Complaint: Capital One Bank ending account number ****XXXX statement attached, reports a balance exceeding {$10000.00}. My credit limit on this card is {$3500.00}. The statement reflects a payment of {$6600.00} and during that same time period there were transactions on this account of {$16000.00}. I did not make this {$6600.00} payment nor did I charge over {$16000.00}. This card is being used fraudulently. I have contacted Capital One and notified them of the fraudulent activity, however I have not been successful in getting this issue resolved. Consequently, I am being taken to collections for the outstanding balance due on this credit card. I did not use this credit card nor did I charge over {$10000.00} on this credit card. I respectfully request that Capital One Bank reverse these fraudulent charges and stop the collection proceeding.

Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have a Neiman Marcus Store Credit Card. On XX/XX/XXXX I tried to make a online purchase and the purchase was declined, I knew that I had money available on this card. I called customer care and was told that there was a block on the card from XX/XX/XXXX because of fraudulent activity on the card. I knew this was not true because used the cared in XX/XX/XXXX to make a purchase at the Neiman Marcus store in Washington DC. This is the second time this has happened to me, the bill has been payed on time every month never been late ever since the card account was opened. Back in XX/XX/XXXX they sent me a gift card for {$50.00} for opening the account. I used the gift card and then charged my Neiman Marcus Card. I called the customer service number on the back of the card and the agent was very nasty and placed a fraudulent activity of my credit card, and this keep reoccurring. For Nieman Marcus to be a High End store there customer service is horrible, and this account doesn't fit the criteria for fraudulent because nothing fraudulent has ever occurred on this account. I am XXXX years old and this has been my worst credit card experience. Khols treats there customers better than this.

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX, I was hired for a XXXX XXXX XXXX job at The XXXX XXXX XXXX. This turned out to be a huge scam. I was a victim of identity theft. The bank will not issue me the money because they said I was the one making the purchases. On XX/XX/XXXX, I recieved my Platinum Capital One card in the mail and was ready to use this for work to order supplies for work by buying giftcards and sending the information over to my boss through XXXX XXXX ( scam ). On XX/XX/XXXX, they linked the scammers bank onto my account ( this was a work at home scam ) XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX. They paid the first amount owed totaling {$1000.00} with a fradulent check. Than they put another credit line of {$1000.00}. They mailed me a 4 XXXX giftcards for my purchases. I gave those cards to my employer ( turned out to be a scam artist ) 3 {$50.00} cards and one {$15.00} Order number : XXXX Order date : XX/XX/2019 Shipping method : STD Miles redeemed : XXXX Item : {$50.00} XXXX XXXX The financial officer from the company ( scammer ) paid {$2000.00} and than it took the check 10 business days to clear but it was a blank check. This is why orders and payments should not be done online because no one can check if the money is there or not. This has got to stop more and more people suffer from getting there identity stolen over the web. I will never shop online or look for a job online again because this is the 4th time this has happened to me. I suffered a XXXX XXXX in XXXX and was trying to look for an easy way out by working from home. This got out of control quick and will not fall for this scam again. All of this information was given to the scammer. He has called to make sure the first payment went through. I also has called to activate my Venture One card for work ( scam ) and they said they could not issue me the card due to fradulent activity. It took them 3 business days to get back to me and when they did nothing was done to protect me. All they said was that it looks like fradulent activity is happening in your account over the phone. I told my boss what was happening on XXXX XXXX and he said not to worry that he will take care of it and for me not to call the bank again. Everytime I had this problem this is what he would say and I fell for it. I took this job very seriously. I took orders from him like I should from a Boss 's perspective. I feel like such an idiot. That I couldn't read the signs that I came across along the way. I wish I would have gone to the police the minute I thought something was not right. At the time I thought this was for work, my boss had told me the credit card would help raise my credit score. I fell for it and kept making purchases with the credit card like I was told to do from my boss. Had I known this was a scam I would have stopped doing this immediately. I was told I would get a brand new XXXX XXXX company car and Paycheck but this was never given. I got on the phone with The XXXX XXXX XXXX business in California and they said someone keeps trying pretend like they work for the company but it is a scam. And than she said she would let there security know and get back to me. They never did. I do not think we will ever catch the person who did this. I reported my identity theft to the Police and FBI right away when I found out that this was all a scam. I have yet to hear back from anyone. I attached the files associated with the credit card. My job interview and able to contact employer ( scammer ) was done via XXXX XXXX. I am sorry that this ever happened. Thank you.

Complaint: I had a Capital One Journey MasterCard. This was my very 1st card. After paying my bill around Mid XXXX -early XXXX, I deiced to go buy some things. The Next, Morning I get a notification that my account is DOUBLE my original balance. I Immediately call Customer Service. They tell me, That a payment of {$930.00} was returned ( My balance was only like {$300.00} ). I asked them whats going on. They precede to tell me that there are MORE THAN ONE type of Payment accounts on my card. Baffled, Annoyed, and Honestly Scared I told them that only ONE account is supposed to be on this card. They closed my Account and Stuck me with an over {$900.00} bill. Today, I tried to talk to them again. I was not aware of what I could do to fix my problem. They gave an Hour and half run around to tell me its not Fraud so I am stuck with this balance. I am very new to credit cards and have no idea what I am supposed to do.

Complaint: My husband and I are in the midst of applying for a mortgage w/ XXXX XXXX. We have no outstanding disputes w/ Capital One and three are showing up despite the accounts being paid in full, having zero balances, two being closed, and one being open. Capital One is telling me there are NO ACTIVE DISPUTES, so there is nothing to remove. When asked for a letter stating that, they told me ( XXXX - agent # XXXX ) that they can not furnish something saying that. It is not an option. These three disputes are causing huge problems in the underwriting process. We now run the risk of not getting the mortgage and ultimately being homeless because we have to move out of our apartment. XXXX XXXX is where the info is showing up - and I do not see these active disputes on my main three reporting agencies ( XXXX, XXXX and XXXX ). How can I get them removed/updated? I am desperate right now.

Complaint: Capital One has been made aware that their has been fraudulent activity using my Social Security Number and name. Someone added an authorized user on my account with a separate card sent to them at a different address. Requested that the accounts be closed. Two months later I receive a request for copies of my drivers license and social security card in order to open a new account. Someone had placed a hold on my mail around this time, contacted them and said that I had not applied for a card and to close any accounts. They said it would be taken care of, a couple days later I received a notice stating my new card was sent and I should have received it by now. Called again and the first person said there was an account open and connected me to their supervisor who stated that all accounts were closed. Called again today because I saw that a letter from them was supposed to have arrived today and had not. Apparently another account was opened in my name, what am I supposed to do? My credit reports are locked at two of the reporting agencies yet they keep opening accounts?

Complaint: I contacted XXXX about a relocation estimate. They were among several moving companies I contacted for cost and other details about my move from XXXX XXXX, MA to XXXX, OR. I did not solicit their services, but made the mistake of providing them my Capital One credit card details. I never contracted with XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. Instead I contracted with XXXX. They are now managing relocation of my household. I originally called Capital One to dispute I found on my mobile app when I found it. That was in middle XX/XX/XXXX. I thought the matter was taken care of ; the dispute had been remediated. Not so, since the bill again emerged onto my account on XX/XX/XXXX. I again called Capital One to inform them I was being billed for a moving service that was never rendered me. That seemed not to matter with the individual in their dispute center with whom I spoke today ( XX/XX/XXXX ). Long story, short, I am being charged for a {$1000.00} invoice for a service I never received, which I believe breaches the integrity of the customer/merchant relationship, in which Capital One is duplicitous!

Complaint: Someone fraudulently opened 4 capital one credit cards in my name that I just recently found out about and have been in contact with capital one to dispute it, to have the fraudulent credit accounts removed from my credit and they refuse to remove the fraudulent accounts and are holding me liable for the balances on them when I never opened the accounts to begin with. I am not liable for opening the accounts or the charges associated with them and need the 4 accounts all removed within the next 15 days. Capital one is claiming they completed their investigation and found no fraudulent activity when there was in fact fraud perpetrated in my name.

Complaint: capital one account numbers XXXX & XXXX both accounts charged off, NEVER sold to collection agencies if company took profit/loss -- A profit and loss write off on credit bureau report is really just a fancy way of saying that the credit card company decided that a given debt wasn't worth collecting and took a write-off for it. since they never sent to collections, I need to see the profit/loss on their tax lines for these two accounts. if they can not show tax reports as a loss, they MUST remove from all credit agencies
