Complaint: Received unsolicited mail from Amex offering XXXX signing bonus and other benefits. I applied under my name and not my husband and did not know I would not be honored the email offer. My card was approved and I have proof of their offer via mail. Amex does n't want to honor the XXXX to our account -my husband is on the card account with his own card. I still have not received, signed, activated or used the card and have notified Amex several times by phone, chat that I want them to honor the signing offer. Also have told them I wanted to be approved for the XXXX as I dont have an account per terms and conditions. They refuse to tell me how to file a claim, document my conversations in writing and/or honor the difference in points they offered us.

Complaint: I brought a XXXX XXXX airline ticket using my American express credit card for my dad. on the departure day, we went to the airport so my dad can take his flight. but the airline refused to issue him a boarding pass and never let him take the flight. so he could not use his tickets. I reached out to American express to resolve the dispute and get my money back. American express asked me to provide a written explanation of event and what happened. I provided the written letter 3 times now to the American express but every time, American express close my case without resolving it telling me that I never provided the written letter. every time I upload the docs to American express site, I reach out to American express and verified that they did received my letter. now after 4 months, the issue has still not been resolved and I am being billed again.

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX I applied for the America Express " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' card. I was declined with a credit score of XXXX as I am a XXXX building credit. I feel that the selective process in which America Express used to decide my creditworthiness was not fair. I am a XXXX XXXX in my late XXXX. Honestly, from my perspective, the credit industry as a whole is flawed to the point that it is a disgusting degenerate sore in our society. The percentage rates for people building credit are unfair to the point I feel like a third class citizen. This feels as if the credit industry has the right to be credit XXXX for the lack of a better term. I contacted American Express on XX/XX/XXXX at approximately XXXX XXXX. to dispute the declined status on my creditworthiness as I do not agree with it. American Express listed off several reasons why they declined my application for credit ; the most I took away was that my credit score of XXXX was not good enough, and the representative said those exact words.

We provide them information in writing that We did not hand over the AMEX credit card to our EX employee. it was left in Office Safety Box and we still have that Credit Card in our possession. At first they issued total amount {$4500.00} after we received a letter confirmed refund those amount but on XX/XX/XXXX they took those amount back and denied out claim. we mention that He may have made Duplicate Card. Complaint: I applied, and was approved for the XXXX XXXX XXXX Credit Card from American Express on XXXX XXXX XXXX. The card had a bonus offer of XXXX XXXX XXXX points after spending {$3000.00} on the card within the first 3 months. I completed this {$3000.00} spend by the end of the 3rd billing cycle XXXX XXXX XXXX the XXXX ). The agreement states the following : " XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX will be credited to your XXXX XXXX account 6-8 weeks after the spend requirement has been reached. '' It is more than 10 weeks since I completed this spend requirement and I have not still received the XXXX XXXX XXXX points bonus. I have called American Express 4 times regarding this, they have escalated this issue 3 times however they have not done anything about it. American Express has clearly violated their end of the agreement and I would greatly appreciate if the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau would help me settle this matter. Thank you very much.

Complaint: American Express customer service verified that using the " XXXX XXXX '' to purchase a major appliance would entitle me to extended warranty and buyer protections. Purchase was then made XX/XX/XXXX, delivered XX/XX/XXXX, multiple problems could not be corrected and retailer refused to return/refund. A Buyer protection claim was made to American Express that was diverted, refiled, then refused. The reason the claim was denied was that " payment was not paid in full with card ''. I had used a {$XXXX} gift card with a {$XXXX} purchase. The " fine print '' of my credit card agreement said the opposite, that claim would be limited to portion of purchase made with card, Then I checked the fine print further. My denial letter had some VERY FINE PRINT at the bottom giving a Web site americanexpress.com/XXXX. Unlike the original list of 10 reasonable exclusions, this listed 28 below are so exclusive, I consider this FRAUD and MISREPRESENTATION as I ca n't think of any ordinary item that would not be excluded. Complaint: I received an offer over a phone call from American Express Credit Card agent, XXXX ( Employee ID number : XXXX ) on XX/XX/XXXX The offer is, I can get XXXX Amex Membership Rewards points if I add an authorized user and spend over {$500.00} within in 3 months. I met all requirements but have not received the MR points so far as advertised. I contacted the AMEX customer service and submitted complaints through chatting and phone numerous times. One of the chatting reference number is XXXX. I even chatted with a supervisor onXX/XX/XXXX ( complain number : XXXX ) but It has been more than 8 weeks. Complaint: Transaction ID : XXXX Comptroller of Currency XXXX XXXX, 2017 Copy of letter to Bank Officers Hello,. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is attempting to release an authorization/hold on customer 's card for a car rental that is paid in full. The hold should not be there as the company was already paid. XXXX wants the inappropriately held funds released. Details : 1- The car rental was in the name of card holder 's spouse. The amount paid in full via customer 's AMEX SERVE was {$620.00}. The additional amount inappropriately being held is {$490.00}. 2- Card holder contacted AMEX Serve Customer service. Both the customer service person and the manager understood the problem, but stated that even though the authorization/hold should be immediately released, their automated system prevented them from doing so. They provided the release number of # XXXX to XXXX XXXX. XXXX said everything is released on their side, and that the date should be changed on the hold -- to today ( XXXX XXXX, 2017 ). 3- Again, XXXX XXXX indicated that the date of the transaction should be changed and the funds immediately released as they have been paid already. They offered to third party call in to AMEX to resolve the matter this morning. XXXX XXXX offered to fax AMEX Serve a cancellation document, or call Amex Serve directly to release these funds ( {$490.00} ). Again, AMEX customer services simply reiterated their policy. 4- I am writing to you for your help today to release my funds. For a working person, these inappropriately held fund are the difference between paying rent and eating, and literally being hungry. I tried to get in touch with XXXX XXXX as well. This is a unique situation where the merchant has already been paid. The merchant is attempting to cancel the authorization. And the merchant is attempting to contact AMEX to resolve the matter this morning. Thank you for your help. Card Holder.
