False statements or representation

Debt collection: Payday loan debt

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: On XX/XX/2018, I sent Ad Astra Recovery Service a second letter regarding them verifying that a debt in the amount of {$330.00} belongs to me. They never validated the debt was mine according to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. The are falsely reporting this collection item on my XXXX and XXXX credit report. They only provided a print out of an itemized billing statement that does not have my signature on it. The FTC has issued an opinion letter on this subject and concludes that an itemized printout does not represent verification the debt belongs to me. They are falsifying information on my credit report, in which is illegal practices to me as a consumer. I asked this collection agency for the original contract I physically signed, that supposedly agree to the terms for the account and they never sent these records at all. I demanded proof or validation according to Fair Debt Collection Practice Act, and they never responded to me. This debt is unlawfully being reported on my credit report. I don't owe this debt and it should be deleted from my credit report.

Written notification about debt

Debt collection: Payday loan debt

Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Complaint: I received a credit alert on XX/XX/2018 that a new collection was reported as derogatory on my credit report. It shows AD ASTRA RECOVERY SERV. I am unaware of who that company is and I have requested VALIDATION of the debt but have not received anything. I have tried calling the company and only got the run around. According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Section 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ), they are required by federal law to verify - through the physical verification of the original signed consumer contract - any and all accounts you post on a credit report. Otherwise, anyone paying for reporting services could fax, mail or email in a fraudulent account. I demand to see Verifiable Proof ( an original Consumer Contract with my Signature on it ) you have on file of the accounts mentioned. Failure to positively verify these accounts has hurt my ability to obtain a home mortgage loan. Under the FCRA, unverified accounts must be removed and if AD ASTRA RECOVER SERV are unable to provide me a copy of verifiable proof, they must remove the account being mentioned immediately

False statements or representation

Debt collection: Payday loan debt

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: I assume no monetary responsibility for this alleged debt. Be advised this is not a refusal to pay, but a notice that your claim is hereby disputed and validation is requested. THE DEBT IS NOT MINES. On XX/XX/2018 I requested validation of this debt per Texas Finance Code and to be provide with : 1 ) Original Agreement that bears the HANDWRITTEN signature and/or ESIGN digital signature ID number of the alleged debtor wherein he/she agreed to pay the creditor. 2 ) The name and address of the original creditor 3 ) The original date of default or non-payment of the debt with original creditor 4 ) The date the debt was transferred from the original creditor to the third-party debt collector 5 ) The original balance 6 ) The current balance 7 ) Any fees added by your agency. Sec. 392.303 ( a ) ( 2 ) 8 ) Texas Surety bond information as required by Sec. 392.101 9 ) Agreement with your client that grants you the authority to collect on this alleged debt. 10 ) Any insurance claims been made by any creditor regarding this account. 11 ) Verification that this debt was assigned or sold to collector. 12 ) Complete accounting of alleged debt. 13 ) Commission for debt collector if collection efforts are successful As of date, Ad Astra has NOT provided the above documentation and continues to violate Texas law. On 7/10/2018 i received fake Loan Documents with my name typed in on the signature line and and Open End Loan History that did not support the amount they are try to collect ( see attached ). I did NOT receive a loan for {$860.00} from XXXX XXXX or Ad Astra Recovery. Per the documents provided, the documentation shows NO evidence of a {$860.00} loan was funded to me. The Open End History documents clearly indicates that {$380.00} was funded and {$470.00} was paid directly by me ( Allegedly ). Not {$1200.00} or {$860.00}. Ad Astra is tacking on their own collection fees and lying about it. Also, there is no loan number for the alleged {$860.00} loan. Again I assume no monetary responsibility of this alleged debt however, due to their own evidence the loan funded was PAID. AD Astra is breaking countless federal laws and Texas laws regarding the collection and reporting of this debt. I intended to exercise my right to the fullest.

Attempts to collect debt not owed

Debt collection: Payday loan debt

Debt was paid
Complaint: Ad Astra has repeatedly refused to give me an itemization of an alleged debt {$1100.00} and is reporting erroneous information to the Credit Bureaus. In XXXX of XXXX, I saw a collection on my credit report from Ad Astra Recovery Services. It showed the original creditor was XXXX XXXX. I called XXXX XXXX to inquire about the collection. The XXXX XXXX representative stated that it was due to non-payment of my loan. I stated that the loan had been paid in full. I then went to the XXXX XXXX store located XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX office where I made the pay-off payment and the manager on duty told me that she could not talk to me because my account was in collections with Ad Astra. I then went to the XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX where I initially set up the account and the manager gave me a printout statement of all the payments that had been made. This is when I first noticed the conflicting dates and erroneous payments. I went back to the Northern address and asked them to review the footage from the night they were paid in full and I was told they can't access the footage, only if XXXX XXXX is requested by law enforcement. In XX/XX/XXXX I returned to XXXX XXXX located at XXXX XXXX XXXX again requesting a copy of my signed contract and a itemization of the alleged debt. They stated that they could not give me any more details because the file had been transferred to Ad Astra. I asked if they had any documentation of my payments and the manager on duty XXXX XXXX, stated that all she had in her system was a receipt dated XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX XXXX and a receipt on XXXX to Ad Astra. I stated that I have never paid Ad Astra or XXXX XXXX on the XXXX of XX/XX/XXXX or in XXXX of 2018 Ironically XX/XX/XXXX is when I paid off the loan in full. XXXX also printed down a dispute letter from Ad Astra that I never received which stated that I defaulted on the loan within a month from signing up for it. On XX/XX/XXXX I contacted Ad Astra and told them that the loan had been paid in full at their XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX location in XXXX of XXXX at XXXX am. The female Ad Astra representative stated that XXXX XXXX has no 24 hour locations and they don't have on record that I paid anything on the loan. Ad Astra contradictory statements are as follows : 1. XXXX XXXX does in fact have 24 hour branches in the XXXX area verifiable on XXXX search. 2. I have bank statements proving XXXX XXXX withdrew regular payments from my account that conflict with XXXX XXXX payment statements. 3. I had no knowledge the alleged debt was sent to Ad Astra therefore I could not have paid Ad Astra, XXXX XXXX stated policy is not to discuss accounts turned over to collections. Please note it is possible bank fraud for XXXX XXXX to have record of an alleged payment to Ad Astra which the XXXX XXXX branch store has already submitted to me. I was transferred to an Ad Astra representative named XXXX. I asked about their communication with XXXX XXXX and I was told they do not call the branches directly. On the same XX/XX/XXXX phone call with XXXX I requested an itemization of the debt. On XX/XX/XXXX I spoke with an Ad Astra Manager who told me she had no record that I requested an itemization from XXXX who she called XXXX. She then stated she submitted my request for an itemization of the alleged debt and it would be mailed on on XX/XX/XXXX and I should receive it in 7-14 business days. I was not satisfied by Ad Astra handling of the matter thus far and on XX/XX/XXXX I also emailed Ad Astra President concerning this matter. As of XX/XX/XXXX I have received neither the requested itemization of the alleged debt or a response from the Ad Astra President. On XX/XX/XXXX I spoke with an Ad Astra representative named XXXX who said they would fax me the itemization of the debt in 24-48 hours. Ad Astra did not send the fax of the requested documentation. Ad Astra has failed to validate the alleged debt and is willfully reporting unverified information to the Credit Bureaus and is in violation Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) and Arizona Consumer Protection Laws.

Debt collection: Payday loan debt

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX a company name Ad Astra Recovery Services reported that I took out a loan for XXXX and agreed to pay it back in one month. Well I disputed this item ( s ) per XXXX credit bureau. A creditor has 30 days to reply to a dispute, This company did In 7 days durning the early month of XX/XX/XXXX clearly saying That I took out this loan for XXXX In XX/XX/XXXX & reported as a collection in XX/XX/XXXX. I phoned and also Electronically requested by ( e-mail ) a copy of a signed contract showing my hand signed signature agreeing to pay it back or that I even took out a loan for XXXX. Its reported to the credit bureau ( s ) as the original amount. I have tried very simple efforts to get them to either provide me with this agreement Or delete this from my credit report ( s ), Instead they updated my credit report ( s ) as accurate without providing me with any of the documentation I requested from them.
