Complaint: I am in the process of trying to buy a home. I had received an eviction letter from where i am currently renting so i reached out to American Express to see if it was possible to discuss payment options. I was advised by the representative that they would push my payment date back by 14 days and it would not report late on my credit report as long as i had paid it by the XXXX. It had reported late before the XXXX of this month. I reached out to American Express quite a few times on trying to get this resolved. I was provided 2 different numbers. The representatives mention they are going to try to help and the following numbers provided to me was a Credit Bureau Unit team - XXXX and the other number i think is customer service but it was XXXX. When i would call i was told that group could not assist me and to call the other number. I was getting bounced back and forth. I tried chatting online a few times about it as well and via social media but was advised to call those numbers. I did pay both of my cards in full before the XXXX which was the date that was advised by a rep i had chatted with.

Complaint: When I signed up for an American Express card, I was told over the phone that the annual interest rate would be 16.99 %. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I was charged approximately {$36.00} dollars in interest in two separate interest charges, an amount that seems significantly higher than what should be, according to the original terms. Despite my multiple requests, American Express representatives who I contacted on XXXX XXXX, XXXX refused my request of a formal audit, not only to look at this calculation, but other months in which I may have been overcharged. The refusal to investigate further leads me to suspect that there may be other aspects of this that are unfair or in violation of laws. Can you audit my American Express account since they refuse to?

Complaint: I was offered a XXXX XXXX " Gold ' Credit Card back in XXXX of XXXX. As a part of the promotion, XXXX was to issue 60 thousand bonus miles after I spent {$1500.00} ( within 3 months of issuance. ) I have met all requirements on the month of XXXX. While I expected bonus miles to be credited to my account at the end of XXXX, XXXX representative whom I have spoken notified me that it usually takes 4 to 6 weeks. So I waited until the end of XXXX and reached back at XXXX as I have not received it. I was told to wait another 4 weeks. After not seeing the bonus miles in my XXXX statement, I reached out to XXXX once again, only to be told that there is a technical issue and I must wait 6 more weeks. On XXXX XXXX, I was " in writing '' informed that bonus miles would hit my account as of XX/XX/XXXX. And once again I have not received them. So I called on XX/XX/XXXX, where I was told by the rep. that she was manually overriding the system and I would have my miles within 24 hours, as well as an additional 2 thousand for my troubles.
And of course I once again did not receive them so I reached back and I was told to wait for 2 weeks!

Complaint: This collection agency by the name of XXXX XXXX XXXX currently has a debt under my name from American Express. I called on X/XX/2017 at XXXX to make a deal on paying this account in full and spoke to the Manager who did not reveal his name. I asked him if I had the option to pay this account online or via phone by making partial payments. He told me I did not have the option to pay the balance I owe online and that I had to make a one-time lump sum payment through the phone. I tried to reason with this agent and told him that I was only able to make partial payments towards paying off the balance but once again I was unsuccessful in coming to a convenient and reasonable payment arrangement. I ended the call by thanking him.

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I signed up for promotion offer XXXX, spend {$2000.00} and receive XXXX bonus Member ship Reward points. I use several offers with American Express and they usually post a few days after meeting the requirements. On XX/XX/XXXX I received an email stating Thank you for using your American Express Card ending in XXXXX for XXXX Membership Rewards Points Bonus offer. You will have successfully redeemed the offer if your purchase meets the terms of the offer. The purchase or in this case, purchases did indeed meet the terms of the offer. I still have not received the XXXX bonus MR points.

Complaint: I signed up for an Amex Credit card that was supposed to award me XXXX XXXX XXXX miles after spending at least {$300000.00} and {$100.00} statement credit after the first purchase with XXXX Airlines.
My first purchase with this credit card ( on XXXX XXXX, XXXX ) was two XXXX air tickets, but I 've not received my {$100.00} statement credit yet.
Furthermore, I reached the {$3000.00} minimum purchase threshold on XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX more than XXXX weeks ago ) and, similarly, I have not received my XXXX XXXX Skymiles miles yet.
According to the terms of service, the {$100.00} statement credit should have been posted XXXX weeks after the XXXX purchase and the XXXX Skymiles miles should have been posted XXXX weeks after hitting the {$3000.00} spending threshold. This was confirmed by a chat I had with Amex XXXX on XXXX XXXX XXXX ). There have been more than XXXX weeks I did the first XXXX purchase and more than XXXX weeks I hit the {$3000.00} spending threshold.
I have already contacted Amex several times by chat and every time they asked me to wait ( this week, the last time I talked to them, they said there was a glitch on the system and that I should get my miles soon ).
This has been extremely inconvenient. I was planning to use the miles in a trip I will take soon and Amex is messing up with my plans.
I am attaching the XXXX statement ( where you can see that my first purchase was a XXXX purchase ) and the XXXX statement ( as you can see, I reached the minimum {$3000.00} purchase by XXXX XXXX XXXX. Also, I am attaching screenshots of a chat I had with Amex in XXXX XXXX ( where they confirmed that the deadline for the {$100.00} statement credit is 8-12 weeks and the deadline for getting the miles is XXXX-8 weeks )

Complaint: I received a referral from a friend for the American Express XXXX XXXX XXXX card, which offered XXXX miles if you spent {$1000.00} in the first 3 months and have never received a bonus on the card ( I have not XXXX. In short, I did n't get the bonus - but they have admitted to me that it is indeed owed to me but nobody is able to make the adjustment. I followed their process, but it has now been like 4 months with multiple deadlines passed that they gave me for resolution. I waited the first XXXX weeks for the bonus to post, it never did. I contacted them to open a case to research, which they told me would be XXXX weeks. The result of that is they closed it and admitted I fulfilled the offer, however they identified a large number of accounts that the bonus failed to post to. They told me it would be resolved in XXXX days. That deadline was earlier this week. When I contacted them, they said they are n't sure why I did n't get it but would open up another case and I would know more in XXXX weeks. I would like your help to get these bonuses paid out, for myself and everyone else. Waiting XXXX months is not right when they have admitted that they owe them to me.

Can't use card to make purchases
Complaint: I opened an XXXX XXXX card to build and outfit a XXXX store location and after 2 years of making payments on time and have XXXX issues with the company, they decreased my spending power from a {$20000.00} limit to the amount I owed, {$14000.00}. I currently have automatic payments scheduled. No good reason, no excuse, just a demand for half the amount due XXXX {$7000.00} XXXX before they 'd reinstate my normal limit. I have never missed a payment, always more than the amount due and until my store opened I always paid in full, tens of thousands lump sum payments. They had no response as to why have a {$20000.00} limit if it ca n't be approached. It seems I am not the only business owned they have done this to after finding reviews.This has crippled my new business to the point of failure if it does n't get resolved immediately. This is nothing short of extortion.
My credit card bills can be submitted to you in another fashion, it would't upload the entire file. I selected a few for review.

Complaint: complaint # 1 XX/XX/XXXX During the recession, I was unable to pay this account with American Express . The last payment was XX/XX/XXXX. The company and I have come to NO agreement or terms to settle this account nor have they offered to reopen in good standing. They have submitted reporting 5 years after last payment stating the account is closed and charged off as of XX/XX/XXXX. This is unfair to me and only reflects XXXX abusing the statute of limitations and 7 year consumer protection stating that any bad debt will drop off after 7 years. They are prolonging this by waiting 5 years to report.

Complaint: I applied for an American Express XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) credit card that was supposed to come with a XXXX XXXX point sign up bonus. I applied 6 months ago and met the terms for the sign up bonus about 5 months ago. I have still not received the points. I have called several times ; the last time I was told the points would be expedited to my account the next business day. A month later, I still do not have them. I have not been able to book planned vacations using the points on both the XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX because they have not come through yet. American Express simply says they are aware of the issue but they can not give me a resolution date. Now I am turning to the CFPB for help.

Complaint: I have a AMEX card that came with a points bonus for spending so much money within a time frame. However after two months without getting my bonus points I am fed up.I have called and spoke to reps online to no avail ... I keep getting the same answer that they are having technical issues, which is XXXX. I completed my end of the contract but they are not honoring there part of the contract, this is a classic breach of contract. My most recent contact came today ( XXXX/XXXX/XXXX ). I completed my end of the contract in XXXX and I should have gotten the bonus at the end of XXXX.

Complaint: I placed an order online with my American Express serve card. I mismatched the billing and shipping addresses and placed the order however the order never went through the money was still put on hold. It 's really important to me that I can correctly place this order as soon as possible but there is absolutely no customer support for the American Express serve card to help relieve the hold. If there was someone I could explain the situation to then I know they would be able to take care of the situation but there 's nobody but a menu to greet you when you call or get transferred for customer support.

Complaint: My identity was part of The XXXX breach. I have contacted XXXX and was alerted that I have a fraud alert and I believe that I may have been impacted by this recent breach. I have several inquiries that I 'm unaware of and believe they have been placed on my account without my consent. The inquiries are going to be attached to this report. This is very disturbing and I have contacted Better Business Bureau, FTC, & I have gone down to the bank to file suit against XXXX and the companies listed on my report. I notice that these inquiries we 're reported to XXXX, XXXX, & XXXX. At this time I am very XXXX off that my information has been leaked and have been used. Now I 'm not sure what to do and do n't trust to many people. It is very stressful to know your personal information is out every where and it 's a shame that we have these issues in a country where security is suppose to be used for things like this. Complaint: I made a purchase to XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX for a T-Shirt with my Bluebird by American Express Card in the amount of XXXX, I did not receive the merchandise. I notified Bluebird about this and filed a dispute for the charges on XX/XX/XXXX. I was advised that if the dispute could not be resolved within 10 day that Bluebird would issue a credit. As of today 's date XX/XX/XXXX the credit still has not me issued. I made a call to them inquiring where my credit was and was advised that if the merchant refuses to issue a credit back to my card then they ca n't help me.
