Complaint: I was shocked when I reviewed my credit report and found late payment on XX/XX/2018 I am not sure how this happened, I believe that I had made my payments to you when I received my statements. My only thought is that my monthly statement did not get to me, or the payment was not applied as fast as expected. I checked my bank account and noticed that you deducted the money out of my checking account that on the month that you marked me late on my credit report.

Complaint: I have been a Bank of America customer for over 27 years. In XXXX of last year my husband passed away. In XXXX of last year an acquaintance of mine stole checks from my home as well as my debit card information. In the following 11 months this person used the checks and the debit card information totaling transactions of approximately {$20000.00}. During this time I was not alerted by the bank to any fraudulent activity although it was obvious the checks were not signed by me and the debit card spending was very unusual activity. I became aware of all this in XXXX of this year and to date the bank has not returned my money.

Complaint: My account went into default due to loss of my job. The account was charged off and then bought over by a law firm debt collector. We reached an agreement for a monthly payment and I have been making the payments with no default. There was no offer in compromise, so I am paying the full money originally owed. However, the status of my account is still stated as a 'charge off, closed ', and the monthly report is reading as 'failure to pay ( FP ) ', while I am steadily making the payments. I contacted the law firm and was told it's the original debt owner ( Bank of America ), that is reporting it that way. I contacted Bank of America to change the status but they have refused to comply. The original debt was {$2800.00}.

Problem with customer service
Complaint: I have a Bank of America credit card used to balance transfers. I have 1 balance transfer with 0 % if paid in 12 months. I have a 2nd balance transfer with 1.99 % interest if paid in 18 months. In the past I've complained to the CFPB that BOA won't allow me to apply my payments in a manner that minimizes my accrued interest and penalty fees across both balance transfers. My statement mailed on XX/XX/XXXX doesn't provide my remaining balance on both balance transfer. All I see is a total balance ( see attachment ). In the past, BOA 's statement included information on the remaining balance on each transfer. In XXXX, I called BOA asking them to resend my XXXX statement with information that details the balance remaining on each transfer. The resent statement mailed XX/XX/XXXX doesn't include the information I requested as well ( see attachment ). I believe BOA is purposely withholding that information from me so that they can maximize the interest payments I'm required to make. I also believe that BOA is altering my remaining balance, per transfer.
