Complaint: Barclaycard closed my account and took the earned points I had on my account with no explanation as to why. The accumulated points totaled XXXX, with an approximate value of {$15000.00}. I received a letter stating that the account was closed " in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Card Member Agreement. '' The letter never states which term or agreement was violated. I have never been late on my monthly payments or missed any payments. I made several phone calls to discuss this with no success. Each time I was told to mail a letter. Attached is the letter I mailed to XXXX different addresses I was given by Barclaycard Customer Service.

Complaint: Credit card company only provides 20-day grace period for credit card payment due date ( calculated from statement closing date XXXX, instead of the 21-days required under federal law ( from statement mailing date ). Also, statements are mailed out late, since they take over 7 days from the statement closing date for me to receive, and USPS first class mail only takes 2-3 days. The 21-day federal minimum is supposed to apply from the date the statement is actually MAILED, which is why most credit card companies have a 25+ day grace period. Even if they mailed out my statement ending XXXX XXXX 2015, on that SAME DAY, I still have 21 days to pay by federal law ( not 20 days ). My XXXX XXXX payment was made on the 21st day after the statement CLOSING date, but was still considered 1 day late, and interest charges for the entire previous month were assessed! Their due date practice of 20-days after statement closing date is illegal and deceptive.
