Complaint: I filed a dispute for a purchase not received with Capital One for {$58000.00}, Capital One has not provided me with a permanent credit. I tried to resolve the problem with the supplier who promised me a credit, which has not yet been issued. The vendor also has not responded to the dispute with Capital One.

Complaint: I have already made a complaint through CFPB regarding this issue ( see below ). I am not happy with their response because they stated that my phone number had been updated in XXXX ; this not true and, in reality, I received three emails on XX/XX/XXXX from Capital One stating that my phone number had been updated ( see one of the three emails attached ). The Capital One representative also stated that I had attempted to access my online account from overseas and that their 'website security features aren't designed to accommodate international sign-in attempts ' ; in reality, I was in XXXX , Ohio and able to access my account once phone number and login credentials were established. At the same time, in their letter the same representative stated that I was able to login several times successfully on XX/XX/XXXX ( which wouldn't be possible if I was overseas ) ; that is, stating one thing and its contrary ( see attached ).
Here 's my original complaint through CFPB : On Wednesday XXXX XXXX, I wasn't able to access my Capital One online accounts ; this unique Capital One log-in should have opened all my on-line accounts including checking, savings, IRA and credit accounts with Capital One. Even though I used the correct user name and password to log in, I wasn't allow access to my accounts. The only option offered to me through their portal to verify my identity by an alternative method was set to be through an old phone number XXXX ; this was my phone number before XXXX.
I had no choice but to make a phone call to Capital One the next day Thursday XXXX. I was put through a series of redundant verification steps over and over through several customer service representatives in different offices. This process was complicated by the fact that allegedly I hadn't updated the phone number linked to my Capital One accounts supposedly since XXXX. As a matter of fact, I did update my phone number with Capital One in XXXX and my current phone number has remained the same since that time. I have found in my e-mail account the e-mail notifications I received in XXXX confirming I had updated the phone number linked to my Capital One account.
Please find attached as PDF the e-mail notifications regarding the successful update of my phone number in XXXX ; I am also sending an e-mail from XXXX ( XXXX ) which shows the actual phone number.
I am asking for compensation for the unnecessary time spent over the phone and writing redundant e-mails to Capital One regarding these matters.

Complaint: CapitalOne360 experienced a security breach through their card vendor and cancelled my card. I did not receive notification of this until at a XXXX. I called, it will take several business days to receive a new card, meanwhile I am literally going to go without food for several days because they couldn't be bothered to alert my when they were cancelling my card and start the process of sending a new one.
No accountability or care for their customers.

Complaint: Capital One Bank - Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ID # XXXX Re : Accounts : Ending-XXXX | Ending-XXXX Complaint : I believe Capital One Bank has violated my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I also believe that I have overpaid any balances due because I secured each account with an initial secured payment that shouldve been used to offset my first late payment.
History : Both accounts are secured accounts that I opened with an upfront payment known as a security deposit. Each account was closed by Capital One Bank at 60 days, and 90 days past due on XX/XX/XXXX. My last payment on each account was in XX/XX/XXXX. Prior to the time of account closing, I was having difficulties due to my military service-connected XXXX and was late on payments. I discussed this XXXX issue with the Capital One customer service department each month from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. During this time period Capital One did not disclose any options regarding the use of my security deposit to make my payments.
I contacted Capital One in XX/XX/XXXX with the goal of resuming payments, and a hope that my payments would be reported to the credit bureau. I was informed by a representative of Capital One Bank that once the account is closed I can not make payments for credit improvement, nor can there be any additional monthly delinquencies reported on a closed account.
After closing the accounts on XX/XX/XXXX showing the lates at 60-90 days, Capital One then reported the accounts 120 days late in XX/XX/XXXX, and 150 days late in XX/XX/XXXX into XX/XX/XXXX. In addition, Capital One reported these accounts on a monthly basis after the date closed showing updated increased balance changes.
In XX/XX/XXXX, I paid both of these accounts in full ( proof of payments attached ). According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, I am rated as XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX effective XX/XX/XXXX ( rating document attached ).

Complaint: During 2018 I had two unexpected life events. The first one was the sickness and later dead of my father, unfortunately he was diagnosticated with XXXX XXXX, his sickness impacted the household income, I didnt expected the situation where my full income went straight to my family basics needs when I applied for this credit card.
To make the everything worse I was impacted by the destructive wildfires across all California in 2018, I was impacted because the wildfires prevent the company to continue working so work was stopped by week and at some point inconsistent, as result of the wildfires my income was reduced for less than the half but was a disaster out of my control.
With my father in the hospital I was paying all the basic life bills and expenses as food, electricity, rent, etc. with a reduced income. With the time my father passed away, but then I had to get enough money to pay a funeral.
From someway or other I made some payments, but not in the right time due to those catastrophic events ( My father sickness and later dead and the 2018 wildfires season in California ) out of my control, Life happens. As results of all these my credit history was destroyed, I called Capital One to ask for a relief or forgiveness with the late payments on my credit report history, but they were unable work on it, even when the 2018 Wildfires in California were National Emergency. I am not asking for a forgiveness in money because I already paid in full the balance owned to Capital One, I am just asking to delete or remove the late payments in my credit report history, the creditor should provide a relief due to Catastrophic and National Emergencies like this.

Problem with personal statement of dispute
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX a XXXX representative called me to alert me that my payment was late. I was surprised since I thought my account was on auto pay and since I was on paperless statements I had no indication that my payment was late. With learning of my oversight, I immediately paid my accounts full statement balance. I regularly pay my full statement balance. I keep close track of my FICO score and several weeks later my score took a huge plunge by over 50 points. Upon checking my credit reports, I learned that XXXX filed a 30 day late with the three credit bureaus. On XX/XX/XXXX I wrote XXXX customer service department and asked for a GOODWILL REMOVAL OF LATE PAYMENT since the reporting had a devastating effect on my credit score. Upon researching this topic I learned that a company does have the ability to remove a 30 day late reporting, it is called a GOODWILL REMOVAL OF LATE PAYMENT if they choose to do so. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX customer service and operations center replied stating that their reporting was accurate and they would not be taking any other action. On XX/XX/XXXX I wrote to president of XXXX explaining my oversight and asked for a GOODWILL REMOVAL OF LATE PAYMENT as I had been a MVC ( Most Valued Customer ) since XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a reply from XXXX stating that their reporting was accurate meaning they will not remove the 30 day late reporting to the credit bureaus.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX of 2019 - The automatic payment of the Kohl 's card was updated. The new checking account was updated effective immediately ( email confirmation received ). On XX/XX/XXXX, the wrong checking account was used and therefore the payment was returned. Kohl's/Cap One didn't notify me of any issues. On XX/XX/XXXX, the Kohl's/Cap One automated payment once again tries to withdraw the payment from the wrong account. The payment was returned and the account was notated with an past due of 30 days. When I'm notified of the issue on XX/XX/XXXX, immediately contacted Kohl 's to notify them of the error while also making an immediate payment to the account to bring it to current. My checking account is also on my online account, therefore confirming my suspicion that it was an system error. The CSR that attended my call, documented all the information and told me to wait 30 days for my report to be updated. I told her I have emails confirming all the information ( including the email that states bank account change on auto-pay back in XXXX ). 45 days later, Cap/One send me a letter stating that they will not remove the 30 day late. This has caused extreme financial issues on my side as I was denied an car loan an month after because of the late report.

XXXX XXXX, I am reaching out regarding your companies numerous non-compliant attempts and calls made to my cellular telephone via a automated/predictive dialer. I have requested multiple times that my cell phone XXXX not be called through any non-TCPA COMPLIANT, automated and/or predictive dialer system. This is not a cease and desist request. Your reps may call me all they want as long as it is a manual type dialing attempt and meets any regulating bodies guidelines. During my communications with your company Ive been harassed ( defined by consumer ), been mislead ( UDAAP ), treated poorly by upper management and shown why 3rd party collection agencies that do the right thing are at a disadvantage due to companies which you head the compliance team. What really amazes me is how your company continues to treat me poorly even knowing my experience in 3rd party collections. Im willing to speak about my situation but not how your company chooses to brand their image. I am looking into legal avenues to make sure youre fined and multiple CFPB COMPLAINTS and all methods to help your company understand the value of being compliant. I hope your company has saved all calls for you to review.

Complaint: I received a notice on my credit report stating that I have a 30 day late with Helzberg Diamonds. I have not received statements and Ive provided email and phone number as alternative forms of communication.
I got the opportunity to speak with a representative as well as a supervisor ( calling from XXXX ) and the supervisor mentioned that they call out to clients about missed payments/payments that are close to being considered late. They mentioned that they do not reach out to all clients however. I asked her what criteria would I have to meet to be notified of these events and she mentioned there is none and we are put into a queue in which not everyone is contacted.
This is clearly not a fair practice and the communication is lacking. I small bill of XXXX dollars which would easily be paid by way of communication dropped my score 95 points.
