Complaint: We recently refinanced w ith Wells Fargo, within the last 6 months. They were the holder of our mortgage and we refinanced with them to get a lower rate and shorter term. We decided to go with them because we were told we would receive a {$500.00} gift card ( XXXX or XXXX - the representative couldnt ' remember which XXXX ). Our refinancing was completed several months ago, but even after multiple follow-ups we have not received any gift card/certificate. The rep who helped us refi will not return any calls. We recently sent an email to customer service and have yet to hear a response. Please help us in getting some answers on if there even was a gift card offer and if so, how can we obtain it.

Complaint: I noticed an unrecognized and unauthorized transaction on my credit card. Since I am a busy person, I have not noticed this suspicious transaction up until my accountant asked me about it when he reviewed my statements before the tax season. I feel really bad since I contacted the bank twice and both times they rejected my claim without providing me any proof that it was me that actually made those transaction. I would like to get all the details on why the bank decided to reject my claim. It does not make any sense that i will lose over {$5000.00} without getting any answers.

Complaint: Please see CFPB Case # XXXX and OCC Case # XXXX. I received a response concerning the cases cited above from Wells Fargo Bank ( WFB ) dated XX/XX/2917. That response is attached. In that response WFB admits they acted contrary to the laws of the State of California. I ask that as part of your investigation your review this illegally obtained recording of my telephone call with WFB. You will discover that not only did I ask not to be recorded but WFB advised me that I could not talk with them unless I consented to being recorded. Instead of providing and immediate remedy by removing the illegally recorded telephone call from their database, WFB advises in their response letter that I must now send a separate " letter '' asking them to remove the illegally recorded telephone call. WFB in their standard method on operation has not only demonstrated clear and deliberate indifference for law and statute they now want to place further burden on me to get their illegal activity remedied. This kind of indifference should result in swift and substantial monetary sanctions imposed on WFB in an amount so as to induce WFB to get their act together.

Complaint: Summary of Events : Towards the end of XX/XX/XXXX I had seen an advertisement for Wells Fargo, and was looking for a financial institution closer to home as my bank is quite a few miles down the road, and Wells Fargo being there is a branch close to me I decided to give it a chance. I went online and received a document required to be signed and submitted which was done by XXXX of the XXXX, OR. Branch. Later I had received a survey from Wells Fargo asking me to fill it out. I did so voluntarily as I felt that XXXX did only what was asked and did not provide me any offers such as Savings, Credit, etc. Later, I opened other credit elsewhere. I filled out the survey honestly. I had an issue, question and had to get a temporary card so I was back in the branch in XXXX about 2-3 times. One of the, if not the most recent inside visit was a Friday I visited the branch, the manager XXXX spoke with me quite harshly, and adamantly about the survey I had submitted. Her exact words were 'You know these kinds of things look bad upon us. '' In reference to my below par voluntary survey. I left and came home and had first noticed on my phone an email I recognized the evening that I opened my account with Wells Fargo. Inquisitive about the email I checked my account and seen not only the one I signed up for, but yet another second account. At that exact moment I called XXXX and asked for XXXX and complained about the 2nd account, and advised her of the suspicious emails I received when I opened my original account. She suggested I come in to the branch the next day. The next day was a Saturday when I had to visit a post office, and being that the local post offices to me are closed on Saturday in XXXX and XXXX, while out in XXXX I visited the XXXX branch and spoke with the manager there who looked up the account details, and I advised him of what had occurred and all interactions, and he then contacted Customer Service, and was informed that there was a hold on the account, and he was transferred to different departments including Online Banking Customer support, whom he asked if they could remove the hold on the account so it could be closed as it was not opened by the account holder nor was it authorized whatsoever. The manager at XXXX, close to XXXX, found out that he could n't remove the hold, customer care could n't remove the hold, and so he contacted XXXX, and apparently XXXX the manager there was able to remove the hold which clearly was opened by an employee if not XXXX at the XXXX branch which I believe was clearly vindictive due to the fact of the poor survey, and my other proof is the fact that only, XXXX was able to remove the hold on the account so the account could be removed by the manager at the XXXX branch. After this concern I requested that the account be closed as if it was never opened in the first place, as I tend to watch, protect, and respect my credit very well, and the second account without any prior authorization from me ; the account holder, is just clearly unacceptable behavior of a bank/financial institution in the United States, especially whom are apparently FDIC protected & trusted to protect my financial and private information. Where is the protection? I feel violated by Wells Fargo 's actions which clearly was either a glitch or intentional or all of the above. It is quite suspicious that the exact same evening that I come home from the XXXX Branch, and after given the third degree from the manager there regarding a voluntary survey -- I call that quite clearly vindictive behavior, and to me that seems like a fireable offense, but I leave that to Wells Fargo to handle.

Complaint: Wells Fargo bank is using Illegal practices to start Foreclosure proceedings on my home. Wells Fargo is taking advantage of me because I am XXXX man and widower. I am XXXX years old and I worked for the XXXX as the XXXX for 30 Years before retiring. I was an active man of sound mind but I XXXX and XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. I had to be XXXX and put in XXXX for XXXX. My Daughter and Sister were named Power of Attorney and they started to collect my mail for me to bring to the XXXX. I was surprised to see a letter that Wells Fargo has started Foreclosure proceedings on my Home for non-payment while I was in the hospital. Wells Fargo agents had previously told me I had no balance due and that I no longer had to make any payments on the mortgage. Now I received threating letters from Wells Fargo and their loan servicing provider ASC stating my home will be foreclosed on in XX/XX/XXXX. I requested copies of loan documents from Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo bank has refused to provide copies of Loan Documents including the Truth in Lending Disclosure, Good Faith Estimate, and the Amortization schedules as I have requested. I have requested copies of these documents so that I may research contradictory information. I purchased my home in XX/XX/XXXX and it was refinanced in XX/XX/XXXX as a Conventional ARM. 1 ) I had been informed after my wife died that our home was being paid through her insurance and that I no longer needed to pay on my mortgage. Wells Fargo sent me XXXX letters stating no balance was due. 2 ) However, I kept receiving Monthly Statements from Wells Fargo - American Servicing Company ( ASC ). I contacted Wells Fargo by phone to discuss the issue. One agent stated I was paid in full and the bank had made a mistake. On another occasion after receiving a statement, I was told I still needed to pay. Confused on the status of my home I continued to pay to XX/XX/XXXX until I XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. 3 ) From XXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX I received letters with contradictory statement amounts that do not reflect the total Principal amount paid on my loan since XX/XX/XXXX/XX/XX/XXXX 4 ) A XX/XX/XXXX statement showed an Escrow Balance of {$330.00} and a Restricted Escrow Balance of {$3000.00}. Wells Fargo has not provided any explanation for why I no longer have access to the {$3000.00} that use to be in Escrow. My Property Taxes are only {$570.00} and are not due until the month of XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX while still in the hospital I had my daughter call to make immediate payments on whatever amount Wells Fargo claimed was past due. Wells Fargo agents refused to provide my daughter with the amount due on the phone and would not allow her to make the payment even though she had a Power of Attorney on file. My daughter spoke with Agent XXXX Contact Phone Number XXXX Ext XXXX The Wells Fargo Agent lied and stated she did not have any information about the mortgage loan. Later that evening my daughter who is highly skilled with computers was able to go online to make a payment using statement information I had provided. We were surprised that the only amount showing Past Due Online for my Loan was XX/XX/XXXX which she promptly paid. I received the following Wells Fargo Confirmation Number for the XXXX Payment she made online ( XXXX ) As I am XXXX and XXXX I would like immediate support from the CFPB. I would like to use the {$3000.00} in my Restricted Escrow account to cover the {$2800.00} falsely claimed by the bank as Past Due to stop foreclosure proceedings. Please have Wells Fargo explain in writing why I still am being charged monthly even though the account was already paid in full. I would like a copy of my Loan including the original Signed Loan with the GFE, TIL, Amortization.

Complaint: I was one of those people who was talked into opening an account with Wells Fargo. The account was called a PMA. I opened it because it was n't going to cost me anything and the banker was local and nice. After the scandal hit, I went into the bank and closed the account. What was n't mentioned to me when I closed it was that since, under the PMA, my statements of my several accounts were all combined, the on-line statements for my main checking account ( which I 've had for over 30 years ) would disappear from on-line. I only saw this when I went into my main account to check some figures for my XX/XX/XXXX income taxes. There are no online records for XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and the first four months of XX/XX/XXXX. After talking by phone with five different departments, I was told that while they might can send me hard copies of those records, they can not restore them online. This is outrageous and directly connected with their account-opening deceptions.

Complaint: I have owned my home for 12 years and am facing a sale date on XX/XX/XXXX because my mortgage lender Wells Fargo refuses to open a review of my current financial situation. They claim that since they worked with me in XX/XX/XXXX and offered a loan modification that I am never allowed to have any type of assistance again. I do not believe that this is how the system works and feel that they are blocking access to programs that could help me save my home. I have been working full time as a XXXX XXXX XXXX for the last 5 years, and have taken on a second part time job at a XXXX XXXX in order to help make ends meet and have the ability to afford a fair mortgage payment. My issue, and the reason for my complaint, is t hat Wells Fargo will not even give me a chance or come to the table. This is very frustrating, especially when I KNOW that I am in a position to fix this problem if Wells Fargo would give me the chance. <P/> In XX/XX/XXXX , during the recession I was laid off after 18 years. I applied for, and was eventually granted a loan modification. I continued to struggle as I was sporadically employed or underemployed during that time. I was able to get help from my father as well as collect unemployment and somehow managed to hold it together. However, the payment was still too high relative to my income and I tried to let the agents at Wells Fargo know th is back in XX/XX/XXXX . I tried repeatedly to engage with them as I ended up falling behind on the loan and get a new review opened but was told that since I had received help back in XX/XX/XXXX that I was never eligible for help again. I am not sure that is how the program works -- as I understand i t Wells Fargo r eceived ove r 30 billion d ollars in bailout funds from the government that was funded by taxpayers. I believe that there are multiple government as well as internal programs that are supposed to be made available to help struggling homeowners, and all I am asking for is a chance to be considered. This loan was an adjustable subprime loan with a starting interest rate of 8.09 % that could adjust as high as 15 %. Wells Fargo ( and the companies that owned the loan before you ) collected a large amount of interest on this loan before the modification in XX/XX/XXXX and I am just asking for some consideration and asking that they follow the established federal guidelines and the rules of the state of North Carolina. <P/> I am working as a XXXX XXXX XXXX and have been steadily employed for the last 5 years. In order to help make ends meet I have been working part time at a XXXX XXXX as well. I CAN afford a fair and reasonable payment and I want the chance to fix this problem. I have owned my home for 12 years and if they were to conduct a review and restructure or modify my loan to address the late payments and current rate and payment to something that is affordable based on my income every side would come out a winner. I feel that I am running into a brick wall and could use some assistance in this matter
