Complaint: I have been a capital one card holder for 20 years! They closed my account with no know warning to me due to inactivity. I was Unaware this was possible. It has drastically affected my credit score due to longest standing credit line and available credit. This was my emergency card that I kept For all obvious reasons. I tried To call and spoke with two people in which they expressed their empathy. Empathy will not adjust the damage to my immediate credit score and available emergency funds! I have Another card with them and am now inclined to transfer my balance and leave completely as it was 3 days ago they closed it and I called As soon as I was Aware. There has to be a certain window of grace. Very disappointing!

Complaint: XXXX continues to report a closed account issued by XXXX/XXXX in which the last " late payment '' was received over 7 years ago. Not only was the account fraudulently open without my knowledge or authorization and therefore must be removed, the delinquency legally can not be included in my credit history on my credit report due to its age and must be removed. XXXX previously removed the following accounts from my credit report due to fraud, and has not re-listed the accounts and the negative reporting history, including XXXX/XXXX ( opened XX/XX/XXXX balance {$9100.00} ) ; CAPITAL ONE USA ( opened XX/XX/XXXX, balance {$490.00} ) ; CAPITAL ONE USA ( opened XX/XX/XXXX balance {$550.00} ) ; XXXX/XXXX XXXX ( opened XX/XX/XXXX balance {$1600.00} ) ; XXXX/XXXX ( opened XX/XX/XXXX ) ; and XXXX/XXXX ( opened XX/XX/XXXX balance {$4900.00} ) I have no access to the account information in order to dispute with the creditor because they were opened fraudulently without my knowledge or consent. Despite this finding, XXXX has since relisted the accounts as belonging to be with has negatively affected my credit and finances.

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I had to have emergency surgery to remove a XXXX. Part of my large XXXX, XXXX and my entire XXXX was removed. I used my Capital One card to pay for some of the surgery. At the time I was temping at XXXX and did not have health insurance nor short or long term disability. I did not have any savings either since I had just relocated. I was supposed to return to work in 8 weeks. I returned after only 3 because I did not have any money. I called Capital One numerous times in XXXX, XXXX and XXXX of XXXX asking if I could pay {$25.00} to {$50.00} a month. That's all I could afford. They told me the amount was too little and they would proceed with the credit agency. They sued me. They are now garnishing my paycheck and it is an undue financial hardship. My check should be, after taxes, {$1100.00}. It was {$680.00} after the garnishment. I get paid twice a month so my paycheck total monthly will be {$1300.00}. My rent is {$870.00}. My car payment is {$420.00}. My car insurance is {$95.00}. My electricity bill is usually {$45.00}. That is a total of {$1400.00} for my bills for the month. This amount does not include food or gas for my vehicle. I am also the primary caretaker of my XXXX year old father who I sometimes help out financially. I have tried numerous times to negotiate with Capital One as well as the crediting agency but they referred me to the courts.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2019, I purchased a concert ticket for {$60.00} from a XXXX user. He sent me a request on XXXX for the agreed upon price and I accepted the request. He told me he was sending the tickets and then blocked my phone number. I called my bank ( Capital One ) and immediately reported this transaction as fraud. They ultimately denied this claim, stating that I sent the money on my own. I do not believe that I owe money to a person who did not provide the good that I paid for and am requesting a refund.

Unexpected increase in interest rate
Complaint: after recently seeing interest I paid on 2 credit cards which is not the original rate [ Capital one there in my wallet ], I paid them off. after paying off total balance I was billed another payment and was restricted from any charges for use on both cards after being told that I had to do a verification and could not be accepted on 3 attempts. I am under the impression just the way they handle me as a customer that they dont want my business since there is no option for verification in person I froze the account online. They also told me that since it is now restricted that my choice to freeze cards can not be done since restricted. What they have told me is definitely scripted and seems to be an attempt to close my account. They also wiped out the XXXX XXXX XXXX rewards I collected. My efforts to straighten up this mess has resulted in high then normal XXXX XXXX and the embarrassment of the cards not working after they told me it was working again. cards ending in XXXX XXXX

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I had received an alert that 60 points had been dropped on my credit report. I go on a third party app and seen that XXXX and XXXX had information on how this had happened. Capital One had made a person mark or statement on my reports with out notifying me so I took action. I contacted them and with out cooling my temper I exploded about this mark and statement ending the call without their notice. Monday XX/XX/XXXX I thought I was only having log in issues with my Capital account making contact with them to resolve this issue, 3 call in to them I was then advised that my accout was charged off and not reversable. I strongly requested why? Capital One was very unprofessional and refused to diclose information to this event. Capital at minimal blames the events on the 3 major cradit monitoring agencies none to specific. I made contact with XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX who all 3 said that they no notes of the alleged accusation. I did however take care of some inquiries with the credit agencies that had been neglected in the past several of them. this is where it gets interesting. XXXX first while conversing with XXXX about the Capital One incident I addressed these inquiries unrelated to my Capital One. The agent had focused on my primary conversationof the Capital One incident placing one of their inquiries in the transaction. this domino effect had them then reach back out to XXXX about the inquiry that was not mentioned as part of the request. I learned this more recently. I made contact with a member of management XXXX who was helpful to then make as much sense to these events specifying that the reason my account was charged off so I listened taking notes. XXXX says that it was because of a fraud alert that had been place regarding myself opening the account up as a fraud, she stated that an investigation had taken place and I have never been notified in my email account which is active and receives their email often. Calmly letter her advise me to her best knowledge I took notes. She plainly again blames the credit agencies and its starting to look as if she is telling me the truth. Here XX/XX/XXXX I make light of this to the best of my proof and knowledge. I called on the XXXX of XXXX I was rude and angry I felt I had the right to be, I got a rep out side of the US that maybe had a bad day, the Rep done what he felt he could do with out consiquence. The chain of events semi support Capital Ones allegations however the fraud alert they claim is the root of the matter it came after the account had been charged off and canceled in only hours or minutes oddly and capital has tried to use this error in their favor. Keep in mind on the 1st Capital One was in good standing with all # cradit agencies supporting my side of this event. Capital One did not officially charge my account off to the credit agencies until XXXX XXXX. If the alleged termination happened as Capital stated XXXX and the others would have had the notation and the account would have been closed on that date supporting that they had told Capital One anything about the fraud that only ever took place because of me making contact over this whole event It sounds more complicating that it really is. I have request file disclosure from XXXX, XXXX, XXXX also removing the fraud alert due to the mistake that XXXX specifically made. Capital One and XXXX have made a Nightmare out my life.foreign call support centers for both companies handling situations with out fear of punishment. GDPR Rights can not take place fast enough collecting data our personal data Our lively hoods Socials and much more and clearly doing as they feel fit. Consumers can not prove and only trust that the calls are being handled correctly. Is this just a misunderstanding because of our languages, fowl play, or accident fumble fingers? I know its a violation of my Constitutional Trust Rights..

Complaint: Capital One sent me a letter informing me they had closed my account as of XX/XX/2019 due to inactivity. They gave me no forewarning, they did not contact me before hand, and as a result they hurt my credit score at a time I am making future plans for marriage, new vehicles, and home ownership. Electing not to swipe my card at the store should not validate the arbitrary closing of an account when I have held that account open for over 15 years as part of a comprehensive plan to maintain a stellar credit score. I attempted to call customer service twice, and asked to be escalated to a supervisor twice in order to have the closed account reversed. Both times they hung up on me before I was able to make my case and request that my account stay open.

Complaint: There is a fraudulent charge on my Capital One XXXX credit card from XXXX posted on XX/XX/19 in the amount of {$85.00}. Originally, showed purchase date of XX/XX/19. Called XXXX on XX/XX/19 to report the charge as fraudulent. However, CSR XXXX informed me that she did not believe it was fraud after asking a couple of questions, but not performing a formal investigation. Also, was informed that the card was present at the time of charge. How is that possible with an online charge? Would like a receipt of what was purchased and what address it was shipped to since I logged into my XXXX account and there is no history of this purchase. Also, closed the card number ending in XXXX. Duration 20 minutes. Also, on XX/XX/19 there was a charge of {$100.00} from XXXX. Would like to formally report this as fraudulent, too. However, since XXXX issued a credit in the same amount on the same day effectively zeroing this charge, it makes this fraudulent charge moot, but would like it to be documented as fraud. Called XXXX on XX/XX/19 to check the status of the fraudulent charge of {$85.00} The CSR ( name? ) informed me that the charge was not showing since I reported it the day before and nothing else needed to be done. Duration 12 minutes. However, I logged into my account on XX/XX/19 and the {$85.00} charge has been moved from Pending status to posted on XX/XX/19. Therefore, since after two repeated attempts to report this fraudulent charge via telephone has not removed it from my account, I would like to invoke my rights under the Fair Credit Billing Act to formally notify you of the fraudulent charge of {$85.00} and request that it be removed from my account. Also, mailed a letter describing all of these actions via USPS certified and return receipt on XX/XX/2019. It was delivered to Cap One and signed for on XX/XX/19. The Number is XXXX. Logged into my Cap One account this morning and the {$85.00} still remains, and I have not received any correspondence from Cap One acknowledging receipt of my letter.

Complaint: I received email communication from Capital One on XX/XX/2019 that my personal credit card account was closed due to inactivity on XX/XX/2019. I called Capital One on XX/XX/2019 and I spoke with a senior account representative who told me the account was first marked for closure on XX/XX/2019, and because over 30 days had passed since that time I am now ineligible to ask that the account be reinstated. My issue is that I did not receive any information from Capital One that the account was going to be closed within this 30 day time frame, and only heard from Capital One on XX/XX/2019 after the account was officially closed, therefore giving me no opportunity to request that the account remain open. As a result, this, my oldest credit account is now closed, my available credit is decreased, and as a result my credit score is negatively affected.
