Not given enough info to verify debt
Complaint: I started receiving calls from Ad Astra Recovery in the beginning of XX/XX/2016 in regards to an alleged debt owed of {$730.00}. I had no idea what was going on so I sent multiple of dispute letters starting in XX/XX/2016 until now. Astra Recovery simply ignored my request for validation. They were reporting to all XXXX bureaus ( XXXX, XXXX and XXXX ) of this debt. In an attempted request for validation notification of this debt, Astra Recovery has failed to send me any proof of validation per law. It 's now been 9 months. In review of my credit report within those 9 months, all Astra Recovery stated was that account was disputed by consumer and met FCRA requirements.
Astra stated that a validation letter was sent to me along with 9 other letters. I never received a validation letter because if that was the case I would have disputed it the moment I received it. I 've attached a copy of one of the letters that I actually received of which Astra states is part of the validation only per law states otherwise.
Astra states they will send the validation again but have not yet to receive it. This ignorance of request for validation has gone on for almost a year and per law needs to be removed from the credit bureaus.

Not given enough info to verify debt
Complaint: I was reviewing my credit bureau reports and noticed many inaccuracies and items that I did not recognize. I contacted this company by mail on XX/XX/2016 asking them to provide documentation with my signature validating that this is indeed my debt. They have refused to provide documentation verifying the debt that they are trying to collect is mine. I have given them more than 30 days to get back to me. I reached back out to the credit bureaus and they instructed me to file a complaint with you all since the creditor will not respond to my communications, and is continuing to negatively report me to the credit bureaus with no documented proof. Attached is the letter that I sent over to them.

Debt is not mine
Complaint: Please note the inconsistencies in AdAstra 's statement and their continued attempts to avoid deleting the inaccurate item from my credit report. AdAstra violated the FCRA and FDCA by not VALIDATING the item in the REQUIRED timeframe. I asked for a validation of the debt, not a verification of the debt. Verification is what this company is continuing to provide and Third Party Debt collectors are subject to VALIDATION of debt.
AdAstra claim # 1 : " All of our responses included a breakdown of the balance, the name and address of the original creditor and other information we received from our client that may be useful to XXXX XXXX in achieving a resolution of her dispute ''.
My Response to claim # 1 : You can see on the attached notice, that this does not include a breakdown of the balance, it simply states the balance. This statement in itself is untrue because ALL of their notices DOES not include a BREAKDOWN in balance. It simply shows the balance.
I requested that the debt be validated, which it never was and as a response to this validation request, I received a notice stating my debt was frivolous and AdAstra refused provide information that was NEVER sent from the beginning. Procedures are in place to consider a dispute frivolous and these procedures were not followed, I repeat the investigation was never completed and the documentation requested was NEVER sent to me. I requested an initial validation of debt which included all relevant account number ( s ) as well as specific information that is compliant with a reasonable investigation. Those items were the original contract which is bilateral and this contract will contain my original signature as well as the other party original signature, proof that this debt originated from my social security number and address with proper identification and Full audit compliant accounting on the balance AdAstra is claiming due, and Proof that they are authorized to collect on this debt, is there an agreement between you and the alleged Original Creditor? This is far from what I received. " What I received was a letter that did not include ANY of that information.
AdAstra claim # 2 : AdAstra continues to state that the information that was provided to me was simply a verification of debt. Below I am quoting AdAstra which can be seen in their response to the complaint.
" All of our responses included a breakdown of the balance, the name and address of the original creditor and other information we received from our client that may be useful to XXXX XXXX in achieving a resolution of her dispute. '' My Response to claim # 2 : This information which the company has admitted to sending ; is NOT validation compliant. Ad Astra, has yet to forward the following information, which was requested in the original request for investigation. Those items were the original contract which is bilateral and this contract will contain my original signature as well as the other party original signature, proof that this debt originated from my social security number and address with proper identification and Full audit compliant accounting on the balance AdAstra is claiming due, and documentation that they are authorized to collect on this debt, is there an agreement between you and the alleged Original Creditor. Considering AdAstra 's statements the documents originally requested were never sent to me. AdAstra is not within compliance with the FDCA or the FCRA with reference to investigating the debt because the investigation was NEVER conducted as confirmed in the company 's statement below. All investigations should be responded to within 30days and it clearly was not. Lack of this response from AdAstra, led to subsequent disputes with the Credit Reporting Agencies, alerting them that I NEVER received validation of debt from AdAstra. And seeing as how AdAstra NEVER conducted the investigation

Right to dispute notice not received
Complaint: I requested that the company provide the original contract that has my original signature, proof that this debt originated from my social security number and address with proper identification as well as accounting to show how they arrived at the amount that is shown on the notice and their agreement that they have the legal right to collect on the said debt. I requested this validation and to date I have not received this information. Instead or the information requested, I received the attached letter that states that Ad Astra is not going to provide this information because it was already provided when in fact it was never provided. This unverified, erroneous item is damaging my credit and the company has not provided the information requested for the questionable debt and this debt needs to be deleted. In addition, XXXX continues to notify the credit reporting agencies, deeming this item accurate with no proof. I looked up the policy for information with the said company XXXX and it clearly states that the information in which a customer can opt out of. I opted out of XXXX information sharing in XX/XX/XXXX due to multiple offers that I had been receiving and was not interested in a loan at that time. This is why I can not understand how Ad Astra is verifying ( or ) validating which ever term you set to use that this debt belongs to me. Remove the said item as you have NEVER investigated the item as I originally requested.
