You told them to stop contacting you, but they keep trying
Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 I sent Bank of America the attached letter revoking consent to be contacted by telephone, recorded, or called using pre-recorded automated dialing systems ... which they completely ignored. I have received at least 5 telephone calls from Bank of America starting around XX/XX/2019 multiple times per day, using automated pre-recorded messages, and recording me. Furthermore, I have told them I am represented by an attorney and they ignore this completely. I want this harassment to stop and I want Bank of America to contact my attorney XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX.

Account opened as a result of fraud
Complaint: I have had several accounts opened by fraudsters and it is now severely impacting my credit and attempts to rectify it have proved moot and unsuccessful.
Bank of America had allowed my account to be compromised then subsequently reported me me to XXXX XXXX for an amount just over $ XXXXUSD. I am now unable to open an account to sufficiently build up a deposit history in order to buy a home ( which will be nearly impossible now with my credit score having sunk to under 500 because they also allowed someone to open a credit card in my name that they maxed out in under two days and I am now suffering from it ). Disputing information with this bank has proved pointless and they are proving to be vultures.
This problems with my finances are making living everyday life hard and I am at the point where my mental health is suffering because of it. I need help!

Company closed your account
Complaint: Bank of America voluntarily closed my credit card ( my longest standing History credit account to date - 13yrs ) just after one mailed correspondence ( in XXXX ) to an address that I was no longer at. I move around the country and have changed my address numerous times but have never changed my email nor phone number, however, they decided not to contact me at either of those channels regarding such a serious topic. BofA gladly emails me all the time offering and soliciting products for sales, yet they do not inform me that they are about to ruin my credit score closing my longest history credit account ( as well, skew my credit utilization due to the reduction of my total credit limit ). After spending 2+ hours on the phone with multiple managers, one of whom deliberately and intentionally hung up on me and transferred me back to the main queue, they said that the 'policy ' went into effect last week that they can no longer re-open a closed account and there can not do anything. BofA effectively has given these managers zero authority to provide actual customer relationship banking services. This is a huge issue for me being a business and financial manager who advises clients on issues such as personal credit. Had I been informed that my account was going to be closed, I would have made a purchase on the account to keep it open. I do not believe that ONE mailed notification is sufficient correspondence regarding such a serious issue. What's more, the only reason I found this out was from a notification from my XXXX XXXX account asking if I closed this account, and when I opened the app it shows a remark saying that BofA noted that the Account [ was ] Closed by consumer. It most definitely NOT closed by me. All I am asking to have the account re-opened which I know they can do as an override as I have been with the bank since 1998. Can we please re-open this account and call it a day, otherwise, I will have lost faith in this banking system and the 'relationships ' that I have been sold. Please find it in your heart to re-open this account because we as US citizens are only judged by 3 numbers ( credit score ) and when I do not have the power to control this number because of a 'voluntary ' close on the institutions part, I am at the mercy and am powerless to control my future of purchasing a house or anything credit-related due to actions out of my control. Thank you

Complaint: This complaint is a continuation for the complaint # XXXX filed on XX/XX/2019 and the complaint # XXXX filed on XX/XX/2019.
BofA called me right after I submitted the last complaint, on XX/XX/2019 someone from BofA called asking questions about XXXX XXXX my housing counselor. They provided a number to contact them XXXX ext XXXX until today no one has answered my calls or the housing counselor 's calls. We sent the pending information for the so called " modification '' they wanted me to apply and no one has responded either. Every time I try to call to the loss mitigation number it redirected me to another department and I can't speak with a representative.
This is the third complaint I am filing regarding my problem with Bank of America. They extended the sale date to XX/XX/2019 just to keep ignoring me and not work on my application. I was told that I needed to apply for a modification in order to be eligible for a short sale and that's what I did. Until today BofA has not worked my file, doesn't return phone calls and doesn't want to deal with my housing counselor.
I don't know what else to do, I have contacted your company because I was told that you were an institution created to protect the consumer but I don't see that BofA is really concern about the way its handling my file, instead they rejected the previous complaint and continue ignoring me.

Account information incorrect
Complaint: My second mortgage with Bank of America was charged off XX/XX/XXXX. At that time we agreed to a settlement amount of {$25000.00} with a initial down payment of {$10000.00} with a monthly payment of {$310.00} to be withdrawn directly from our Bank of America account on the XXXX of every month. We have been making this payment since XXXX and have NEVER been late. I checked my XXXX account and it shows that there is a Bank of America charge off listed with an amount of {$75000.00} with a balance of {$47000.00}. It also shows on our credit report that we have been listed as FP failed to pay for XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and XXXX of XXXX and FP for XXXX, XXXX and XXXX of XXXX. We have bank statements and the original settlement agreement with Bank of America that prove we have NEVER failed to pay the agreed amount. The XX/XX/XXXX FP failed to pay report lowered our credit score 11 points, right at the time we are trying to refi our current mortgage. We would like the FP failed to pay be removed from all credit reports for all months starting in XXXX up to XX/XX/XXXX and for Bank of America to show the settlement amount and the balance.

Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Complaint: On or about XX/XX/XXXX the balance on my Bank of America credit care account was {$8800.00} and regular monthly statements were being received at my address.
In two separate transactions dated XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX the amounts of {$6200.00} and {$2000.00} were charged to the account as online banking advance to. The statement ultimately obtained from Bank of America provided no information as to whether such advances were by check or by wire, who obtained the advances, or any addresses or banks to which they were paid. Further, at no time did any person at Bank of America contact me to confirm the transactions.
Shortly thereafter, though not noticed until XX/XX/XXXX, monthly statements from the Bank of America account stopped coming to my address. The XX/XX/XXXX statement was addressed to XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NC XXXX and the XX/XX/XXXX and subsequent statements were addressed to XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, Nevada XXXX. The statements sent to XXXX continued through XX/XX/XXXX, when I discovered the fraud and contacted Bank of America by phone. I have never lived in XXXX or XXXX.
Bank of America personnel acknowledged the claim by letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, but refused to give met any information about the bank accounts to which the moneys were directed or copies of the change of address communications instigated by the defrauder. Then, by unsigned letters dated XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, Bank of America denied my claim, reinstating the fraudulent transactions and the bank charges that accompanied them.
A letter sent by my attorney to the Bank of America legal division on XX/XX/XXXX has still not been answered.
