Complaint: In XXXX and XXXX of 2018, I called one of my creditors which is Capital One.
I was trying to catch my payments up. And as much as I care about my credit. I called Capital one to ask them what will be the minimum payment I need to make before it goes into a 30 day late. For both months I called in, I asked the same question. And for each month they gave me a amount. I made those payments. Came XX/XX/2018, I realized when I go to check my credit, they had both XXXX and XXXX a 30 day late on my credit. I immediately started to contact them about that and told them that was incorrect. If I'm not mistaken, when I called the in one of the Reps told me that It was a different amount that was needed, and not what I paid. I told them I paid what was told to me that was needed to be paid. I asked them on several attempts to check for the recorded phone calls for both months. I've sent letters, over and over again in my defense and they refuse to check the the phone recordings.

Problem with rewards from credit card
Complaint: I was issued a credit card that had a rewards program in which the points where to be used towards the purchase of a vehicle from XXXX. I did not know this until the first use, so after discussing the matter over the phone that I was not interested in buying a car but just getting cash back. Then they exchange that card for one with cash back and even though I have at the present time {$52.00} on the rewards program, they claim that I am starting a new account and do not qualify for cash back. On the other card I had {$260.00} It is my opinion, that this is a typical " Bait and Switch operation ''. This card is called the " extended family card '' from Capital One and the least amount you need is XXXX dollars to qualify for cash back. Thank you

Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: Back in 2012, my {$200.00} XXXX Secured Credit Card was still open and was fraudulently used and allowed to soar past {$420.00} high limit. While the company gave me back my security deposit ( with no interest I might add ), they said I had to pay the balance in full or otherwise it would be reported as a collection on my credit report. Capital One should be fined for this type of activity for conveying a threat to a customer and forcing them to make payments on purchases they did not make and refuse to send any supporting documentation with my signature. I should be refunded with full restitution of any money over {$200.00} plus interest plus damages to my credit for years and having to pay higher interest rates due to their inaction and non-compliance with federal financial rules and regulations.
Important Note : The President of the University without notice decided that no further personal mail would be allowed through the University mail system. I was a new hire and went to my superior to inform him I was still living in a motel and could not change the address to the motel as it sometimes changed based on pricing. This caused a dilemma.

Complaint: The name of the company is XXXX XXXX ( not sure if that is how it is spelled ), the amount they said was XXXX, when i was going through the list of questions to ask a fraudulent debt collector, Mr. XXXX got upset. I ask the address of the collections agency, he would not give it advising that in this world of XXXX it would not be safe. When i asked for the address of the debtor, he got upset and refused to answer advising since i had already said I was me ( saying my name ) and verified my birth date that was enough and then got upset saying i was being difficult and refusing to help. He hung up, i then called back to talk to him again, to advise him i was asking the questions to make sure he wasn't a fraud. He then got more upset and said he would garnish my wages and have me served with papers at my work or home. i tried to explain why i was asking and he said he was blocking my number.

Credit card company won't work with you while you're going through financial hardship
Complaint: I have a Capital One Credit Card where I make a XXXX dollar minimum payment. I previously went through a Financial Hardship and had been late on making a few payment In 2015. I contacted Capital one myself directly and entered into a payment plan to uphold my responsibility and said agreement that they proposed. After said agreement was completed and I was back on track as I even brought myself current earlier than the plan allowed for I came to find out a while later that I was reported as never have being made a payment and Late for a period of 6 months or greater when I was making payments during said time under their provisions. As a result my interest rate has been increased ever since the event and I have tried to obtain another card to take advantage of a lower credit card rate or offer as well as save interest and get out of said debt but the information being currently reported is hurting me from obtaining another Card with better terms.I want to make it clear that I have had stellar payment history prior to the Financial Hardship as well as thereafter. I have been carrying out my obligations effectively.

Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Complaint: I initially contacted Capital One within 2-3 days after a charge for {$870.00} posted to my account. I notified them that the charge was not correct and services had be paid for by other means. I further provided the revised invoice for services which shows that the original amount due was {$850.00}. The merchant misapplied my payment to another account, causing them to charge me again for the original amount due of {$850.00} as well as a {$25.00} late fee - {$870.00} total. The original amount of {$850.00} has already been paid in full and on time, the charge to my Capital One account ( which was on file with the this provider ) includes a duplicate payment and a wrongly assessed late fee. I further provided proof of payment. The claim at one point was paid, and then reversed a short time later. After several months of back and forth and explaining the situation to several representatives, and re-submitting the same information several times, I was told that the claim was denied because it was not filed timely - which is absolutely not true. The only untimeliness involving this claim has been on Capital One 's behalf in their failure to resolve the issue. To deny the claim based on untimeliness, is inaccurate, no applicable and completely prejudicial.
I have been a Capital One customer for years, and this entire process has been very frustrating and disappointing. I ask that you please take into consideration the forgoing information and re-evaluate the claim in my favor.
