Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX Dear XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ; American Honda Financial Services has sent a letter requesting payments for a XXXX XXXX XXXX Account # XXXX. The request to payments arrived from XXXX XXXX XXXX Account # XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX. The debt refers to a XXXX silver color XXXX XXXX vin # XXXX. Plates : XXXX. This vehicle was returned to XXXX XXXX XXXX, CA on XX/XX/XXXX and the status of the vehicle was MINT with the lowest mileage for a vehicle of that year. Disputes were not made in the status of the vehicle. American Honda notified me by certified mail the XXXX XXXX XXXX was sold and profit was made out of the vehicle. However, I never received any money back from the difference of the sales. Honda claimed they had applied the difference profit of the sales to any outstanding credit in that vehicle. At the time I handed the vehicle to XXXX XXXX XXXX, the payment was up to date. The monthly payments were paid every month. I later received a letter stating the vehicle was sold and profit was made. I signed a release of interest in that vehicle and was mailed to XXXX XXXX XXXX. At that point there should be no standing debts. However, I see Honda is using a collection services to collect debts that have been closed. Attached are the letters and evidences. XXXX XXXX XXXX seems not to have updated the credit to the Credit Bureaus and have kept me as a delinquent customer affecting obviously my credit records and credit scores. Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I called Honda financial services to find out why I had n't received my bill in the mail. When I called, an automated system came on and said " to hear about your XXXX XXXX XXXX, preemptively 1. To hear about your XXXX XXXX XXXX press 2 ''. This prompted me to request to speak with a representative, because I only purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX. When I spoke with the representative, I told her that I never purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX. She then looked into the case and informed me that someone else used my social security number to purchase a car. I told her this was impossible. This is fraud. I requested to speak with a manager, his name was XXXX XXXX. I explained the situation to him. At this point he had me send over a copy of my id and son card. He also requested the same from the other individual. Once he received the documents on XX/XX/XXXX, he contacted me and informed the both of us had the same sun number. I told him that is not possible. So he told me to go to Social Security Administration and request proof that the social security number only belonged to me. On XX/XX/XXXX, i went to the social security administration and informed that of what happened. They looked up my social security number and stated that the number only belonged to me and provided me with a letter of proof. I then faxed over this letter to XXXX XXXX. He called me and informed me that he received the letter from Social Security Administration, however, he told me he would not remove my social security number from this man 's car. So onXX/XX/XXXX, I went to the police station and filed a police report. A detective called me on XX/XX/XXXX to discuss the case with me. He informed me that the man that has been using my social security number was undocumented. He also gave me his name. He informed me that this man had been using my social security number for a while. After finding this out, I reached back out to honda financial services to speak with their fraud department. They sent me out an identity theft victims complaint and affidavit. I filled this out and sent it back to them. I also contacted lifelock and filled out one of their ID theft complaint and packet. I placed a security freeze on my social security number, however I was informed by the credit bureau that the credit freeze would not stop him from using my social security number since he is n't using my name. My mom and I spent countless days and hours trying to get honda to remove my social security number from his account. On XX/XX/XXXX, we got in contact with a XXXX XXXX XXXX He works for honda corporate office. He told me that he would do an investigation and would call us once it was done. On XX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX called and informed me that it was fraud and that XXXX XXXX would call and has the situation handled. XXXX XXXX called me on XX/XX/XXXX and told me that my social security number had been removed from the other individuals car. I requested a letter. He sent one to me. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called honda financial services to find out the time frame for me receiving my pink slip since my car would be paid off by XX/XX/XXXX. During the phone call, I spoke with a representative named XXXX and asked him if he could verify that my social security number was removed off the other car. He pulled the files and reviewed both cases. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX called me and told me that my social security number was number removed or unlinked from the car. I told him that I was told that it was removed from the other individual 's car. He stated that it was not and advised me to get a lawyer. I called honda financial services on XX/XX/XXXX to try again to see if they would remove my social security number from this man 's car. The supervisor told me that this was not grounds for them to remove my social security number from his car even though I provided them with the verifications ( two forms of verifications ) showing them that the social security number only belonged to me. She stated that the number will remain on his car. At this point I am very upset. I can not see how they could allow fraudulent activity. They are not willing to correct this issue. This man should not be allowed use my social security number. They allowed him to open an account with them using my social security number even though all the other factors such as name and birth date did not match. Please help me.

These accounts went into a charge off status and when I was made aware of these accounts, I diligently Made the necessary steps to correct these reports by paying the balance made the necessary steps to correct these reports my pay and the balances on these accounts, They are misrepresented on my credit report and all statuses pertain to in these reports by these creditors should reflect that these accounts are paid and they are not collections and they are not charge-offs. I am willing to work with anyone to make these corrections by any means they suggest

But she this car was purchased directly from.honda we also purchased gap insurance. Which covers the difference between what is owed and what insurance paid for. Honda financial has reported this account 120 delinquent and has now labeled it as a collection account and a chargenoff for there company which is highly inaaccurate.

This made an absolute terrible mark on my credit score. This trade in was nearly a month ago and since then the car has been paid off finally by the dealership on XXXX XXXX 2017. However American Honda finance has also never updated the report and they still show my account as being open although the car has been paid off which is still making a direct mark on my credit score

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I initiated a lease with XXXX XXXX XXXX for a XXXX XXXX XXXX. As part of the acquistion process I paid the XXXX sales tax for the portion of the purchase price I would be capitalizing. In XXXX of XXXX I relocated to XXXX XXXX. In conjunction with registering the car in XXXX I had to request a change in the title to reflect the new address. When XXXX processed the change, they began to collect a 10 % use fee in XXXX. The fee is appropriately collected for leases of vehicles delivered to XXXX residents for the first time, but is waived for individuals who have paid sales tax in another jurisdiction. To repeat, the only change to the title in XXXX was to reflect our new address, in XXXX. HFA has taken this 10 % each month with my automatic payment, which no has my account in a past due status. I have spoken with both the XXXX XXXX and the XXXX XXXX. of Taxation and Fianance and clearly this tax does n't apply when tax was paid in another jurisdiction. I have provided HFA with the following information from the District : XXXX Sales and Use Tax Monthly Return Booklet Imposition of use tax A use tax is imposed on the use, storage, or consumption of taxable tangible personal property and services in the XXXX, unless the purchaser has paid a sales tax on the purchase of the taxable tangible personal property or service to the District, or another tax jurisdiction in the United States ( US ) or to a US territory. A retailer that did not resell goods purchased under a resale certificate is liable for use tax for those goods used as complimentary gifts. For additional information see XXXX XXXX XXXX et seq. From the same booklet, XXXX is citing the following : Imposition of sales tax A person engaging in business in the XXXX must collect sales tax from the purchaser on : 1. Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, my younger brother XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in a car accident. The car that he was his own XXXX XXXX. The car was on a lease that I co-signed on. After the accident, the insurances that were involved paid off the balance of the car except for the deductible. We together signed the lease in XX/XX/XXXX in XXXX TX. In XX/XX/XXXX had moved away to XXXX. After the accident, Honda did not update my address to the XXXX address and was still sending letters to XXXX. Hey knew my new address because they were calling me non-stop at first when they were trying to collect on the insurance money and I had told them that I had moved to XXXX and gave them my new address. After Honda got most of the money owed to them from the insurance companies involved in the accident, they sent a delinquency letter my old XXXX address asking for the deductible that was still owed to them. Of course I never received that letter since I had moved away from XXXX. Then after some time, they sent my account to a collections agency by the name of XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XXXX XXXX of XXXX, the collections agency reached out to and asked me to pay the balance of {$270.00} and offered to settle for {$160.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX I paid the settled amount with the understanding that this would be taken off my credit report. Please see the collection letter and well as the resolution letter attached below. Also please see XXXX report snapshot below showing I do n't have anything due in the collections portion of the credit report. But even after I have paid and settled with XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX chooses to report my account as charged off and failed to pay after the settlement that. Please also see my credit card statement attached showing the settlement payment being drafted on XX/XX/XXXX from my XXXX XXXX account. When I went to my bank and applied for a business line of credit I found out my credit score had taken a hit. Then when I looked on my credit report I found out Honda had reported my account as charged off even after they I paid and settled as best I could and they knew where I lived, When I called XXXX XXXX XXXX they told me that I still owe approximately {$110.00} dollars to be settled in full with them. This was news to me because no one including XXXX XXXX XXXX told me I still owed any money. Instead, they told me everything was taken care of. I am willing to pay the {$110.00} but XXXX XXXX XXXX said that even if I pay that amount, the charge-off status will remain on my account for historical purposes. So even under such tragic circumstances and for such a small amount when clearly they sent letters to the wrong address after knowing my current address, XXXX XXXX XXXX is unwilling to take the charge-off status off my credit report. And that is why today on XX/XX/XXXX I would like to file a dispute against them.

I 've gotten a copy the cancelled check from my bank, XXXX XXXX. I faxed the copy to Honda Financial and they told me they could not read the back so unless I was able to get a better copy of the check back they would not help me. XXXX XXXX, my bank tells me Honda Financial kept the copy of my original check. Their bank stamped the back of the check. It should be their problem to read their banks stamp. If they wanted to run a scam they could not credit all of their customers accounts, have their bank do a poor job stamping the back of all checks and force all of their customers to keep paying without crediting. What a scam. I feel Honda Financial Services has stolen {$1000.00} from me and maybe others.

Complaint: I purchased a new motorcycle from Honda with Honda Financing for the loan in XX/XX/XXXX. I was fully covered with insurance for the vehicle and GAP insurance for the loan. The vehicle was totaled on XX/XX/XXXX. I notified Honda of this the following week. My monthly payments were about {$160.00}. My insurance company sent a check for over {$4000.00} to Honda, however, Honda said I was late making a payment. My GAP insurance sent Honda a check for the remainder of the amount owed on the loan. When I found out my credit score had negative remarks on it greatly lowering it, I called Honda. They told me that since I did not pay them {$160.00} that my account was delinquent. They said even though the insurance paid multi-thousands more than the {$160.00}, it did not count since it I did not make the payment. Both my auto insurance and GAP insurance have paid the total of the loan within a couple of months, however, my credit is still damaged because of Honda. I have been communicating with Honda and have submitted to them all the documatation they have requested as soon as I had them, as well as other documentation from the insurance companies that their money is on the way.

Complaint: Received paper statement in XXXX for XXXX 's bill, paid XXXX 's bill. Sometime in XXXX Honda Financial switched, without my knowledge at the time to electronic statements. Honda Financial stated the accounts were changed to online, my records showed that I was expecting paper statements as originally agreed upon in my terms and agreements with the lease. I did not receive a change to policy that my statements would be electronic, to this date I am told they are electronic but have no means to access this version of the statement. I have requested to be put back on paper statements in XXXX and my request has not been met to this date. I have contact Honda Financial on several occasions regarding these matters with the statements. Due to me not receiving these statements I missed XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX payments has caused issues with penalties and a severe impact on my credit score. Honda Financial made one attempt to contact my husband to make a payment, at which they did not state there name, or that they were on a recorded line, and did not provide a means to correct the missed payment. In addition we did not receive any past due notices ; written or electronic. I have since paid all these in full after having my vehicle reposed including fees, finance charges, toeing fees, lot fees, etc. I have attempted to negotiate with Honda Financial since they did not provide a resolution in the matters on the statements, and have not provided options or abilities to correct these errors which has caused penalties exceeded {$1000.00}. I do have copies of the total penalties and fees that have been assessed to this date. I have also been on time with payments since this issue occurred, but have yet to have any corrections done by Honda Financial. Honda Financial has continually ignored my requests to have paper statements, along with copies of the notices that I was past due in XXXX through XXXX. For specifics on dates, dollar amounts, and other information I have retained a physical copy of what has been assessed to date. I will be willing to provide a copy of this information for further details regarding total fees and penalties assessed. I would be able to fax these documents in since I do not have a scanner.
