Complaint: the company debt collector, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX va XXXX amount of debt XXXX the company was notified when we noticed the amount on my credit report, i disputed the debt captial one replied it was fraud, XXXX keeps contacting me by phone and by letter about this debt, i have sent them letters, and also the document from capitol one showing it was fraud, XXXX continues to disregard the fcra and fdca, and they are abuseive on the phone, this has been going on for month, the address they show on the debt i never lived at ... this was told to them they continue to hound me and persist i fill out papers for them that consist of what their job is for i refuse to give them any of my info much less do their job for them, i can attach letter i have sent them even by email

Complaint: Called Capital one on XX/XX/XXXXto inquire about a late payment reported without my knowledge or consent back in XX/XX/XXXX. I've just recently became aware that I was an authorized user for my mothers account. Mother was two months past due, instead of calling both people who are accredited to the account they only notified or tried to reach my mother. Reported me as being two months late without any notification. Would like these charges removed and would like to be notified in the future if the balance is past due so I can avoid this from happening again. Thank you so much in advance

Complaint: I made a payment over 3 months ago using Capital One and that payment was immediately denied. Last week that payment which happened 3 months ago was taken out of my checking account without my permission. When I called Capital One they said it was a system failure that day and the payment I originally made went through. I was told that this happened to many customers on that particular day. When this was denied I made other means of payment. When Capital One took my money out of my checking they gave me no notice and caused my debit card to be declined several times.I disputed this charge but to this day they keep giving me the run around and will not send me the forms to fill out. I called three times without any help. I took screen shots of the message i received from Capital One when the payment was denied. They have since removed that document and have covered up any wrong doing. I would love to post that screen shot here if possible. I also received a text message from Capital One that said payment was not accepted. Thank you for your time.

Complaint: I have a loan with CAPITAL ONE BANK USA. I have always made my payments on time. For some reason, I realized that there was a late payment on my credit report. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record with this company. I tried contacting both XXXX, XXXX and CAPITAL ONE BANK USA with no successful resolution. XXXX and XXXX were reporting me late. There was definitely an error on their part. I was never 30 days late.

Complaint: I worked and followed step by step the identity theft.gov 's way to handle these situations of identity fraud. I sent in all paperwork, every single document requested and needed for these companies to fix these issues and this is the second company to send me a letter stating there is nothing they can do. I want to take the investigation further as I have a very good idea of who the suspect ( s ) are and believe there is a fraud 'ring ' going on but I will finish working on my issues first. So after they received all necessary information to removed the hard inquiries from my credit report which I have worked tirelessly for years to get to where it is they just simply state they don't have enough information help, although all necessary document where sent to them. I had to go through this same process with CXXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) and now because it has been well after the thirty days I have to with the rest of them. I want to thank you for your help with them as they sent out a letter which must have been nearly immediately after receiving whatever they received from you apologizing and removing the inquires so thank you very much. Unfortunately I will be sending four or five ( I cant think of ther exact number right now of how many more they tried to open ) so I apologize in advance for that, I will probably copy and paste this as my hands literally hurt from spending all day on the computer looking up my rights and what I can do etc. So all I want from these companies is for them to remove the inquires from my hard earned credit report and any and all information on the applications etc they have from the fraudulent applications so I can move forward with my case against these criminals. Thank you so much, you guys and the XXXXv site have been unbelievably helpful ; when no one else was.

Complaint: I entered into a promotional balance transfer transaction with my Capital One Credit Card in XX/XX/XXXX where I paid a 2-3 % fee up front and then received 0 % interest on this balance for 18 months. I was going to wait until my credit card statement indicated that my promotional period was coming to an end and therefore I need to pay the balance or be charged interest, but this disclosure never appeared on my statement. Instead I just received a statement with the interest charge once that promotional period ended. My XX/XX/XXXX statement didn't have any indication that my promotional period was ending, including in the section titled " account notifications '', which contained the following statement : " Welcome to your account notifications. Check back here each month for important updated about your account ''. This section should have disclosed the fact that my promotion was ending and if I didn't pay the balance on my statement I would be charged interest ( because that's an important update about my account ). My XX/XX/XXXX statement also didn't disclose anything, but now had a {$110.00} interest charge. Because there is a lag between when you initiate the transaction and the balance actually transfers, I was never aware from the beginning when the promotional period exactly ended ( again I was going to rely on the credit card statement ). When I called Capital One to complain and ask that they reverse the interest charge and I'll pay the balance off immediately, they refused and said its not their policy to put this information on the statements ( even though all my other banking relationships do this and this is the very practice the CFPB was created to eliminate ) and that its on the consumer to know when the period ends. They also referenced a confirmation statement that is mailed to consumers when the balance transfer is completed which has the exact period end date, but I never received this. Its not available on my online account documents either. This is predatory and Capital One knows that people aren't going to be aware of when this promotional period ends and therefore get hit with at least one interest payment assuming they were planning on paying down the balance.

Received a text message from capital one asking if I was authorizing purchase - I immediately responded yes. Caterer tried to run my credit card 8 times - all declined. Received an email from capital email on XX/XX/XXXX asking if I was authorizing purchase - since I thought I would be charged on this visa I responded no as explathe transaction was declined 8 times even though I immediately responded to their text message on my cell phone, I had to use my MasterCard to pay on XX/XX/XXXX. Highly embarrassed and caused further emotional stress during a very difficult time - there should have been no problem once I ok, d the transaction. Caterer kept asking me if I was over my limit.

Problem with personal statement of dispute
Complaint: I recently mailed letters, as per my rights as the Fair Credit Reporting Act allows, to the three credit bureaus demanding proof of this alleged charged-off account, furnished by Capital One or remove the account from my files with them. The bureaus reported back within several weeks that they were regarding this account as valid, but I have not received any proof as to the validity of the account. Specifically, XXXX has it listed in their latest report to me that investigation complete-reported by data furnished. Capital One reports the account in such a manner yet demonstrated that the investigation, was in fact not complete in the sense of their subsequent mailing to me directly. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from Capital One requesting that I provide them with information regarding the nature of my dispute. My demand was straightforward, proof the validity of this account, the basis that it is being furnished to the credit bureaus and verify it by the manner that a holder of the right to furnish that information should, signed valid contract, chain of assignments of any holders of the alleged account and a sum certain accounting of the amount of the account, including all fees and interest. They appear to be either unable or unwilling to provide this information and if they can not prove this account, what right does Capital One have to put this information on my credit report in the first place? Apparently they have told the three credit bureaus that the account was valid as listed yet write me asking for information pertaining to the account, showing no proof as to the positive existence of this account yet requesting information of me regarding how the account is showing on my credit reports. They should know this since they are furnishing the information and if they can not confirm that information they are placing there is correct then they should remove that information. I am familiar with the Unfair, Deceptive, Abusive Acts or Practices part of the Dodd-Frank Bill. This should certainly apply in how this company is conducting its business here. If they can not prove the validity, of this account, if it is unverifiable, they should delete it. They are violating the law otherwise. Also, along the lines of the XXXX, the account is listed as being charged-off back in XXXX, yet in XXXX they added another {$160.00} on what strongly appears to be another violation. And they list a credit limit of {$8600.00} to an account that is allegedly closed and have it listed on a couple of my credit reports at 73 % usage. I would imagine if the account was actually closed and subsequently charged-off the term usage in this matter would fall under being a deceptive act.
