Complaint: I became aware of this debt in XXXX, XXXX and I disputed it. I also filed complaints with the FTC and XXXX. I believe this account may be the result of identity theft. I have taken proper precautions to protect my identity. In my research I also found that the collection agency, Ad Astra Recovery Services, is in violation of the Texas Debt Collection Act by trying to collect and reporting this debt to the credit bureaus since they claim this debt was incurred in XXXX. This is yet another reason I am requesting this be removed immediately from my credit.

Complaint: I have contacted AD Astra Recovery and faxed my FTC affidavit to them twice XXXX and I have called to verify that they have received my fax and they did confirm but they wont stop reporting to the CRAs and this is what AD ASTRA Recovery told me to do, they told me in order for them to delete the account I have to call all 3 credit bureaus and tell them that I want to cancel my dispute so that they could delete the account! But little did I know this is a TRICK!! this collection company is sketchy!! how dare you try to still collect and trick me when this is a fraudulent account!!! I just want to say Thanks to XXXX they let me know what AD ASTRA Recovery was trying to get me to do!

Complaint: During lulls in work with my employer during the summer and fall of 2016, I sought help to keep other bills current by taking out loans against my vehicle and a personal loan backed by the vehicle. As things worsened I was unable to make the high-interest payments on the regular basis they wanted and sought some relief from the loan company. They gave a little relief on some of it, but a short time later XXXX XXXX repossessed my vehicle, selling it to settle my debts, but providing no documentation regarding the proceeds of the sale. They didn't provide any further details or overages, but then started collection action on the remaining loan. They later submitted the alleged balance to collection agencies, where it currently resides with AD Astra Recovery Services, which is currently reporting false or incomplete information, that doesn't show the original amount, doesn't show the payments I made, doesn't show that they may have been charging more than 200 % interest, nor that the loan should possibly have been paid off from proceeds from the sale of the vehicle. I believe that AD Astra 's reporting of this is in violation of my rights, since even if the alleged amount is correct, it is incomplete and misleading since I had made consistent payments to them, and is very negatively affecting my credit.

Complaint: I have attempted to inform Ad Astra Recovery Services , Inc for over 5 years that the debt they are reporting on my credit reports doesn't belong to me. I have constantly disputed the problem with all three credit bureaus, paid companies to dispute the debt on my behalf, and contacted the company directly. I sent letters for validation to Ad Astra Recovery Services , Inc. and the company sent a response stating the account was verified. However, the the debt letter they sent was addressed to XXXX XXXX, which is not me. On other forms the last name listed is not how my name is spelled, I did not live in Texas when the alleged debt was taken out, and the banking information listed is not mine and I've never had an account with the listed institution. No additional identifying information is provided to support that this debt belongs to me, including the lack of a telephone number. In addition to the issues I mentioned regarding the documentation Ad Astra Recovery Services , Inc provided indicating that the debt is not mine, there is no physical signature on the contract, which further confirms that the debt does not belong to me.
