Complaint: I have a Cabela 's credit card from Capital One.
I pay all my bills on the first of the month.
In XX/XX/XXXX I paid on the principle on the XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I was charged {$27.00} late fee.
I was told that my payment on the XX/XX/XXXX was credited to XX/XX/XXXX.
How can I pay the XX/XX/XXXX payment in XX/XX/XXXX?
If you pay in the month your payment is due it should be credited to that month.

Overcharged for something you did purchase with the card
Complaint: This complaint is perhaps a little tardy as to the merchant who was posting unpermitted charges, my complaint is the handling of the situation by Capital One.
I will try and be brief : I signed up for advertising and SEO from a california company with my Capital One Credit card, They were unable to deliver the promised service adn the account was cancelled, for months they continued to post charges of various amounts that capital one would not block, i declared the fraud capital one refused to credit the wrongly charges funds and instead stated that they needed me to have a new card - that card was issued ending in XXXX. Trouble was that when the account person at the fraudulent charger called capital one CAPITAL ONE GAVE THEM THE NEW ACCOUNT NUMBER, next capital one says the only thing we can do is close the account ( the credit line of {$10000.00} had become vital to my business and paid 1.5 % cash back ) So I agreed, closing the account because they said after it was closed I could order a new one., so once the account was closed and paid off ( i got the evil merchant to refund some of the taken money ) I responded to an advert by capital one to me for another cash back credit card and I accepted the offer - THEY LIED the card i have been using does not have a cash back feature!!!! On top of that they now say they are only willing to provide a {$500.00} line of credit, odd since I have paid off all revolving debt, have been earning more and own a home now. Beware they are tricky!!!!

Complaint: Hello I am disputing a account with Capital One. The reason is because on XX/XX/2019 i made a call to Capital One and they told me on call that my account was no longer open .They closed it with no notice or call. They told me the reason why they closed my account and they said because of a reverse payment caused by Fraud. The payment that made on XX/XX/2019was reverse. I feel that this matter needed to be taken care of with a notice or call before they closed my account. So the next step that I made was to contact XXXX my personal Bank account and told me that there was No Fraud Activity on my account. I return a call to Capital One to notify them that there was a mistake and that I needed my account to be reopened. I spoke to a representative and she couldnt help me so I told her that i wanted to speak to the manager someone above and she also couldnt help me and said that they couldnt reopen my account. I feel that this situation Is a concern and needs to be taken care of immediately. I would like for my account to be reopen and continue paying for it like I have been doing. I am sending my proof of Documents to show that I have been paying on my Capital One account up to date. Please if any questions feel free to call or send me a notice of this concern and matter.

Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX we became aware that someone had ordered a copy of my credit card to be sent to NY, a state I don't live in nor have ever lived in. I called CapitalOne right away and told them to cancel the card. They agreed to cancel that card and issue a new card with a new number. I also complained about the {$16.00} " Fast Card Fee '' and was assured that it would be refunded to the account.
I never received a new card. The next thing I know I get a letter saying that they investigated for fraud and determined that there was no fraud and that I am responsible for the charges. I also received a bill for the same card number, which was never cancelled, with thousands of dollars charged to the card for transactions I do not recognize. Moreover, I received notice that they closed the account for violating the terms of the agreement, which damaged my credit score.
I called CapitalOne again right away ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and asked why this was allowed to happen as I told them to cancel the card more than a month ago as soon as I realized someone had ordered a card fraudulently. No explanation. They agreed to open a case at that time and start investigating.
It has now been over two weeks and I am still getting the run around. My account is still closed, my credit is still affected. None of this should have been allowed to happen. If CapitalOne had closed my card on XX/XX/XXXX as they said they would do, all of this could have been avoided.
As if this weren't enough, CapitalOne claims that they did not send the first letter saying that they investigated and have no record of the case number on that letter. We called a phone number in that letter and gave the person on the phone sensitive information. I have twice sent this letter to CapitalOne 's abuse department for confirmation that it was indeed a fraudulent letter but they have not responded to that either

Complaint: I just received notification that my credit score has decreased by 31 points!! Capital One has reported an over the limit balance on my credit report for an account I did not sign for. I do not have a contractual obligation with Capital One. I should be listed as an authorized user and that is it! I did not complete an application for credit. This is my father 's XXXX XXXX 's account. This is adversely affecting me! I am prepared to take legal action if necessary!

Complaint: On XX/XX/19, I purchased a laptop screen in the amount of {$160.00} using my Capital One credit card. Within a few days of the screen 's arrival, I determined that the screen was defective. I attempted to reinstall it multiple times and ran a full diagnostic on the computer. I have a background in technology. THE SCREEN IS DEFECTIVE. This is a SCAM. I provided Capital One 's dispute department with a written and signed statement, evidence of a warranty offered at the time of the sale as well as the communication log between the retailer and me. In that communication log, I requested a new screen within the warranty period. The retailer has done nothing but stall and has not followed through on the warranty. Further, you will see in the conversation log that I requested a return shipping label which the vendor completely ignored. Capital One stated Visa wouldn't support me because I still had the screen. I guess they're illiterate because I clearly made an attempt to return the screen and it was ignored.
Capital One is requesting a copy of the " purchase Agreement / contract ''. Who the hell signs a purchase contract for an XXXX-like transaction?? This entire situation defies logic. I'm done with them. Just spent nearly 50 minutes on hold only to have the call conveniently disconnected. Of course, they never called back despite confirming my call back number on the call. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. What does it take to win a dispute? The product is defective. The product has a warranty. The communication log between myself and the retailer was provided evidencing my request for a replacement. I ASKED the vendor to send a return label. THEY NEVER RESPONDED and still haven't TO THIS DAY. XXXX VISA and XXXX Capital One! They don't have your back anymore. So here 's where I'm at. I will not pay this bill. I have a superior credit score and I'm willing to sacrifice it on principals alone. Would appreciate your help but if the matter isn't resolved through your firm, I'll be closing my account with the unpaid balance. Thank You,

Complaint: XX/XX/2017 XXXX XXXX XXXX, Capital One Auto Financing is a wrongful hard inquire on my XXXX credit report. Also, Capital One Auto Finacing appears on my XXXX also. I contacted XXXX and they said that the inquire is to old to summit anything to the company so I have to contact them directly to get a letter of deletion. I told XXXX the company said they cant locate any application on file to see that they ever did business with me and will not send out anything but will respond if the XXXX sends them something. Complaint: I have been call ed on my cell phone as well as at my job by several shell companies under the same umbrella trying to collect on a capitol one credit that was included in a chapter XXXX bankruptcy in XX/XX/2009. I have repeatedly told them that the credit card in question was included in the bankruptcy. Each time, they place me on hold, they verify what I have told them and tell me that I will be taken off the call list. Unfortunately, the following week, I am contacting by a " new cmpany '' that they say is not affiliated with any of the previous callers. They always say my name will be removed from the list, but I continue to get calls at work and my cell phone.
