I have also been told this should not affect my credit report. I have been notified my credit report shows no payment when I have been told to save the payments until the loan modification have been approved. Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX we completed a recast ( or re-amortization ) of our mortgage memorialized by a Mortgage Modification dated XX/XX/XXXX after having made a principal reduction ( aka a curtailment ) to our loan balance. In our cover letter with the Original Mortgage Modification Agreement and other lender documents we signed and had notarized, we requested a copy of the fully executed copy of the Modification Agreement with AmeriHomes joinder be sent to us for our records.
We sought from Amerihomes servicer and received via email confirmation dated XX/XX/XXXX that all properly signed documents had been received, and that the requisite changes had been made to our account, including the new total payment amount.
By return email XX/XX/XXXX we again requested a copy of the Mortgage Modification Agreement with countersigned or joined by Lenders authorized signatories. On XX/XX/XXXX AmeriHome responded via email that they would send us a copy of the Agreement once executed by their officers but that it could take several months After numerous phone calls, on XX/XX/XXXX, over 1 year later, we sent via USPS certified return receipt to AmeriHome an Error Resolution Notice under 12 C.F.R. 1024.35, again requesting a fully and properly executed copy of the Modification Agreement signed by their officers.
They responded by mailing to us, without comment, a copy of the Agreement apparently signed by AmeriHomes officers on XX/XX/XXXX. ( It apparently was left neglected for well over a year ) However, the Officers signature page lacks a notary acknowledgement as to the Officers.
Please note the comment typed under the AmeriHome signature block on page 4 of this instrument the execution of this Agreement should witnessed and the appropriate acknowledgement clause should be added, if these are requirements under local law. In addition, if required under local law or practice this Agreement should be filed of record.
We are specifically requesting that this instrument be properly executed by the Lenders officers, including witnesses and an acknowledgement by a Notary, and that it be recorded in the official records. In the alternative, we request a satisfactory explanation from the Lender as to why this is not necessary under local law, and that the instrument they sent to us meets the requirements for execution under local law.

Complaint: I have tried over the last 16 months to have my mortgage insurance removed. I was told by AmeriHome mortgage ( my lender ) that I must wait two years before they would even look at my request. Now after sending another email and making a phone call to XXXX then I asked for his supervisor XXXX, I was told they wont even respond to my request for 30 days, when their website states five days! I found out once the home is funded and recorded, mortgage insurance may be removed after a 30 day period, as long as the home qualifies. I have been in my home over Two years now and never missed or late with the payment and have updated the home with at least {$30000.00} in improvements. Not to mention the home value increase of 10 % at minimum in my subdivision. Not sure why this company is allowed to rip off its clients like this?? I have also copied Governor XXXX on my issue.

Complaint: Hello, First, thank you for your help in this matter.
I continuously have problems with my lender ( Amerihome Mortgage ). My mortgage was sold to them, without any input from me, by XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/2019. I've filed two other complaints with the XXXX.
Who regulates this company?
How am I powerless to choose my mortgage company?
I've also written complaints via online review sites such as XXXX. ( Along with hundreds of other unhappy customers. ) Some issues of late are : - a website that doesn't work ( I get error messages when clicking on any menu ) - reps who regularly hang up on me - payment systems that also do not work ( which seems to be a link to another site? ) - long hold times - an insecure website that does not have a proper SSL certificate - no mobile app - slow, clunk interfaces on all digital formats - reps always say " we are having a problem with our system right now '' EVERY TIME I CALL!!
This is completely unacceptable. I do not want to have a mortgage with this company. What can I do to end my relationship with them? How is this legal.
I plan to contact my State representative regarding this matter, as I suspect CFPB is also toothless to get this company to improve.

Complaint: Last year in XX/XX/XXXX I had a switch of bank accounts as I moved all personal accounts to where my business banking accounts are held. During this process I had the accounts paid for online and had named the new account the same as the old account. I was notified that my homeowners insurance was not renewed, their was a mix up from the carrier as to where the renewal was sent. I paid my mortgage as usual however Amerihome was trying to take it from the closed account. I was not notified by Amerihome not only for the insurance renewal but also that the Mortgage was not paid for XX/XX/XXXX. When I was told i was late in XX/XX/XXXX, I immediately paid XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX totaling over {$4000.00}. I had spoke to customer service to get this resolved and they had acknowledged the mistake on the draft and the insurance renewal and sent me a link to get the late removed. It has not been removed and I called to inquire again as recent as 30 days ago and they had told me it was not done and they are not sure why.

Complaint: The mortgage company is not applying additional monthly principle payments to the balance of the loan. They are trying to drag out the loan and cost us money. This has happened three months this year. I have had this problem more than three times this year. Attached you will find THIS months issue. A single additional payment of XXXX was made. The amount was too large for them to apply. They ended up trying to pull another XXXX on top of the original amount. They are now trying to charge a bad check fee. Our bank stated that they are consistently having trouble with this mortgage company.

Complaint: Today is XX/XX/XXXX. I have a mortgage through Amerihome Mortgage who purchased my loan in XXXX. I went through a two month period where I didn't receive my normal XXXX XXXX payment and I fell behind on my XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX payments. I called a HUD financial counselor for advice and they suggested I ask to participate in a repayment program.
When I called Amerihome to request a repayment plan option, they told me that they did an escrow analysis and my school taxes jumped from around XXXX to XXXX a year. AS a result, my monthly mortgage payment starting in XX/XX/XXXX ( I am atatching the statement ) going forward is now XXXX dollars. Due to the high payment, I did not qualify for a repayment plan option.
I got copies of my tax bills from our County Assessor 's office to verify that my taxes hadn't gone up that high - actually not a t all. I called Amerihome back and tried to get answers on who how and why they decided my school taxes were XXXX a year. They told me that just happens sometimes and they have no control over it. I spoke with the person in charge of my escrow account and he had no explanation either. They told me they were going to put in a work order to do an investigation which would take about 30 days.
In the meantime, hey repayment plan is not an option for me and in another 30 days I will be in a worse situation. I can get caught up for XX/XX/XXXX for now but the XX/XX/XXXX payment is XXXX and this company does not accept partial payment. I went down that road before where I sent two partial payments of XXXX and XXXX, they cashed one of the checks, then sent me letters saying I owed the full amount because they don't accept partial payment. It took me almost two months of arguing to get that money back from them.
I need help and clearly my school taxes aren't XXXX!

Complaint: My wife and I refinanced our home with XXXX XXXX in XXXX, 2019. We immediately got the paperwork completed with them to start Budget Drafting ( bi-weekly ) payments to start in XXXX. I was proactive to get this done, ASAP, so we could use the bi-weekly payment plan to pay down our loan sooner and save years of interest.
In XXXX, before the drafts started, XXXX. XXXX sold the loan to Amerihome Mortgage Company. I immediately contacted XXXX. XXXX and was told that they had passed along the Budget Drafting document and all other documents to Amerihome. I then called Amerihome to be sure they had received all the documents from XXXX. XXXX including the signed and agreed upon Budget Drafting document so we could start that month.
Budget Drafting did not start in XXXX. So, I called Amerihome again and they told me they didnt receive the document and wed need to fill out Amerihomes version of the document. We did that and faxed it back to them within a couple days. I continued to follow up with Amerihome who could not find it for a long time. Finally, they sent us a document stating theyd received it and we were setup for Budget Drafting ( see attached 061819 Budget Draft Approval Letter.pdf ).
So, XXXX and XXXX came around and no drafts came out. Again, after many conversations, next ( new first draft date ) was to come out Friday XX/XX/XXXX. Again, it did not. So, I called Amerihome on Monday XX/XX/XXXX and again on the XXXX to find out why. Since those customer support workers couldnt help resolve the issue, I went online on the Amerihome site and paid a full payment directly via the same bank savings account information Id setup there from the beginning ( see attached 071719 Amerihome Full Payment.png ).
I contacted them again to find out why Budget Drafting hadnt started. They said the reason was that even though we were totally current on the loan, that their company policy was that we had to pay an extra month in advance before Budget Drafting could begin. So, 2 days later on XX/XX/XXXX, I went online and paid an extra full {$1400.00} payment ( see attached 071919 Loan Detail ( shows Balance - before 2nd pymt ) .pdf and 071919 Loan Payment for XX/XX/XXXX get ahead so Budget Drafting starts in XXXX ( for XXXX ) .pdf ).
After that payment was posted, I went online to find that the {$1400.00} payment had not been applied 100 % to principle, even though paid in advance, and shouldve been. Instead, it was treated as a normal monthly payment ( which this was not ) where they only put the normal {$330.00} towards principle, but then kept the Escrow payments and Mortgage Insurance ( PMI ) payment totaling {$340.00} plus the {$730.00} in interest for themselves. In any type of Federally regulated Mortgage this should be illegal all by itself and prosecutable on criminal, as well as, civil charges but even worse, as ours is an FHA Mortgage, I believe they are now liable for criminal charges from the Federal government on top of that.
I called thru Amerihomes many layers of blockage to talk to a manager which I have now done many times since this excruciating process can take hours and days of continued effort to get thru to any person that can really help. One such manager I finally got thru to was XXXX ( I believe her last name is XXXX, ID : XXXX ) in Customer Service. She seemed so nice and so sincere. I told her about the problem of my extra up-front full payment not going 100 % towards principle, but instead being disseminated as small principle, then regular Escrow, PMI and interest. She looked at it and agreed that was what had been done in this case, but said that was Amerihomes company policy and theres nothing she could do about it. She did agree with me ( on recorded conversation, as Amerihome states all conversations are being recorded ) that that action was not right and disagreed w/that company policy. She gave me her location in the US, her department, her ID number ( no extension though ), and told me that I could call and ask for her directly and shed be more than happy to follow-up and help me anytime. That NEVER happened again. No matter how many times I called at later times, again thru the many layers of blockage, to reach XXXX, she would not be around, could not take my calls and would never return any calls.
Next iteration in this saga was that the next ( new first date for ) Budget Drafting was to come out Friday XX/XX/XXXX. Of course, it did not, again. I called on the XXXX and then again on Monday the XXXX and was told the reason it didnt come out on XXXX was because they had mistakenly put in the draft for {$0.00}. I was told they guaranteed theyd fix that immediately so the next draft on the XXXX would go fine. But was told that I needed to make the 9th draft amount over the phone so not to mess up going forward ( thats funny NOT ). So, I gave her permission to go ahead and draft {$700.00} ( I was rounding up ). She did that without me giving her my savings account information, since she said she already had it from my previous online payments and in the Budget Drafting info that she could see in our account.
After waiting two more business days and not seeing it show up as a draft at my bank online, I tried to follow up with XXXX to get stonewalled. I finally got thru to XXXX, at xXXXX, who works for XXXX. XXXX said she would make sure the draft was posted and told me that she would personally follow up with me on the XXXX ( next draft date ) to be sure it was completed.
Finally, on XX/XX/XXXX it showed up as a draft in our savings account ( see attached XXXX Records for 8030 Savings Account for Mortgage Drafts.png ).
So, Friday XX/XX/XXXX comes and NO draft, again. Im not shocked at this point in Amerihomes ineptness and lack of capability to accomplish normal, simple business tasks. I called XXXX, because she did NOT call me, but could only leave a voicemail for her. She did not return that call. So, on Monday the XXXX I called again, but XXXX wasnt available, so lady ( in same department ) told me that she could see that the payment had been posted on their side as of that day, so we agreed to give it a couple more days to show up on our bank.
So, on Wednesday the XXXX it had not shown up so I called back for XXXX. Even though Id jumped thru all the hoops and had given my loan #, the person told me that XXXX said she could not talk to me unless I gave my loan # and all info again so I did. So, after jumping thru many hoops giving all my info again and again and again, as I was passed from one inept worker to another, then magically XXXX nor XXXX were no longer available even though she was there to give the previous instructions to her customer support worker. XXXX nor XXXX would ever be available again.
On Friday, XX/XX/XXXX we received the attached letter XXXX Letter _ Notice.pdf stating that A payment made on your loan has not been honored by your bank. So, I went online and saw that they tried to draft against the wrong savings account actually a childs savings account ( see NSF fee in attached XXXX Shows Amerihome tried to debt the wrong Savings Account, but still had more than enough to cover the {$700.00} pymt.png ) showing the attempt by Amerihome. Even though that was the wrong account, please note that there was more than enough funds available to cover the approximate {$700.00} payment, so no excuse about insufficient funds there. Then look again at the XXXX Records for 8030 Savings Account for Mortgage Drafts.png showing that the proper savings account ( they have on record ) had more than sufficient funds in it on the XXXX also so, no excuse there either.
Then on Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX we received the attached letter 082819 2 Page Letter.pdf from Amerihome now stating that our bank has told them the reason they could not draft was because the exact same savings account uses numerous times previously with Amerihome is now, all of a sudden, a Non-transaction account. Therefore, they terminated Budget Drafting stating Your account has been removed from our Payment Drafting Program, and the drafting information has been deleted from our system. Back to square one before XXXX XXXX.
So, now weve been cheated out of our extra payment not being applied 100 % towards principle, as it shouldve been. Bottom line Amerihome has done three things : ( 1 ) caused great aggravation and undue stress to both my wife and myself over the last 5 months ; ( 2 ) wasted over 100 hours of my time over 5 months ; and ( 3 ) stolen our money.
I looked at XXXX online to find that Amerihome has XXXX Complaints currently. When I get done it will be XXXX.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, we were informed by XXXX XXXX that our mortgage have been sold on XX/XX/XXXX to Amerihome mortgage company , LLC ( AmeriHome ) ..
On XX/XX/XXXX, AmeriHome send us notification that they had indeed purchased our note.
AmeriHome bought our note and is now servicing our loan. When we first took out the original loan, we set up arrangements to pay {$750.00} twice a month. And we paid the first {$600.00} before the first payment was ever due and the next at first of the month, so it should " Never Be Late. '' Note : Our monthly payment is {$1400.00} a month. As you can see {$1500.00} we pay exceeds this amount. Amerihome was holding onto our first payment until the second comes in and then applies it. Our first complaint is that we feel cheated, because they are holding onto that first payment without applying it. Their excuse is that it is policy, but they purchased our note, and thus should have to follow the way we originally had payments set up, as we took great pains to set the payments up. Eventually, they sold our note to XXXX XXXX.
Although we have made regular payments {$750.00} on our note, AmeriHome sent us a plethora of debt collection and delinquency letters on the following dates : - XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX ( request for payment ) - XX/XX/XXXX ( delinquency notice ) XX/XX/XXXX With XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, who we pay our bills through, on the telephone I called AmeriHome on or about XX/XX/XXXX. Their rep stated and That I had not made payments. At this point the representative from the XXXX XXXX XXXX chimed in and stated he was wrong. She stated that the XXXX and XXXX payment had been made, the specific date they were set out and that they had in fact been received by the mortgage company. Amerihomes rep payments have been placed on hold asked some of them have been sit back to me. This is a far cry Front pages having never been made and I was unaware, at this time, that any payments have been sent back. We have to jump through a lot of hoops wait for the check to coat is while at the same time send me a separate check the cover the mortgage and praying that AmeriHome was telling the truth about sending the payment back, so we were not in a position but have a nearly {$3000.00} Worth of checks to cash at what time 41 {$140000.00} payment. This type of abuse went on and on. New line XXXX in XXXX the Department of Veterans Affairs rated me essay XXXX XXXX XXXX veteran and I sent tax documents to the mortgage company, in early XX/XX/XXXX, so they was stop taking tax payments via escrow. This proved to be a tremendous chore. In XXXX I followed up on my initial inquiry by sending the following email.
Hello, Earlier this month, we faxed a copy of our tax bill to your company - specifically : 1 XXXX XXXX XXXX, TX XXXX Fax : XXXX We informed AmeriHome, I was a XXXX XXXX XXXX veteran and in Texas - XXXX XXXX XXXX vets are exempt from ALL property tax. Included in the fax was a copy of my VA Letter.
However, a couple of weeks has past and weve not heard anything about refunding the taxes, paid into escrow, back to us. Instead, weve been told AmeriHome is planning to pay taxes up through the 2nd week of XXXX. We need AmeriHome to : 1. Update its records regarding our tax exemption 2. Immediately refund us the taxes youve collected and are holding in Escrow ; in that, the taxes are no longer due and our household isn 100 % exempt.
3. Adjust our mortgage payment to reflect payments ; which do not have property taxes as part of the makeup of the payments. This needs to be done without delay ; since payment is due XX/XX/XXXX.
Please note, this is our second attempt at collecting our property taxes back from AmeriHome Mortgage.

This absolutely makes no sense and you provided nothing in your email that provides a reasonable explanation for why are you deem it necessary to have a payment made in excess of that which is required for the mortgage and insurance. This seems on its face unlawful and illegal, because you are receiving monies for which you are not due.
If it appears that we are upset, we are. We did not ask you your company to acquire our mortgage, but since the day you acquired our mortgage we have been nothing but abused and bullied by your company. Your company has mandated payment policies on us as if they were contractual ; which theyre not. Therefore we do not have a high level of trust regarding your company.
Since the very beginning when we made our first payment ; your people treated us as if we were deadbeat debtors. We have a recording where your people stated we hadnt made a payment, but we had our bank online which not only told yall we had made the payment but when you received it. And your company still accused us of not making a payment. So we do not have a high level of trust regarding anything that you do. Therefore you will need to explain to us your rationale for both the XXXX and XXXX payments, so that it is crystal clear.
So we are demanding that you explain yourself as to why are you require extra payments for XXXX and XXXX as it appears you are collecting monies not due you and doing so by mail.
Additionally we want a complete breakdown from our first payment to present date. ; where youve applied the monies for each and every payment we have made thus far to present date. We also wish to have a detailed accounting of the money in escrow from beginning to present date. And we would like that ASAP.
And please note, we are borderline on going to the consumer finance protection bureau, due to what we perceive to be abuses by your company against us. And frankly were tired of it. This is not a threat, but rather at outcry of extreme frustration at the poor customer service and abuses that that some of your employees have bestowed upon us.

Complaint: AmeriHome Mortgage ( who assumed our original loan ) at the beginning of XX/XX/XXXX has breached their fiduciary duty to us by not protecting our personal financial information and causing us to be defrauded of {$2500.00} at the time of this complaint ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and exposing us to unknown future repercussions of identity theft.
On XX/XX/XXXX we were notified by our bank, XXXX XXXX, of fraudulent charges within a savings account we use for college for our children. There were multiple ACH direct debit transactions totaling {$2500.00}. There are no checks or debits cards related to this account, so we were perplexed as to how someone gained access to it as they would need very sensitive information such as SSN and DOB.
Upon review of the charges, the name XXXX XXXX ( AKA XXXX XXXX, DOB XXXX ), is listed multiple times on our statement for these fraudulent charges. A quick search returned this name to AmeriHome, which is our mortgage company ( our loan was sold to them in the last 8 weeks ). From her own XXXX Profile, XXXX XXXX lists herself as a Loan Review Specialist at AmeriHome XX/XX/XXXX to the present and she obviously had access to our data.
The following are the fraudulent transactions to date : XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX { The charge to XXXX XXXX paid for rent, and it leads to an XXXX complex with an address associated with XXXX XXXX in XXXX, TX -- XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, TX XXXX XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX }.

Whether it by sloppy hiring practices or improper computer encryptions for sensitive data, our SSN and all our personal information has been compromised indefinitely and the longstanding repercussion of this identity fraud is unknown. Every online review of this company leads me to believe their unscrupulous practices should be looked into carefully. We can not and will not do business with such a company and will be retaining a lawyer if we can not get swift and proper remediation.
AmeriHome was negligent in protecting us, their customer. We are so discouraged that the one place that was supposed to protect our information ended up being the same place it became compromised.

Complaint: This is the third complaint I have filed against Amerihome Mortgage.
The two previous complains are : XXXX XXXX A summary of the previous problem : Amerihome mortgage did not renew our insurance policy and let it lapse due to internal error. They did not notice for well over a year when I brought the issue to their attention. After my CFPB complaints, their remedy was to place back insurance on our account at no cost to us ( because we had a gap in insurance history which made us uninsurable ) and to apply new insurance on our home of equal value moving forward. They would find insurance OF EQUAL VALUE to apply to our home, and cover any additional costs over our original premium.
The new problem : Once again, Amerihome Mortgage did not act in good faith. They have been dishonest throughout this entire experience. The new insurance claim that they bought for our home ( which we had no say in ) was not of equal value to our insurance. In fact, they chose to add an optional rider to the policy to make it cheaper for themselves ( because they had to pay any amount over our original policy ). This optional rider makes it so that our insurance does not cover water damage from plumbing or appliance leaks. Our old policy DID cover water damage. This rider is OPTIONAL in my county. Amerihome decided to add it only to save themselves money over our safety.
We were not asked about this rider, nor asked if we wanted it included in our policy. Because of their promises, we thought we were getting the exact same level of insurance we purchased previously.
Well, our AC or Slab now has a leak, and has caused tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage to our floors and baseboards. Because of Amerihome 's decision to skirt the CFPB 's ruling, we are not covered to have any of this damage replaced and must now pay out of pocket for the repairs. We do not have the money to do this, and the mold/bacteria is getting worse every day. It will be MUCH worse after we loose power from Hurricane Dorian and will not have AC to cool the home for an undetermined amount of time. My family will have health issues from this problem.
How many times must Amerihome step on our necks before full reparations are made and they are held accountable?

Complaint: We refinanced our mortgage and the new bank was given the payoff which included all interest and payments etc.for the date of XX/XX/2019. We noticed two withdrawals for PMI during the month of XXXX. The first PMI withdrawal was taken XX/XX/XXXX which was the day after we made our normal XXXX monthly payment. The next PMI payment was withdrawn XX/XX/XXXX which was the day after the new bank completed the pay off. There should not be an additional month of PMI taken because ( 1 ) the payoff was already given to the new bank and had been paid in full, and ( 2 ) because it was below the 78 % threshold of PMI requirements which are pointed out in the disclosure documents. I called the bank to verify and was told that PMI is taken one month in arrears, but no one could explain why the second PMI payment was taken. The second PMI payment needs to be credited back into escrow and sent to me, as it does not belong to the bank since the payoff had already been stated and paid in full.

Complaint: I attempted to make a half payment today, XX/XX/2019, and the balance on the due date of XX/XX/2019. The purpose of this action is a common procedure to knock about 8 years off the mortgage term. ( 30 year mortgage ). I was told by XXXX @ XXXX office, ID # XXXX, that they do not accept partial payments and would send back my payment if I was to pay partial payment. This would be my first payment due on XXXX Amerihome phone number= XXXX I was solicited by a company unknown to make payments for me in this manner for a monthly fee which I felt was exorbitant. I promptly threw the solicitation mail in the waste basket. I want to make these payments myself and reap the reward. I feel their policy is unfair and possibly illegal.

Complaint: I have an FHA loan on a property at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, MD XXXX that was sold to Amerihome. Since XX/XX/XXXX Amerihome has claimed that I am past due and even threatened foreclosure. When I obtained the loan through XXXX I paid an extra payment at closing so that I would always be one month ahead. In XX/XX/XXXX Amerihome stopped sending statements to me ( after I declined a refinance offer ) and misprocessed an electronic payment. I have a copy of transactions back to XX/XX/XXXX ( when I switched banks due to an identity theft ) and since then, Amerihome has received {>= $1,000,000} in payments. So that is 14 monthly payments of {$2500.00} since XX/XX/XXXX and along with the payment I made at closing, I should be one month ahead not behind as Amerihome claims.

Complaint: My mortgage was paid in full on XX/XX/2019. According to AmeriHome prerecorded message any refunds will be processed within 20 days ( not business days ). Today is day 21, and I still have not received my escrow refund of {$1800.00}. I've emailed and called customer service. I always get a " canned '' response that it takes between 20-30 business days to issue a refund of MY escrow funds. Why does it take so long to issue a refund? Why is the message given to the consumer not the same as the prerecorded message? Why does it take so long to issue a refund? This money does not belong to the mortgage company.
