Complaint: On XX/XX/2016, a check for {$200.00} was withdrawn from my Wells Fargo checking account. I believe that check was not written or my husband and demand to be reimbursed for {$200.00} unless Wells can prove one of us wrote it. The number on the check is # XXXX, which was far out of sequence. Another check that cleared the same day was # XXXX. I called Wells Fargo customer service on Saturday, XX/XX/XXXX, to ask to get a copy of this check, because when I click on the image of the check online, it says the check was not available. The other check that cleared the same day was available online. I spent more than an hour on the phone with four different customer service reps. The first one passed me to the second one, without informing the second one of the nature of my call. The third one said I would need to pay {$25.00} per hour for Wells to research this, which is absurd because it is Wells Fargo 's fault the check is not available online. The fourth " executive '' rep said I should go to the branch and they could get a copy. Doubtful, I asked that person to call the branch to make sure they could do it before I wasted any more time. She called and the he branch said no they could not get it, so I am glad I saved myself the trip. The fourth agent said she could not help me because it was a Saturday, but promised to have someone call me on Monday, XX/XX/XXXX. No one called me on Monday, or any other day this week. So now I am at wits end. I do n't know what else to do. Maybe the CFPB can help.

Complaint: I transferred {$650.00} using Wells Fargo Sure Pay to what turned out to be a fraudulent Wells Fargo account on XX/XX/2016. I reported it immediately to the Wells Fargo Fraud department. I also reported the incident in person at my local Wells Fargo Branch. I provided the results of my own research to Wells Fargo. As far as I can tell, there has been no investigation into the fraud. Wells Fargo seems to have dropped the case. In order to open a Wells Fargo account, the account holder must provide a Driver 's License or Social Security Number. The account was originated in the state of Colorado ( according to the routing number ). It seems to me, that the investigation of the person who opened the account would be a fairly simple process for Wells Fargo. I reported the incident to the local police, and to the XXXX as well.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2016 I was charged {$280.00} by XXXX. On XX/XX/2016, I was also charged an additional {$340.00} by XXXX. Upon check out, The hotel gave me a receipt that shows these two amount would be refunded to my debit card ending in XXXX. But I never received that refund. Wells Fargo sent me a letter saying they messed up their investigation and that the credit of {$630.00} was permanent. But then 2 weeks later took back the money and refuse to give it back. I called the hotel and the hotel manager said they refunded me that money the same day I checked out and that the bank had made some kind of error. The bank does not want to refund me my money even though I have provided them with proof after proof.

Without notification, the balance on the account was transferred to a new account in XX/XX/2016 that I did not request to be opened. I have asked Wells Fargo for an explanation as to why was this account opened in my name and the balance transferred. I received a message that the inquiry was being sent to their Executive Offices, but I have not received a response. From my understanding, Wells Fargo was fined million for such fraudulent business practices, and there was a full-page ad in the XXXX this week apologizing for similar activity.

Having problems with customer service
Complaint: I became a 100 % service connected XXXX veteran and notified my lender that I wanted to apply for loan forgiveness as stated in my VA paperwork. The suggested I complete an additional form so I would n't have to make payments while I waited for the loan forgiveness to process. They walked me through how to complete the form step by step and I sent it in, followed by the loan forgiveness application a few days later. I was told I did n't have to make any more payments. Two months later I was told that the first paperwork I completed to not pay while the forgiveness was processing was not filled out properly and my payments were now several months overdue. I asked if I could resubmit the form and was told they could only process one request at a time and the loan forgiveness was already in process. Now I have a negative hit on my credit report showing student loan delinquency when I did everything I was instructed to do by the loan company. How do I get this removed?

Complaint: I applied for a loan modification ( HAMP ) Program on XX/XX/2016 with my servicer Wells Fargo Home Mortgage ( WFHM ). I hired an attorney to help me with my application and they confirmed my financial application was received by WFHM on XX/XX/2016. My attorney states I qualify for the HAMP program. WFHM underwriter refused to review my loan for a HAMP loan modification even though the HAMP program allows them to review me because my application was in fact received before the deadline for HAMP expiring ( XX/XX/2016 ). Wells Fargo Home Mortgage underwriter stated they were missing two pages of the application, Dodd Frank and the 4506T, neither of which contain any financial information. I believe WFHM is doing this solely because they do n't want to help me save my home. I qualify for HAMP and deserve to be reviewed for it.

Trouble with how payments are handled
Complaint: According to Wells Fargo, the amount of student loan interest I paid in XX/XX/XXXX was {$110.00}. I thought this amount was low, so I went back through my statements for XX/XX/XXXX and added up the interest paid. I came up with {$650.00}, and that does n't included payments made in XX/XX/XXXX, as Wells Fargo did not issue a statement until XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted Wells Fargo on XX/XX/XXXX regarding the discrepancy in interest paid. They stated the matter would be resolved in the next 24 to 48 hours and I would receive a phone call. That time has passed and I have not received a phone call and after logging into my account with them, the interest paid for XX/XX/XXXX is still reported as {$110.00}. Out of curiosity, I reviewed my statements for XX/XX/XXXX and manually calculated the interest paid. According to Wells Fargo the amount was {$230.00}. I calculated the amount to be {$810.00}. I ca n't help but wonder if my payments have been misapplied. Interest is income to the bank, but what they 're reporting to the government is far lower than what they 're collecting. I was a student at the XXXX, XXXX XXXX, Iowa, when I incurred this debt with Wells Fargo for the XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX school year.

Having problems with customer service
Complaint: The daughter ( XXXX ) of my former spouse took out an {$8000.00} student loan and was able to have me listed as a co-signer without my prior approval. Despite filing a report with the XXXX police department and being labeled as identity theft by them, Wells Fargo is refusing to release me as a co-signer on the loan. While my former spouse and I lived together while married, I did not grant her daughter the right to use me as a co-signer at any time. The bank has struggled to provide me with relevant information, and refuses to speak with me to understand the facts involved with this situation. I have spoken with Fraud department personnel, Executive team administrative assistants, and local branch employees, many of which agree that the bank should remove me as a co-signer. However, the fraud department contends that because the person initiating the loan did so with the same address as me at the time and that I had asked questions about a loan at one point, they will not remove me. A police detective that I recently spoke with told me that the mere fact that a former spouses daughter lived in my home at some point does not justify them from using my identity illegally. I would appreciate any and all help that your office can provide me in remedying this situation.

Complaint: I have asked my bank repeatedly to remove the overdraft protection from my account. They refuse to cooperate. Each time that the overdraft protection is used, it results in a {$35.00} fee. These fees result in insufficient funds for purchased which result in more overdraft fees. The cycle keeps repeating itself. I asked them to reimburse me for the fees as I do not want the overdraft protection. They refused to reimburse me because they reimbursed me for fees in the past. Any fees that have been reimbursed to me were done so as a result of their mistakes. I live paycheck to paycheck. I am paying bank fees instead of my bills. This is ridiculous. I 'm not asking for a lot. All I 'm asking for is for the fees to be credited back to my account as they should never have been incurred. My account has a negative balance right now and there are more fees that are going to be added to that balance. I get direct deposit. The majority of my check is going to be deducted instantly to cover this negative balance. Something needs to be done.
