Complaint: I made a purchase for {$59.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. I paid the bill through on line banking on XX/XX/XXXX. The purchase was still on the statement that I received in XX/XX/XXXX along with a late fee and interest. On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent a letter to Capital One with documentation from XXXX XXXX that the bill had been paid. On XX/XX/XXXX, I was advised that the matter was being investigated. I was asked for documentation from XXXX again and sent it to a fax number that had been given to me by a customer service representative. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter telling me that the dispute was closed since Capital One had not received a response to its prior letter for more information. When I called, I was told that the customer service person had given me the wrong fax number. I faxed all documents to the new fax number that was given to me on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called to ask for status. I was told that I had to get a transmission form from XXXX XXXX and I was given a fax number for the form ; form sent on XX/XX/XXXX. When I called on XX/XX/XXXX, I was told that the form was not received because the fax number was incorrect. On XX/XX/XXXX, I was in a conference call with Capital One and a representative of XXXX. XXXX faxed proof of payment to Capital One. As of today, XX/XX/XXXX, Capital One states that the proof of payment from XXXX was not received and that my original payment did not have the complete account number on it so the money paid was not credited to my account. XXXX has advised that the complete account number was on the electronica payment made on XX/XX/XXXX. My {$59.00} purchase now has become {$250.00}.

Complaint: Hello! I filed a Chapter XXXX Bankruptcy in ( I believe ) XX/XX/XXXX, it was dismissed a few months later. There were 3 accounts with 2 creditors ( 2 with Capital One and 1 account with XXXX XXXX XXXX ) that were all charged off in XXXX of XXXX. I never received any communication from these creditors regarding the accounts after they were charged off. Now, over 3 years later, between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, all XXXX of these suddenly appeared on my credit report as " failed to pay ''. Is this legal?

Complaint: Hello, I've had my Capital One Venture account since XXXX. It was no longer my primary card but I recently decided to begin re-using the account to keep it active. I called Capital One on XX/XX/XXXX to convert from a Venture card to a Quicksilver card and have those cards mailed to us so we could begin using the accounts again. At the time of my call, my account was open and in good standing with zero issues. I explained that we'd be using the cards more often and was acknowledged by the associate, who was more than happy to have the new cards shipped our way. Upon receiving the cards today, XX/XX/XXXX, I called Capital One to activate the cards and was informed that on XX/XX/XXXX my account was closed for inactivity and there was nothing they could do to re-open the account. Please note the account was closed 2 days after they mailed new cards for a reason I called to prevent, and before I had a chance to receive the cards. I called them immediately upon receiving the new cards in the mail. I am currently serving on XXXX XXXX with the XXXX and have served since XX/XX/XXXX. I read about another XXXX XXXX XXXX having his account re-opened with Capital One once they found out he served. Do I have any extra rights or ability to have my account re-considered since I have all the intent of using the account and do not want my average age of credit to take a hit with an unnecessary closure? I appreciate any and all help and thank you for your time and assistance.

Complaint: In XXXX, XXXX, XXXX of XXXX after phone conversations with Capital One and XXXX XXXX they informed me the court dates scheduled in months above to collect debt would be canceled, allowing me more time to resolve the debt. I contacted XXXX District Court who confirmed dates were canceled by creditors, I was not required to appear. However, Capital one ( in XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX. ( in XX/XX/XXXX ) did appear in court on these dates and received default judgements, since I was not in appearance. judgement for Capital one XX/XX/XXXX {$6100.00}, XX/XX/XXXX {$2400.00}, XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX {$2800.00}, please see attached. I did not have knowledge of the judgements until XXXX, they appeared on my credit reports. I contacted XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX in XXXX to inform them and assumed they were resolved, the judgements disappeared from, annual credit report and the credit monitoring service I pay directly to XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX. These judgments still do not appear on any report I have access to. I applied for a mortgage in XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX, and was shocked and blindsided to learn these judgements .were reported to this lender and on my credit reports the lender obtained from all 3 agencies. They reported the judgements I was led to believe were deleted after I informed them of Capital one and XXXX XXXX 's actions and how they obtained these judgements.

I called Capital one and the Rep said it was nothing he could do so i'm forced to file a compliant against them for these two accounts. Complaint: On or about XX/XX/2019, I sent Capital One a letter requesting to lower my ( APRs ) and interest rate for a couple of months until I get back on track with my credit cards payments for two credit cards. I explain to them that I was having a hardship and spoke to several representatives in the month of XX/XX/2019, XX/XX/2019, was told by XXXX a letter went out, spoke to XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX XXXX, and she told me that the late fees will be removed for 90 days on both accounts the XXXX XXXX credit card and the Platinum credit card. I explain that I needed to pay {$25.00} a month until XX/XX/2019, due to illness and the government shut down which was told to them a few months ago because I relied on my finance income as well and he works for the government. Until XX/XX/2019 I have never paid Capital One late for years and XXXX told me I would be put in a program from the Speciality department at Capital One on XX/XX/2019, but I have never received anything in writing stating what is told to me over the phone, and every time I called back I have to start over again with another representative with the process. General letters are sent out without with Capital One un-willing to lower the interest rate of ( APR, s ) on both cards a letter was sent from the on XX/XX/19 and XX/XX/19 and everything promise over the phone was not put in writing from the Specialty department and no person to contact on the letter sent out to me.

Complaint: I have written it all our and sent in a good format to the cc company Capital One. But, what happened is, I charged a reservation to the card on approx. XX/XX/19 for a XX/XX/19 reservation date. When I saw the charge on my stmt I didn't recognize it and there was no phone # to call the " XXXX '' charge. I called and asked C1 if they could tell me, they said no, you have to file a dispute and they will send the info in a few days. When I go it on approx. XX/XX/19, I freaked ... '' it was my charge '' and I wanted it. On XX/XX/19 I called C1 and they said they would " submit '' this to the fraud dept to correct. I called and emailed XXXX with the Res # that I wanted to keep the reservation, they said ok once you re-pay and I had C1 re-pay. Then on XX/XX/19 XXXX sent me an email and asked for a " letter from the cc company that I had withdrawn the dispute ''. I again called C1 who said they never have done that and don't have the abilities to do that but all should be fine as it was re-paid. I spoke with XXXX to inform them of this and they said ok. It was re-paid on XX/XX/19. Then 2 weeks later on XX/XX/19 I received a cancellation of the reservation by XXXX, who now had my money and as of this date the reservation date has not even come up, so it is not that I did not show up. Which is the only way they can state that I loose my money right? I was very stressed and alarmed and called C1 and told them all, they said they would remove the charge from my account but they had to send me a letter to request my documents in order to complete the credit. I took them two more phone calls from me and another 25 days to receive their letter with the instructions. On XX/XX/19 I faxed them 19 pages as I have all this proof and believing C1 would then re-cancel the payment. In the meantime I had to make another separate reservation costing me again but believing I would get a final credit. C1 called me today XX/XX/19 and said it is " AGAINST THEIR POLICY TO ENABLE A DISPUTE TWICE ... or was visa/master cards policy ... ( she wasn't sure just said that was their position ) ''. That, ( if even true is ridiculous ) any such policy was never told to me nor do I see any such " policy '' in any written terms. And for either of them to charge me for a " FUTURE '' RESERVATION DATE THAT THEY JUST TOOK MY MONEY THEN CANCELLED MUST BE ILLEGAL '' Or at least correctable at this point. I HOPE AND PRAY THIS CAN BE CORRECTED AS AN INVALID USEROUS AS WELL AS VERY UNHELPFUL ASSISTANCE BY BOTH COMPANIES AND THAT I CAN RECEIVE MY COST BACK.

Complaint: I worked so hard to get my identity theft information off of my account. I opened a new account with Capital one to bring my credit up and I am paid almost in full on the account right now. Initially, I opened the account less than 3 mos ago and they did not send my invoice so I did not know the first payment was due till i called and they told me I was ok. Had no other issues till I accidentally made a full payment on the account when I was trying to make a lower payment and the money was returned but I immediately made a payment. I looked at my credit report and it is reporting 30-59 days late on the credit bureaus.

Complaint: I contacted Capital One 360 to have them reverse a XXXX payment from a merchant who did not provide me with the service that I was told to transfer money for. I contacted XXXX and because the merchant had me send money they told me to contact my bank to reverse the charge. Capital One denied my claim saying it was authorized. I never said it was not authorized, I said I paid for a service that I never received!!! They usually ask you questions to clarify what happened between the merchant and myself and they did not ask those questions to properly investigate. They did not even investigate my claim for what the actual issue was.

Complaint: Capital One prepaid credit card of {$300.00}. Payed off balance and closed account in XXXX, was told refund would be issued after 30 days. Called again at that time, was told after 60 days. Called again at that time, was told check was issued, should arrive in 7-10 days. Called again after that time, was told someone would call me back. Called one week later ( today ), was told no check was ever issued, call after 90 days. The stories and timelines never add up and most of the people I speak have foreign accents. I feel that I am being scammed.
