Complaint: I have had a XXXX XXXX for years that included as the primary benefit, annual companion tickets as a reward. There is a substantial annual fee. Upon renewal this year, I did not receive my companion tickets. When I called, I was told that the companion tickets had been discontinued. I was not made aware till after the fee. I receive all communcation electronically and did not receive in sufficent clarity to know that the primary benefit of the card 's annual fee had been discontinued. I was also told that there was another card with a higher fee that still has the benefit. And then I was told they do not offer it period. As a matter of course, the product should have been cancelled and made clear that it is now substantially different. There is no benefit to the annual fee. I asked that my annual fee be refunded. I was denied. Due to the poor communciation concerning the elimination of the reward program associated with the fee, I want my tickets or a refund.

Complaint: XXXX XXXX offered me a {$20.00} discount on my {$330.00} in store purchase if I applied for their credit card. I applied and the discount was not taken on my purchase. I asked that the application be stopped but the salesperson said it was too late. She said I would receive a check for {$20.00} in the mail in the next weeks. A month later and still no check. I called barclays who said I would n't be receiving any points until I made more significant purchases! I asked them to take the card off my credit report and they refused. Please help.

Complaint: I have received over the past 3 years several pre-approval notices from Barclaycard stating that I was already approved to go ahead and apply, when I do then I get a denial notice. This puts a HARD hit on a persons credit with all XXXX of the major credit reporting agencies. I again not even 3 weeks of being denied again from Barclaycard received another pre-approval notice asking me to apply. I called the number and the rep insisted that my denial must have been a mistake and to reapply. Sorry but I 'm not as dumb as most of the Americans that these banks believe we truly are. I want them to be fined!! These are deceitful practices which should be stopped immediately!

Complaint: I paid off my daughter 's car loan. The company insisted in splitting the payoff into multiple transactions. The loan was paid off as a cash advance from my credit card company instead of as a credit card transaction as i had been led to believe. Complaint: I had a credit card with barclays bank I had run into some trouble and had to accept a settlement offer and our agreement was when I paid this settlement they would remove this account from my credit I have contacted them by phone and by mail. I keep getting the run around and no response to my letter. I called again on XXXX/XXXX/2015 and talked with someone named raven after several minutes on the phone explaining again the situation they put me on hold for quite some time and when they returned I was told by raven to resolve this I had to dispute the information with transunion that 's who they report to and send a letter to the fcra and the address they gave me for the fcra was XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, DE XXXX which is the address for barclays bank. they are trying to run some sort of scam so this is my first step to get that account removed when they fail to do so I am going to report them to the ftc

Complaint: I authorized a credit card purchase of {$500.00} through XXXX using my BarClayCard on XXXX XXXX, 2015. I now see that they charged me interest and a cash advance fee for the purchase. This was not a cash advance fee. I believe that because I am using their special promotion of 0 % interest for 2 years, they are trying to get some kind of money out of me. I did not authorize a cash advance on my card and nor would I. They told me I needed to speak to XXXX, which I did on a XXXX call with Barclaycard. XXXX clearly stated that they charged my card as a credit, not cash advance. I believe they should refund my almost {$50.00} worth of fees for this transaction as they can not produce a disclosure stating I would be charged a cash advance fee for this transaction.

Complaint: I was haggled into a " sampler package '' of a time share with the tactic of being 0 % APR for the first six months on this credit card. This was after almost two hours of high pressure tactics. It was not only afterward that I regretted it but very much so a month later learning this purchase was at 18.99 % the bank informed me. They gave me a run around to get it fixed and it still is n't fixed. The first gentleman I talked to I vented my extreme frustrations on with learning about how I was scammed a second time. He told me to call XXXX XXXX and if they did n't work with me, he 'll submit the dispute. The second time I called with my Financial Advisor I learned they are partners with XXXX XXXX and sent my information to their customer care of whom can only be contacted by fax. I am completely unsatisfied with XXXX XXXX. I do not want this credit card. I do not want this purchase that was made on this credit card. My next step is to put a complaint against XXXX XXXX XXXX. The money lost below is not including the interest. I have not paid yet but so I do n't mess my credit up I will have to. I am going to fight my best to get out of this scam.

Complaint: Hello, Today I received an email from Barclaycard XXXX The message reads as follows ... .. Dear XXXX, We 're confirming your recent request to change the telephone number on your account ending in XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/2015. Next time you need to make updates to your account, visit us online at www.BarclaycardUS.com and click Your Profile. If you have n't registered your account with us, just follow the online registration process to start seeing your account information wherever and whenever you choose. If you do not recognize this request, please contact us immediately at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. -end message. Realizing I never put in such a request, I did of course call the phone number listed. The automated system confirmed my identity and after doing so began to remind me that my payment was over-due ( I asked to have the card closed and sent to collections, barclay card is continuing to keep it open and charging me interest ). I dialed zero until a person came on the line. This employee looked at the record and saw no change and confirmed that my current phone number was still the phone number on file. He also asked me if I have ever had a different phone-number, irrelevant question, and my answer was no. I then asked to speak to a supervisor who had nothing constructive to add. I believe this email amounts to nothing more than self administered corporate phishing. It is a disgusting, outrageous practice which utilizes the fear of losing your personal information to compel the consumer to call in to the phone number provided only to be reminded of the debt that needs servicing.

Please note your statements for the Barclay Account opened on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX you provided the consumer in your first response to CFPB complaint ref # XXXX by this consumer shows your continually accessed a bank account that had been closed by the consumer for over ten years and revealed the linked to the first Barclay account the consumer opened prior to a Bankruptcy. Also the consumer never requested or gave permission to Barclay to upload the statements for this account to the CFPB website on the complaint # XXXX dated XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. This prior complaint was a request for the address to Barclay 's fraud department to submit a FTC Fraud Affidavit and the written instructions.

I was declined for the XXXX so I apped for XXXX more Barclay cards both were approved for XXXX a piece. After using arrival plus for couple weeks I received a call stating a needed to go into bank and do a cash advance in order to verify my identity which was done on XXXX since then I have had maybe XXXX security verifications done asking public record information which I have always been able to provide without issue I added Au to my account and there was a security freeze placed. I asked to speak to supervisor and the csr have refused to put a sup on line and now have frozen my account until I MAIL in my ID front and back is this not XX/XX/XXXX XXXX near XXXX why is it that they will not accept email or fax yet they can accept over XXXX in payments? I am beyond frustrated with the back and forth with them! They made me do cash advance to verify my identity and I was charged {$50.00} I want a refund and investigation of why I have been mislead and mistreated
