Complaint: I applied for a American Express XXXX XXXX card with a XXXX XXXX points bonus after {$3000.00} of spend in the first 3 months of the card being issued. My credit application was approved and card was issued on XX/XX/XXXX I met the spending of {$3000.00} in XX/XX/XXXX. Statement closed on XX/XX/XXXX. I have yet to see the points posted to the account. Have spoken to Amex representatives several times and they do not know why the points have not posted and have opened a case. They keep telling me that the points will post 6-8 weeks after meeting the spend. It has now been 11 weeks and no one can tell my why the points have not posted. They say they have opened a case and it 's ongoing ...

Complaint: My wife, XXXX XXXX XXXX, has an account with American Express Bank, FSB ( acct # XXXX ) for which I, XXXX XXXX XXXX was designated as P.O.D. Beneficiary. XXXX XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I called American Express Bank, FSB to report XXXX ' ; XXXX XXXX. I spoke with XXXX who told me to mail and/or fax a copy of the XXXX XXXX and a letter of instruction. The fax did not answer, so I mailed the XXXX XXXX and letter of instruction. XXXX informed me that it would take 7 to 10 days to process my request. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I placed a follow-up call to American Express Bank, FSB and spoke with XXXX who informed me that I would be receiving an Affidavit of Identity that I would need to take to my local bank, sign, and have notarized. XXXX again informed me that it would take 7 to 10 days to process my request. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX I sent American Express Bank, FSB the Notarized Affidavit of Identity with another letter of instruction. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I called American Express Bank FSB to follow up on this matter. I spoke with XXXX who informed me that it would take 7 to 10 days to process my request. ( it had been 17 days since I mailed the last letter. It is now XXXX XXXX, XXXX and I still have not received my Money. I am enclosing 14 documents outlining my travails. They are : 1, 2, 3 - American Express Bank, FSB statement of XXXX XXXX, XXXX, 4 - My notes from the XXXX conversation with XXXX, 5 - a copy of the failed fax report, 6 - a copy of my letter of instruction of XXXX, 7 - My notes from the XXXX conversation with XXXX, 8 - A copy of a letter I received from American Express Bank, FSB, 9 - a copy of my letter of instruciton of XXXX, 10 - a copy of the Signed and Notarized Affidavit of Identity, 11 - My notes from the XXXX conversation with XXXX, 12, 13, 14 - American Express Bank, FSB statement of XXXX XXXX, XXXX.

Complaint: I got an email offer for getting XXXX after {$5000.00} spend on XXXX XXXX 2017. I enrolled in the offer on XXXX XXXX 2017 and got a confirmation email shortly after I was enrolled. Then I spent some time completing the spending requirements. During this time I got couple more emails reminding me to put spend on this card to get the bonus points. However, I did n't get any bonus points after I completed the spending. I called American Express to submitted a claim regarding my missing rewards. Then I was told that the deadline for enrolling is XXXX XXXX, 2017, which I missed ( expiration date for enrollment was written on the side with smaller font, easy to miss ). However, I did n't get multiple confirmation email after my enrollment. I understand that I should be enrolled within the time frame to get the offer, but it is clearly American Express ' mistake to send out multiple confirmation email to remind to spend the required amount. Thus, I feel I should be rewarded for the offer. I talked to a couple rep from American Express, but they all refused to help me. I 've put a lot of my everyday spend on this card and always appreciate the good customer service from American Express. But I have to say that this experience is such a disappointment to me.

Complaint: My husband and I found out we had our identities stolen after applying for a home equity loan at the end of XX/XX/XXXX. Several new credit card accounts were opened, as well as existing accounts were compromised by someone using our sensitive personally identifying information. We immediately notified every account that was affected and sent out a copy of our FTC Identity Theft Affidavit along with the formal police report. After a few months we were able to get most of the fraudulent debt cleared from our names. I had an account with American Express that was not being used and was compromised. I called them on XX/XX/XXXX, to inform them the account was compromised, I asked them to shut the account immediately and requested documentation such as a list of transactions that occurred. I also asked them to block the account from my credit report. About two weeks later I received a duplicate copy of the statements. The thief changed my account to paperless billing and had them sent to an e-mail account that I do n't use. I reviewed all of the statements and highlighted every transaction that was not mine. On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent the highlighted statements along with a formal dispute letter with my identity theft affidavit and police report via certified mail. On XX/XX/XXXX I noted in my follow up folder that I still had not received a response from American Express. Around XX/XX/XXXX I started receiving collection calls from XXXX XXXX. From that point on my Brother, Mother and myself would receive phone calls from the collection agency every day, several times a day. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a collection letter from XXXX XXXX stating the " past due '' debt had been sold to them for collection. I sent a certified letter to them the next day stating the debt was fraudulent. This collection agency didnt even allow me the 30 days required by law to respond to their letter of collection. When XXXX XXXX ceases their collection services and hands the account back to American Express I start receiving collection letter from the creditor. After a few months they sell the debt to XXXX XXXX in XXXX. I send a letter to XXXX advising them of the situation. The debt goes back to American Express. I receive more collection letters from American Express from XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX. Now it is XX/XX/XXXX and I just received a collection letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX collection agency. I just sent them a letter advising this is fraudulent debt. I am tired of getting harassed by American Express and the multiple collection agencies they use when I didnt create this mess and I am not responsible for the debt. They must be violating my rights under FCRA and I need some assistance to get them to stop and clear my name. They keep ignoring my letters and sending the fraudulent debt off to different collection agencies each time I send out a new letter. I feel as if I am being harassed. I am the victim here. I work hard to pay my bills and have an excellent credit score. American Express ' negligence is stopping me from getting credit when I need it. I take care of my Mother and her health is failing. I needed to get a loan to help her get into Assisted Living. One place denied me because of American Express and the negative reporting.

Complaint: I opened up an AMEX Platinum credit card account in XX/XX/XXXX. The card has an annual fee of {$550.00}. The offer I accepted included XXXX points to be added to my account if I spent more than {$5000.00} on the card in the first three months of use. I exceeded that amount easily. It is now approaching six months since I first opened the account and the XXXX points have still not been added to my account. I have made multiple phone calls to AMEX, the latest on XX/XX/XXXX. I also had a " chat '' communication with AMEX on that same date. Each time I have contacted AMEX I am told to wait 6-8 weeks but they, as of today, still have n't done anything about adding the points to my account. I have attempted to make contact with the department that handles the points but have been told that I can not speak to them. The AMEX Platinum card, one of the so-called " premium '' credit cards, has a steep annual fee of {$550.00}. You would think that AMEX would be a little more proactive in honoring the deal they offered. They sure were n't shy about collecting the {$550.00} on the very first statement.

Complaint: American Express has made several attempts to debit money from my account. I have had to have my bank block all transactions from them in order to stop it. I DO NOT have and American Express card nor do I have any business with them. They have been trying to debit this money without my knowledge or consent. I have contacted them twice, they have not resolved the issue. They claim they are doing an " internal investigation '' into the matter, but have attempted to debit the money again while it was supposedly being investigated. I have had to pay a fee to the bank in order for them to block transactions from American Express.

Complaint: Hi, Summary - All my credit cards went to Past Due/ Charge Off/Closed/ Collection statuses for no fault of mine.I never had any derogatory marks on my credit score/history in the past but, unfortunately in the past couple months everything changed and started receiving collection notices. One of the company named " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' approved me a special purpose loan and promised in the agreement that they will take care of all the credit card debt I owe to the banks.As per the agreement each month I have to pay " XXXX XXXX '' a low fixed interest rate for all the debt I owe to creditors ( The payment includes the total Credit Debt $ + Lower interest rate ). I was asked NOT TO PAY a single Penny to credit card companies from the day I signed the agreement with XXXX XXXX XXXX as they are taking ownership of the debt. Once I signed the agreement I started paying 600 $ + to this company every month from XX/XX/2016. I did make the payments to this company for almost a year but, it never paid a single penny to the creditors. I did follow up with the company asking the status and I was always told that the debt validation is in progress and takes some time. Recently, the company was sued for fraudulent claims and promises and all the website info, contacts no longer exists. I have no clue whom to contact and how to get this resolved. ( Reference Link - https : //www.ftc.govXXXX ) For all this time as the company " XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX' never made any payments to the creditors, creditors started reporting it to credit bureaus and now all my accounts are in collection phase. I called the banks/creditors and tried explaining the situation but, they said they have no alternatives except the collection of the " DEBT ''. This made me go into financial crisis. I have no clue what to do and how to proceed. All this happened for no fault of mine. I want all the collection notices, derogatory marks on my credit report to be taken off. I even disputed the credit reports with all the credit bureaus but, no good happened everything was same and no changes made.

Complaint: I signed up for the AMEX Starwood Preferred Guest Business credit card. I applied for the card on XX/XX/XXXX and was approved by XX/XX/XXXX. The promotional terms of the offer was XXXX SPG points for a minimum spend requirement of {$8000.00}. I put a {$20000.00} charge on the credit card and payed the balance off in full on XX/XX/XXXX. I received approximately XXXX SPG points for the charge I put on the card. However, the bonus points of XXXX SPG points never posted to my account. I have opened numerous inquires with AMEX and they keep insisting it will " be another 6-8 weeks to complete the investigation '' I have spent several hours communicating over online chat with AMEX. Attached is a confirmation with an AMEX representative confirming the bonus spend and terms were met and a receipt of payment from AMEX.

This card is tied to my personal account and is not a new account with American Express. This is verified on their website and pre their representative. One week after getting the additional card, American Express added the account to my wife 's credit report as a new account with an outstanding balance! But, it is not her account and she is not liable for the balance due or the monthly payments due. American Express needs to remove this information from her credit report.

Complaint: I made two purchases under {$75.00} and am being charged high interest on old balance plus high finance charges on purchases and current balance XX/XX/2017. I have always been timely with payments and believe interest rate is too high and also finance charge is too high. I asked many times for lower interest rate because I have moved to a state ( Illinois ) where the cost of living is high and income is lower than when I was given this credit in CA.
