and phone on Tuesday around XXXX. At first when I was talking to her, I was very hesitant about giving her my info without her verifying what info she actually had on this account. Mind you this conversation was recorded. When I finally asked the lady if I give her my social security or the last four will she verify that it is my social security and if not take this off my credit report. She did not agree to removing it off my credit report which I did not understand but I do know that it is fraud to not remove an account that can be proven not to be mines off of my account. However, I gave her the number and she did research and said no that is NOT the social security number that we have on file. would that not be enough to remove that from my credit file? She asked me to send my documents in to here ; however, I do not feel comfortable sending my documents to a company I am not affiliated with. I have decided that I will stand my ground. The case number I was supplied on this case is XXXX. If this was under my social security number I would have filed a fraud dispute ; however, since they have confirmed to me that it is not my social after all these years I beg you to quit letting them falsely keep this on my account and dampen my good credit history by coming after the wrong person. PLEASE.
