Complaint: After numerous months and dozens of phone calls, complaints, and Internet correspondence, were still trying to get our money from this company. They say they have guidelines for releasing funds, however nothing has been consistent or logical since the beginning. We are now down to approximately {$400.00} of {$78000.00}. However, due to their extreme incompetence, lack of judgment, or just sheer stupidity, this money will not be released. We have been told the house needs to be 80 % complete, 90 % complete, and 100 % complete. Which is it? We have had several inspections showing the house is being repaired, and is now supposedly 85 % complete. When making inquiries, the customer service reps have been rude, condescending, and just plain amateur. Obviously, {$400.00} will not fix the rest of our house, as there still is approximately {$50000.00} worth of work to be done. Its as if they want to hold this money just to prove a point. They are paying more for inspectors to come out to look at the house than the actual {$400.00} that remains. We have tried to speak with supervisors, upper management, and anyone who could possibly make a rational decision. However no one seems to know who these people are, or who they actually work for. It is like trying to reason with a group of four-year-olds. They need to release the rest of her money, and move on. Hopefully in the future they can adopt consistent guidelines for releasing funds, and follow through with such directives. We have uploaded numerous paid receipts which are somehow lost, even though this is done electronically. They overlook paid receipts, misread these receipts, or just plain do the math incorrectly. Again, the incompetence level is astonishing. This mortgage company is nothing but a scam. They are profiting off of holding peoples insurance money, while we suffer, unable to finish the repairs on our home.

Complaint: Amerihome has been reporting to our credit incorrectly. They stated they did not receive a XX/XX/2018 payment and reported to our credit from XXXX to XXXX, when they sold our loan that we did not make payments. We faxed them our bank statement from XX/XX/2018 to XX/XX/2018 showing payment. They would not accept that paperwork and needed a transmittle from our bank showing the money was transferred and where it was transferred to. We had our bank fax the transmittle and contact Amerihome with us on a conference call to make sure this was received. They said they did see that the payment was made and would send it to an underwriter to have a letter issued for correction so we could refinance our home and be able.to have our credit report corrected. Amerihome will not write the letter with the explanation that they need to see what happened to the money on their end. I cant do anything about what they did with the money all I can show is it was paid and they will do nothing for me. This has been going on for 3 weeks.

Complaint: Upon receiving my Year End Interest Statement, I realized that the address the mortgage company had on file as my primary home address was in a different state than where I live. I have emailed the company and made numerous calls in an effort to resolve this but I am not getting anywhere with them. I have explained that I live in Texas which is where my loan originated from, I have never lived in Tennessee which is the address that now shows up on my statements. This caused me to to have to get an extension to file my Income Tax and now I'm in danger of losing my XXXX health insurance as it is a requirement that i file my taxes. I've been battling XXXX XXXX and can not afford to be without health insurance. I tried explaining this to a supervisor after being transferred several times and she finally agreed to make the correction and fax me the form but that was over a week ago and I never received it. Also, I changed my homeowners insurance to a less expensive one and they claim that they never received payment. One week later I verified that payment was received but they are still charging me the higher premium that they slapped on my loan which increased my payment by more than {$200.00} per month. I don't understand how a mortgage company can change the address on my file without my authorization and increase my payment PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Complaint: There is an overage in my escrow account with AmeriHome of over {$1100.00}. I called on Saturday XX/XX/2019 and the first rep calculated my overage to be over {$2000.00} The escrow department reviewed his calculations and decided they were wrong and put the money back into my escrow account on Saturday XX/XX/2019. When I called customer service they advised that the escrow department determined the true overage to be over {$1100.00} and because of the mix up they promised to send the check over night. I have called and spoke to 4 supervisors and a manager and I still do not have my money. I was provided a tracking number, but when I checked with XXXX they stated that the package was never provided to XXXX for delivery.

Complaint: Per complaint # XXXX, Amerihome Mortgage Company accepted responsibility to negligence on our account, and agreed to refund every month of overpayment on our account.
The complaint was closed a month ago, and our account has not been reassessed for a corrected future payment. Our payment is the same as if we were still overdrawn in escrow ( they have refunded the incorrectly collected escrow fees ... but no change in our payment? ) We have not received a refund for overpayment. Our account has not been reassessed for future payments. I do not believe that Amerihome plans to correct this issue, as promised. I believe that they plan to ignore the decision agreed upon in the closed complaint referenced above.
Additionally, Amerihome has now tacked on a phantom charge onto my account. When accessed through an online portal, we are shown to owe no late fees, and to be current. The physically mailed bill contains a {$120.00} " fee '' that is now considered late ( please see attached photos ). Customer service agents are unable to explain the discrepancy, or where the fee came from/when it was applied. I am worried this will hit my credit, as it is not listed on my online bill ( how my monthly bill is auto-paid ) and therefore is considered " late '' on one bill but not another? The fee does no exist across all of their platforms, and is impossible to tell if it is legitimate.
This company is acting in extreme bad faith to their consumers.
I have : *A : not been paid back the amount that the overcharged me, as promised.
*B : Not had my bill reassessed to reflect the correct amount I should be paying.
*C : Now been charged on one billing mechanism ( but not another )? for a random fee that no one can explain to me.

Complaint: This complaint involves AmeriHome Mortgage. They service my VA loan. Since the last week of XXXX this company insists I have no Home owners insurance. My insurance agent and myself have supplied them proof of insurance on three separate occasions over the intervening 6 weeks. Today I received another letter from them stating they have documented the renewal of my policy and dispersed the funds. They however still claim that their was a three month lapse in coverage and they will purchase coverage for that and have started a debt collection proceeding. They have received copies of the coverage that was valid during the contested period. I even tried to upload the document again upon receipt of todays letter however their own site states that the document is already on file.

Complaint: I have been with Amerihome Mortgage since closing in XX/XX/2018. Currently, I'm enrolled in a program to pay my mortgage bi-weekly. We recently changed bank accounts which required me to update my account information with Amerihome. I contacted Amerihome by phone and email. I emailed in a new drafting form 10 days before my payment was due. Amerihome failed to update my information timely, which resulted in an attempted draft on my closed account. I contacted Amerihome by phone numerous times and not a single person was able to assist at getting my information changed. I finally mailed in the same form with a check for the amount that was returned from my closed account. 10 days later, they have yet to process my payment nor my new drafting form. I have called in numerous times and nobody is ever able to assist or offer a solution to solving the problem. This company is a nightmare at trying to handle the smallest issues of simply making a payment. I am now concerned by their lack of timely action that they may attempt to report a late payment on my credit report.

Complaint: Hello, I have had trouble with my mortgage company. I am in a trial payment plan, that should have ended. I have made payments on time, but yet Amerihome has not granted and the payment plan on a permanent basis. They are also reporting this account late on my credit. Complaint: 3rd complaint regarding this company. We are still trying to get our money from this company to continue repairs on our house. There is only approx. $ XXXX left to disperse and they will not use common sense in releasing this. A total of $ XXXX was paid by insurance. This only covers about 60 % of the repairs. This is why we need all the money sent to us. What is the benefit of nickel and diming us over the final $ XXXX. The house is obviously being repaired, as 2 inspections and hundreds of photos and invoices have shown this. The first complaint a response was received stating Should you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact me at XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Executive Resolution Analyst Enclosures. We have attempted to contact this person with little to no success. Return calls are promised but not returned. A supervisor will call in 24-48hrs. Never happens. We have wasted dozens of hours trying to deal with these people and its like trying to reason with a first grader. Complaint: I pay my mortgage through autopay with my bank. The payment is sent out a day in advance each month. In XXXX, 2018 my mortgage payment was sent to Amerihome and received. On that same day, the company reversed the transaction and, instead of posting the payment to my account, sent the money somewhere else. I have spoken to multiple customer service representatives on multiple dates. They have all told me that there is an internal problem, not to worry, and they would fix it. I was told, multiple times, another department would have to review my account, but it should be fixed shortly. I received an email about a month after my last phone conversation that said they had refunded my payment, and I was a month behind on payments. I have reviewed my account statements many times, I have called my bank, and I can not find any refund of my payment. At this point {$1400.00} has been stollen from me. Please help me to correct this problem.

Complaint: I received two copies of a hazard insurance bill that is supposed to be paid from escrow by Amerihome Mortgage. I wanted to ensure that Amerihome had also received a copy, so I submitted a question via their secure portal. I received an incomprehensible response that looked like a failed cut/paste attempt.
I filed a second inquiry via the Amerihome portal and got a slightly better response although it, too, had significant problems. For example, it referenced a " proof of insurance '' request which was not the nature of my inquiry.
Both the initial and second responses indicated that I could communicate with the company via chat, but after looking at every screen available to me in the portal, I couldn't find any way to initiate a chat session.
It seems to me that the company has a staff that is improperly trained, and they refer to a function ( " chat '' ) in their standardized correspondence that is not available via the portal I am using.
