Problem with rewards from credit card
Complaint: With XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX preferred Card.
I opened my account on XX/XX/XXXX. I was seeing 2 offers at that time, first one is {$150.00} back when spending XXXX first 3 months, the other one is {$250.00} back when spending XXXX first 3 months. Apparently I clicked on the wrong link, even though I thought I saw {$250.00}, but then they told me " no, it was XXXX offer I saw. '' I had screenshot the offer from XX/XX/XXXX. Please see the attachment image from XX/XX/XXXX.
Then no long after I applied, they changed to XXXX back with first year fee {$95.00} waived, XXXX, it is very close to the offer I initially saw. I called the customer service again to ask if they could waive my XXXX fee instead, since it is the offer now. Both the customer Rep and her supervisor told me there was no way the fee would be waived.
My boyfriend heard the story, he felt bad, since he was the one who referred me to open the account ( which he should have gotten his referee fee, they could n't credit him either, because I clicked on the wrong link ). My boyfriend called in from his account and phone number, we gave the Customer Rep authorization to look into my account, she said she talked to her supervisor and was able to credit me the {$95.00} intro fee in 2-7 days. That was on XX/XX/XXXX.
9 days passed, I did n't see any credit amount on my statement, I called in again. Same thing, the lady told me she talked to her supervisor, there was no way to credit me the intro fee {$95.00}. My boyfriend got annoyed, he called in again. So it turned out they credited him the {$95.00} intro fee because he 's been with Amex for a while. How ironic!!!
However, as first time female customer, I was not able to get fee waived at all because I clicked the wrong link. First of all, why would they show 2 different offers at the same day same exact time, just because I clicked the wrong link, I did n't get XXXX offer. Then Why was my boyfriend got intro fee waived after being a long term customer, and I was not. He called in on my behalf anyways, ironically Amex waived him the fee.
So he ended up telling the customer Rep to transfer {$95.00} from his account to mine since he felt bad what happened to me. The unfair treatment to Amex customers! I felt ashamed by how Amex handled my situations.
I have contacted Amex through chat, phone twitter multiple times ( at least 8 times ), I could n't get any credit or fees waived. My boyfriend called in once- got his intro fee waived even he was calling on my behalf, oddly enough.

Complaint: This company is in direct violation of 15 U.S.C 1693 ( f ) and FDIC 6000- Consumer Protection ; TITLE VI - ELECTRONIC TRANSFERS 908 Error Resolution and have refused to pay the Treble Damages demanded for failure to conduct a good faith investigation, provide in writing and results of any investigation and determination within ten business days and still have failed to do so, they have failed to mail any findings or reproduce any documents they used to determine their findings, they have failed to provided the verifed, certified and complete transaction history I requested within ten days. These are all direct volations of this consumer protection title vi - electronic transfer 908 error resolution. I received a bill from this company and went online and paid them three times each amount was for {$2200.00} they stated that no account was found. I faxed them a letter of dispute and requested an audit be conducted and asked them to provide me all documents included the verified, certified and complete transaction history of my account within 10 days ( based off the EFT Act ) or Treble Damages of 3 times the amount of each payment submitted would apply. The company failed to provide any documentation requested nor did they complete a good faith investigation within the 10 day period and provide the documentation from that. By failing to do so this is a violation of the act stated above and I am entitled to the damages requested that come to the amount of {$20000.00}. They also failed to produce their W-9 form as requested on 10 occassions. they also knowingly and willfully concluded that my account was not in error when such conclusion could not reasonably have been drawn from the evidence available to the financial institution at the time of its investigation as they had produced no such documentation to support that finding and this was all done AFTER the 10 days in which they had and also not until I told them I would be filing complaints with the FTC, FDIC, and CFPB. I sent a demand letter for the damages in which they ignored.

Complaint: This is about the third time I have been denied a card ( that according to my credit service should have been approved based on my income/credit ) by American Express the past few years. I usually am given a glib response as the purpose, and have not pursued the matter. However, in my latest denial ( dated XXXX XXXX, XXXX ), the true reason came out. The reason stated is that " ... we can not approve your application at this time because American Express cancelled your previous account ( s ) ''.
American Express cancelled my cards in XXXX or XXXX after I filed Chapter XXXX bankruptcy. That was 19 years ago. They are using the fact that I exercised my right to file bankruptcy. I would understand the decision if I had only filed recently, but this is ridiculous and is a tactic being used to punish me for exercising a right I have under the law.

bc of thier wreckless actions I am unable to open several thousand dollars worth of SECURED credit.
I pay my bills have been slandered by others. I want an AMEX bc THEY issue and can replace the card, no nonsence XXXX.
there is no other way to contact amex unless your a member or a XXXX robot. this is growing trend and is illegal. furthermore I demand thier fax info to prove my citizenship, which is more than XXXX will do.

Complaint: I applied for the Delta Gold Amex card on XX/XX/XXXX17 with a promise of XXXX Delta miles and {$50.00} statement credit for Delta purchases after the card is approved and {$3000.00} spend is completed. The requirement for the bonus has been completed over 12 weeks and the miles have not been posted to my Delta account or even the {$50.00} statement credit did not post to my account after a Delta purchase. I opened a case with them 8 weeks back and they keep saying that they know of the issue and are still researching it.

Complaint: Card : American Express XXXX Preferred Guest Card Opened account in early XXXX XXXX, when XXXX had a promotional account opening reward bonus of XXXX SPG point, with certain spending requirement.
Here 's my statement amount for the first several months : XXXX : {$390.00} XXXX : {$7900.00} XXXX : {$1700.00} Those amount should easily cover the spending requirement. But I have never got my rewards. So I contacted XXXX 3 times, once in XXXX, twice in XXXX. I 've been getting the same answer every time.
The " official '' answer is : this is a known issue and we 've been investigating it. You will get your reward soon. That 's XXXX.
I 've no where to file a complain so hopefully you guys could help out here.

Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: I have a Business Gold Rewards Card from American Express. American Express provides customers " Amex Offers '' that are discounts and credits for making certain purchases at merchants. One of these offers I added to my account ( approximately XX/XX/XXXX ) was for {$25.00} credit back to my account if I spent {$120.00} or more on one or more purchases at XXXX by XXXX XXXX, 2017. On XX/XX/XXXX, before making the purchases at XXXX, I went to my American Express account and double checked the offer was still added to my account. It was. On XX/XX/XXXX, I went ahead and made the appropriate purchases ( {$50.00} and {$75.00} ) at XXXX using the appropriate credit card. Four days later I checked my American Express account and noticed that the credit did not post to my account. So I initiated an online chat with American Express, asking them when the {$25.00} credit would post to my account. After 30 minutes of checking, the American Express agent said that the offer was not properly enrolled to my account and I would not get the {$25.00} credit. The agent asked me to provide a screenshot of the offer to prove I added it to my account. Flabbergasted, I asked the agent if Amex now requires customers to take screenshots each time they interact with their account because Amex 's computer system can not be trusted? The agent offered to start an internal investigation into the matter, which would take 6 to 8 weeks. I found this resolution not appropriate. I was transferred to a manager who repeated the same as the previous agent. The manager said he could not manually credit my account the {$25.00} because of policies. I asked the manager if Amex requires customers to take screenshots of when they make changes to their account and said while it is not required, it would be helpful. I told them their investigation is purely away to wash their hands of a computer system error. I said the appropriate resolution would be to manually credit {$25.00} to my account AND make an investigation. The manager also said that when I added the XXXX Amex Offer to my account I should have received an email confirmation. This is further proof their computer system is problematic. Over the last year I have added more than a dozen Amex Offers to my account and approximately 30 % of the time I get an email confirmation when I add an offer ; the other 70 % of the time there is no email confirmation but I do see it online when I log into my American Express account. I ask American Express to credit my account the {$25.00}. From now on when dealing with American Express I will take screenshots of each action I take online. I can not trust them.

Complaint: I opened an account with American Express in XX/XX/XXXX. It was agreed that I would receive an available balance of {$5000.00} and I would repay at least the minimum payment on time. I did not activate this card until the spring of XX/XX/XXXX. I registered online and everything was fine. I began using the card in XX/XX/XXXX. My wife 's brother was XXXX XXXX and we went to Alabama to see him one more time. We had spent close to {$2000.00} and I went online after we returned to make sure we did n't exceed 33 % of available balance so we did n't affect our credit. We had n't so I made a payment of {$100.00} which was much more than the minimum payment. We are going to Oregon in XXXX and were going to use the card for that trip. I logged into my account to check the balance and to my surprise American Express had lowered my available balance from {$5000.00} to {$2000.00}. Because of their actions my credit will take a hit next reporting period and I do n't have the available funds for our trip. I have done nothing to cause this to happen. I 've never been late on a payment, matter of fact there 's only been one payment due and I payed more than what was due! I thought an agreement was an agreement. Binding on both parties not just one. I want American Express to restore my available balance back to the agreed to amount. What they have done is at least incredibly poor business practice if not illegal.

Complaint: I this am just called once again American Express to try and negotiate the APR rate on my account. I did indeed call again on Friday evening ( XX/XX/XXXX, late ) to try and negotiate the APR rate. To my frustration I have gotten no result at all. On Friday evening XX/XX/XXXX was the first evening I had spent at my address since the Hurricane of Irma. Having no experience with hurricanes the stress of same is the same as trying to negotiate an APR rate with American Express. I have been with Amex for so many years and I have always paid my bills on time until a few years ago, when I was laid off from my job. I did somewhat land on my feet if you will, and the balance is higher than I would like it to be and if I could afford to send them more, I would and they know that too, but I can not. XXXX is a killer and the XXXX of a hurricane and then this complaint are enough to kill anyone and I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE MORE OF WHAT I PRESENTLY SEND TO AMEX A CREDIT TO MY NAME AN OPPOSED TO THEIRS.
