Complaint: I have been with Bank Of America for over 12 years. I have never had an issue with fraud till now. On XX/XX/XXXX, i had {$1400.00} taken out of the ATM. During the time of the incident i was at work 25 miles away from where the money was taken out. I have shown proof that i was no where near the area where the money was taken out. I have proved my work work schedule, email screen shots, my phone location throughout the day, and also written statements from co workers showing i was work the entire time. My original claim was denied within a week, and on the XX/XX/XXXX i reopened the claim and waited until XXXX.19 to hear back, that is almost THREE months, and they denied my claim again. They never reached out to me ONCE, and every time i called in, there was no update, only just that the bank was doing more research.I trusted BOA to protect me when something happens, but it feels like im the one fighting my bank to get my own money back. I have provided numerous documents and BOA has proved me nothing but a wave off. they have VIDEO of this happening, they KNOW what i look like, so its very CLEAR that it was not me who pulled out the money! I have also thrown had my old debit card thrown away and have requested BOA text alert me before any major withdrawals are made in the future. If this claim does not get resolved, i will lose all faith in BOA and will for SURE change banks and take my business elsewhere

Complaint: I had my bank account opened for 7 years with no fees ( just required one monthly transfer from checking to savings ). However 3 months ago with no notice I started getting billed {$12.00} a month for a " Monthly Maintenance Fee ''. I called up bank of america and they said the new requirements to avoid the monthly fee was to maintain a {$1500.00} balance in the account which I quickly made sure to do, however bank of america is refusing the refund the {$36.00} in fees.

Complaint: Law firm charged debit card for hourly services that were completed out of malpractice. The hours billed were hours spend incorrectly filing paperwork and for many mistakes that were made by the fault of the law firm and ineffective counsel. Bank or America has started a dispute and investigation, but the time frame has gone past the 45 day window and now the bank is telling me that I will never receive the funds if the merchant does not respond. The merchant has no intention of responding and has no proof that the charge was made with my permission. I have plenty of documentation to show the missteps made by the firm and evidence to back malpractice claims. The bank will not offer a temp credit and now says that I will not receive the funds even though the merchant has not responded and the 45 day window has closed.

Complaint: I have two taken advantage of two promotions on my Bank Americard. The first promotion that I applied for several months ago ends in XX/XX/XXXX, at which point the interest rate will skyrocket. The second promotion, which I applied for just a couple of months ago, ends in XX/XX/XXXX. I have been making automatic payments of {$1000.00} a month which should have the first promotion paid off before the XX/XX/XXXX deadline, but BoA is using nearly all of my monthly payments to pay off the promotion that ends in XX/XX/XXXX first? This is unethical on so many levels I don't even know where to begin. Why can't my monthly payment pay off the first promotion first? I mean seriously, on what planet is this not an obvious attempt by BoA to force me to pay a higher interest rate by forcing me to pay off the second promotion first? This is not only unethical, but it's illogical, irresponsible, and downright dirty. I applaud things like your Neighborhood Builders program and your Veterans lending programs, but policies like this one that I've fallen victim to cast a dark shadow over your entire corporation in my humble opinion. I'm confident that you'll do the right thing and end this unscrupulous policy, for your sake, not mine. Do this for yourself, because poisonous policies that are designed to hurt your customers are only going to hurt BoA in the long term. Thanks for listening and have a great day.

Complaint: 1. On Monday, XX/XX/2019, I received a check from XXXX XXXX XXXX in the amount of XXXX dollars, representing a refund check for student financial aid due unto me. The check was drawn on XXXX XXXX. 2. I deposited the check to my personal checking account at Bank of America, using the mobile app. 3. The app stated that there would be a standard hold, and that the funds would be available the following morning. 4. Looking later online, there was contradictory information stating that the hold would be until Wednesday, XXXX XXXX, at XXXX XXXX. - yesterday. 5. The funds were made available at around XXXX XXXX. 6. I paid several bills at that time, and scheduled several additional bill payments to post to the account. 7. At around XXXX XXXX. yesterday, I became aware that the funds had been debited off of my account, leaving my account with a negative balance of apx. seven hundred dollars. 8. I called BOA. The agent, and a supervisor ( XXXX - ID # XXXX ), stated the funds were being returned, but that the reason why would not be available until the following morning, and that I could call at XXXX XXXX 9. I called at XXXX XXXX. but the line for agents was not open. 10. At XXXX XXXX., I spoke with XXXX ( ID XXXX ) and a supervisor ( XXXX ) who stated that a " stop payment '' had been placed on the check by XXXX XXXX on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX. 11. I then called a XXXX XXXX branch, XXXX XXXX, Vermont, branch, and spoke with XXXX. XXXX stated that there was no stop payment for that check or for that amount. 12. It is troubling that BOA says there was a stop payment, but XXXX XXXX says there wasn't a stop payment. 13. I left an urgent voicemail for XXXX XXXX at Bank of America corporate office, but have not received a reply as of this time. 14. XXXX XXXX XXXX sent me replacement funds via wire transfer at around XXXX XXXX today. 15. XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX branch manager, called me later in the afternoon. She said she could not provide any information about the check, including whether it had even been rejected by XXXX XXXX or whether there was a stop payment. 16. Consumers who receive bad checks, or allegedly bad checks, should have some rights to find out what is really going on. I should not be told contradictory things by two different banks and then the second bank refuses to talk about it. I should have some rights to information, and there should be a process to provide consumers with that information.

Complaint: I received a call on XXXX from a Bank of America associate, he did not indicate he was calling on a recorded line or provide an ID # or someway to verify he was in fact from the bank. He immediately threatened that failure to answer his questions will lead to immediate closure of my accounts. I assumed it was a scam as he did not properly identify himself and he called from a personal cell phone. My accounts have now been closed by the bank. I used to work for the bank and I know for a fact that you must always disclose some appropriate identification when you call a customer because failure to do so is deemed a risk to the bank and customer. How is Bank of America able to get away with treating customers this way? Its just unfair. I understand the bank can close an account at anytime, i get that. But my problem with all the scams going on, there was no way to identify he was calling from the bank. I have received calls from the back before and they always identify themselves properly for security reasons. This person did not.

Complaint: Bank of America has determined to retire the credits of {$540.00} and {$140.00} they gave me for a claim I did due to some fraudulent transactions I saw on my account, based on a none trustable prove that is completely absurd, saying that decision was made because ( Ive been before on one of the places where the fraud was committed ), and of course Ive been there and who hasnt because they are very famous places to visit here on my city, XXXX everybody has visit those place before wish os a completely absurd excuses. I want everybody to know whats happening here that Bank of America is a bank institution that doesnt protect their client against these type of events wish is a terrible problem now these days where millions of people are victim of identity theft .also Im letting you know that Ill do everything on my power to let everybody know about my case on every social network and my friend circle who most of them have Bank of America account, and trust me they wont be happy at all with what you guy did to me
