Complaint: An account was opened fraudulently at Bank of America on XX/XX/16, using my name and personal information. Turns out they used this account to cash a fraudulent check a little over {$3500.00}. Due to this circumstance I have been barred from opening an account at all financial institutions, which has significantly impacted my life negatively, since it has happened.

Funds not received from closed account
Complaint: OnXX/XX/2019, I deposited my cashier check that was wrote out to me in my business name, in the amount of XXXX. The check cleared on XX/XX/19. I stop at an atm got XXXX off and drove to the closet boa branch to get XXXX out of my account. I didn't have my phone so they could verify my account, even though I produce my I'd and debit card, I was told that I couldn't withdraw funds without my having my phone present. So when I got home I noticed that my account was locked, so the next day I went back to boa to straighten this matter and I had to go through a rigorous process. After 2 hours in the office they said they would call me after their review. I nevered heard back from them until 4 to 6 days later via mail, saying they had closed my business account and we're investigating my deposit. I tried reaching the right department numerous of time but keep getting the run around and being placed on hold for 30 to 40 mins a time. It's been 2 months now and I still haven't received my funds in the amount of XXXX dollars

Fee problem
Complaint: I am asking for help because I received 9 overdraft fees but I did not receive the notification while withdrawing funds from my account.
I had no way of knowing that my account went over the limit. In addition, I had more than enough funds in my other checking accounts that I could have transferred to avoid such high fees.

Complaint: I am a XXXX XXXX for XXXX. On Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX, I accepted a XXXX from XXXX XXXX At XXXX XXXX XXXX at XXXX. I came to learn after the fact that this person created a fraudulent account through XXXX To have access to my personal information. He then called pretending to be XXXX, a manger with ID number XXXX. He said that my account was suspended and that I could not XXXX another XXXX until it was resolved. He even told me he had reached out to XXXX XXXX And told him that I would be delayed, and I received a message from XXXX XXXX Saying as much. XXXX asked me for personal information to verify my account, including my bank username. I said that I was not comfortable giving that information, but it was through verified and secure text messages so he could not see my information.
While on the phone, he hacked into my Bank of America account and transferred {$2000.00} to a man named XXXX and {$600.00} to a man named XXXX using the app XXXX ( which I have never used in my lifetime ). I do not know either of these people, nor do I know the man on the phone. I immediately reported the fraud to Bank of America, and opened up new accounts with the bank. The claim number is XXXX. This claim was denied because the bank claimed that since I provided a username that I authorized the transactions, but I do no such thing.
I came to learn that this is a known fraud scheme with XXXX. The XXXX XXXX Account was fake, and he made the account to have access to my personal information as his XXXX XXXX. The representative was also a fraud, and in fact they were the same person. I do not know this person, and I do not know the people who he transferred money to.
My XXXX police report ID is XXXX. I have also worked with Detective XXXX XXXX, who can be reached at phone number XXXX I am also including a copy of my complaint to the Federal Trade Commission ( FTC ). My FTC report number is XXXX.
I would also like for it to be known that XXXX Is aware of the fraudulent activity, and has confirmed that this person used a fraudulent profile on XXXX To hack my bank account. This person inappropriately used the XXXX App that I work for to access my personal information. The Fraud Department at XXXX Is very willing to assist with this investigation to have my funds securely returned to me. The XXXX Fraud team can be reached at XXXX.

Complaint: am contacting Bank Of America in reference due to a balance owed from a overdraft checkings account. I am requesting for a typed document which stated the amounts owed and the also the account number associated with the overdraft amount. I am requesting for the account to be deleted from XXXX, The XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX and any other reporting system. For an agreement or exchange to pay this balance on my reports from years ago. Complaint: Oh or about XX/XX/XXXX I deposited a check into my Bank of America account from my credit union account. The check was for {$3000.00}.
On XX/XX/XXXX, the credit union process that check and the money went to Bank of America. BANK OF AMERICA XXXX said the funds would not be available until XX/XX/XXXX.
I called customer service and was told that as soon as the money came through it would be made available anytime between the day I called which was the XXXX until XXXX XXXX.
I then went to the bank and attempted to access the {$3000.00} and was told that I should go to the credit union and have them cancel the check and give me the cash and then come and deposit the cash. This happened today.
The credit union Prepared a statement for me saying their money had been transferred to Bank of America and they were unable to cancel payment on it.
An employee at Bank of America told me that the manager has the discretion to override holds on checks. When I return to Bank of America they said theres no way that a manager could release any part of the funds that were on hold and that I would just have to wait till the XXXX. I was also informed that there was no one higher to whom I could appeal to secure some or part of my money.
The employees were very nice But reiterated they were unable to help me. So, here I am no money in the credit union and no money in Bank of America and {$3000.00} floating somewhere. In the meantime I am missing payment deadlines and accruing interest on bills..
I have been a customer of BANK OF AMERICA since they were Nations bank and maybe even before then. I have had loans and paid them off, two house mortgages and paid them off, and a strong supporter of this bank in the past.
{$3000.00} is a lot of money for the bank to hold onto for almost 2 weeks. It came from my credit union account and as always I have deposited checks via mobile deposit into Bank of America. This is the first time I have encountered them holding onto my funds without allowing some access.

Complaint: I received a call from my Human resource officer, that I need to call XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, regarding a summons. I called them and they said that I owed a debt from, XXXX, their words, not mine. I then asked for proof of the owed debt, the gentleman named XXXX, then told me that I would be served at my work. I then asked him to serve me at my home address and he refused, and threatened me saying that I would be served at work. He then told me all of my personal information like my SSN, DOB, and wife 's name. Almost like he was trying to claim he had too much information on me, so that I would comply. He then threatened to call my wife 's work and serve her with a summons.
