Complaint: I pay bills online exactly the day they are due. Barclay has decided to not accept online payments for my due date after XXXX eastern time which is XXXX for me. This has never been convenient and payments online after XXXX is my standard procedure. This problem is currently occurring and has been an negative issue for several months. I have made this problem known to the company several times and they have responded by refunding the late fees, only to make me pay the amount due and removing the fees from the balance. This method is also inconvenient because I am still having to go over budget to pay the " waived fees ''. I have complained to them about this several times and now they refuse to remove the fees. This problem is well documented within my account and their acceptance of it being a problem is well documented with the refunds.

Complaint: Barclay 's closed my wife and my credit card accounts after having a positive history of using the card, nearly never carrying a balance month to month, and having cards open for multiple years.
At no time did we ever receive any negative feedback or notifications that Barclay had any issue with my 'history of account usage '.
In fact, despite the 'history of account usage ' that Barclay refers to in the closing, Barclay increased the credit limit on my card and my wife 's card in the past year, encouraging what they must later have decided is a poor 'history of account usage '. They also upgraded our cards to XXXX XXXX elite during the same period of 'history of account usage ' that was present during closure.
In fact, I started using my primary card, the Arrival, exactly in a fashion that was advertised. I started using this card originally for everyday spend as well as to buy XXXX XXXX Gift Cards through the Barclay RewardsBoost mall, which they advertised on their own website was a great way to earn extra rewards.
It seems clear to me that Barclay is closing our accounts because it is not profitable to provide us with rewards under the current program that they advertise, even though on their website, even today, it still shows " Earn XXXX miles for every {$1.00} you spend on all your purchases '' and Redeem for travel statement credits starting at XXXX miles for {$25.00} toward a qualifying travel purchase of {$25.00} or more made within the last 120 days ''.
With my last statement ( XXXX ) I had redeemed XXXX points ( {$140.00} ) but still had XXXX points adjusted at the closing of my account.
If returning my account to good standing is not practicable, a payment for the miles which would have been worth the sum unredeemed as well as the annual fee for the services I could not receive but had already paid for seems reasonable : XXXX XXXX XXXX = {$380.00}. The 10 % bonus would have added {$38.00} when used for travel redemptions, which I always have available since I travel for business. This totals {$420.00}.
My wife 's card had XXXX miles, which would have been worth {$19.00} XXXX XXXX = {$21.00}.
I also paid a {$95.00} annual fee on this card, and on my wife 's card, totaling {$190.00} in fees which I am now not able to fully utilize given the cards were canceled in the middle of the membership year.
This means my monetary damages from these XXXX closed cards are {$420.00} XXXX lost redemption, self ) + {$21.00} XXXX lost redemption, wife ) + {$190.00} ( annual fees ) = {$640.00}.
I appreciate your quick response to this issue.

Complaint: For several years I have been trying to pay off or at least get current with my Juniper Credit card ( owned by Barclay ). XXXX card has been closed, but they continue to charge me interest. I have XXXX other cards that have been more than helpful in that respect and I am slowly paying them off. When I ask for a similar deal they refuse. I have been through several short term hardship programs, that have been somewhat helpful, but have never brought my account current. After the last stint at short term hardship, I spoke to an account rep who was surprised that I was never offered a long term plan. I told her, it was never available to me, per their parameters. I asked her if my account was closed, she confirmed it was, I then asked why they are trying to charge me more that the Washington State limit of 12 %, she did not have an answer. I want to pay off my account, but they make it impossible with the interest they charge on top of late fees. I have written them a letter asking to be put on a plan with even monthly payments and no interest. Is there anything else I can do, besides filing for bankruptcy?

Complaint: I applied online for a Barclay Bank Visa card as part of a program through XXXX to finance a new computer. They have never sent me so much as an invoice, let alone the actual card. I 've not been able to make any payments online because you need the card number to set up online payments. The only thing I know is the last XXXX digits of the card, because that was in the first email they sent me. When the account is in arrears enough, I get an offer of a payment plan, and can sign in using the last XXXX digits of the account to make a payment. Once you make a payment, you can no longer sign in that way and have to wait to be in arrears again. I have been able to make XXXX payments, and my credit score is plummeting because of this. The only way to contact them is over the phone ( I have XXXX and ca n't use the phone ) or at a mailing address. I wrote them a letter XX/XX/XXXX asking for their help and received no response of any kind.

Complaint: We applied for a Wyndham Rewards Visa Card serviced by Barclays with a promotional offer that we will receive XXXX bonus points when we make the first purchase with the card ( Wyndham would provide these ) and XXXX extra bonus points when we spend {$1000.00} in the first 90 days ( Barclays would provide these ). We made {$1000.00} in purchases in the first 90 days and it has been several months but we still have n't received the XXXX bonus points.
After calling both Barclays and Wyndham several times ( they would both tell me the other was responsible for the points and they had nothing to do with it! ), finally Barclays agreed that they were responsible for the points. However now they have a new theory that since my account is not in good standing they wo n't give me my bonus points. I have a credit of {$38.00} on my account for several months now ( yes I overpayed and Barclays owes me money! ).
On probing further they revealed that there was a late payment on the account. In reality the late payment was due to a Barclays error and not mine. I had setup an auto-payment on the account almost a month before the next payment was due and upon completion of the setup the confirmation screen told me to cancel any scheduled payments to avoid a double payment which I did since I did not want a double payment. Fast forward a month Barclays did not process the auto payment on the due date. I noticed it within a couple of days and called Barclays customer service regarding the same. The representative accepted the error on their side and reversed the late payment fees and processed the payment for the account for that statement.
Because Barclays made that mistake on their end I had to go through the inconvenience of giving them a phone call in the first place. Later citing their mistake as a reason they do n't give me my bonus points ( without any communication! ) and are just using it as an excuse to avoid giving the XXXX bonus points which they are contractually obligated to.
Moreover on top of the fact that my account is in good standing and the error they have noted was an error on their side, the contract never mentions anything around the account being in good standing or not. It plainly says that after spending {$1000.00} we will get those points. Barclays is plainly trying to give excuses to avoid giving those bonus points.

Complaint: I obtained a credit card from US airways that became a Barclay card. There was an associated member fee that I did not pay due to the fact the card name was changed from us airways to Barclay and i did not realized the fact until late. the account was closed. I need you to help me find a fair solution to XXXX parties. I want to pay what the money for the annual fee but I do not want either to fall victim of extorsion. I believe the fee should be around one hundred dollars but now they want {$270.00} by early XXXX.
