Complaint: I made a deposit on my account on XX/XX/2017 via the mobile APP. During the process, it stated that the funds would be made available on XX/XX/2017. I made a payment on another credit card to pay it off to prevent finance charges from accruing using the funds on XX/XX/2017 thinking it was enough time for the funds to process since the app promised it would be available the day prior. When I checked the bank account today XX/XX/2017, Wells Fargo still had the funds pending but not available and returned the payment to my creditor. This not only caused my Wells Fargo account to be overdrawn, but also caused issues with my credit card since now it has a returned payment on it with a balance. After speaking with Wells Fargo twice, they advised that they received an indication from the bank that the funds may not be available causing them to hold the funds for additional days. I called the other bank who issued the check and they advised me that they do n't have anything on their end that showed any issues with the funds and that the funds are there for Wells Fargo. I called back Wells Fargo again and advised them the situation again with the extra information from the previous bank. Once again, an agent ( XXXX ) and a supervisor ( XXXX ) told me that they received an indication that caused them to put an extended hold on the funds.

Complaint: Wells Fargo is sharing stolen money from my Mortgage with members of the XXXX Tax Collector 's Office in Arkansas. Since XX/XX/XXXX Wells Fargo has sent enormous checks for property taxes totaling {$130000.00} supposedly for my Property Taxes. The property taxes on my small home in XXXX Arkansas are typically {$470.00} or less. The payments made by Wells Fargo to the XXXX County Collector 's Office is a {$120000.00} flagrant overpayment. I believe Wells Fargo is sharing the money they have stolen from my Mortgage Account # XXXX with Arkansas State Officials. XXXX, the rep I spoke with, informed me I could apply for " another '' Dillards credit card with a lower interest rate ; however I would not be able to transfer my existing balance to the new card. I feel this rate is excessive. I have a good credit score, been a loyal customer for 20+ years and feel I am being taken advantage of.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX or thereabouts, XXXX USD was sent to XXXX to send to my bank in XXXX. The exchange rate on the date of receipt was XXXX/USD. Therefore {$130000.00} should have been received by my XXXX Account. Instead only {$120000.00} was received. I asked my XXXX bank about the shortfall, but they indicated that the money was received in XXXX, so they were not responsible for the bad exchange rate. I was told by XXXX that either Wells Fargo or XXXX may have been an intermediary on this transaction, but I could not get any details without help. Help was difficult to get, as even though it was my money, the intermediary banks would not speak to me as I was not " their customer. '' I wrote XXXX, President XXXX, and he was responsive. His subordinates helped get in touch with Wells Fargo. Wells was initially unhelpful and tried to obfuscate and blame others in the transaction. I had the good fortune of knowing someone that could read XXXX messages. Eventually Wells Fargo admitted that instead of routing the funds to my bank 's USD correspondent bank, they routed the wire to XXXX first, and took a hefty chunk of my funds in the process. Eventually, Wells did get XXXX to refund about half of the shortfall, but the other half remains unaccounted for.

When he called she told him the deal was off the table and I would have to refile for a new modification which I did in XX/XX/XXXX. Since sending in the papers no one contacted me. Complaint: I have been a great customer with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage since 2002 and we had a family tragedy which cost us XXXX in expenses and counseling. Wells Fargo mistakenly pays my property taxes and then apologizes over and over but has taken my payment to {$820.00} a month for 8 years now!!! I pay my own taxes and they know it. During this tragedy we were not able to follow all the ridiculous notices that they did it again and subsequently was paying the same amount but they had raised the monthly payment to make up for their error and when my payments came in they were not applied to my monthly mortgage they were eaten up by fees and additional charges. This made it appear I was not paying and now they have foreclosed on my house with a lot of equity. I mean what evil people would do this during our nightmare. My wife, a XXXX of 22 years had to resign her job because of grief and we are struggling with kids in college etc. They offer to help but switch me all over and never respond to calls. We reported to another agency and suddenly they wanted to help but have been dragging their feet and continue to bombard us with foreclosure documents and filings. They always claim I did n't send something and wait days before responding to stall so they can steal our home. I need this to stop ... .it continues to make my wife even more sick I am supposedly working with a XXXX XXXX who 's answering machine always has the wrong date and never responds by email and by phone week later

Complaint: I became ill and my Dr. told me I needed to go on XXXX, so until that application was processed I requested a modification since I was n't able to keep up with mortgage pmts. I was told repeatedly during every phone call dealing with the Home Preservation Specialists at Wells Fargo that a foreclosure could not be filed on my property while in the process of a modification. I received a summons stating a foreclosure had been filed with a date 8 days prior to receiving a voice mail that the modification was completed, but I was being denied. So, now to reinstate my account, I have an additional almost {$2000.00} in fees regarding the foreclosure that I 'm required to pay to reinstate in addition to my back mortgage pmts. I asked my Home Preservation Specialist why I received a summons when I 'd been told that could n't happen and after being put on hold multiple times, she finally apologized for giving me " incorrect information ''. No further explanation was given, no further assistance was offered. I was later told by a housing counselor that they should have also offered me a partial claim loan, which was never offered or discussed. I was told by Wells Fargo that I had 20 days to pay the reinstatement amount in full or be foreclosed on. When I then asked for the total amount including fees that I would need to pay, Wells Fargo said they did n't have a dollar amount to give me, but that in about 3 more business days, they would fax me the amount. These 3 days are counted in the 20 they gave me to pay. So, now there 's only 17 days to pay the full balance.

Complaint: Hi a wire was send to pay, {$4000.00} and one for {$350.00} for shipping.for an invoice, for a total of {$4300.00} thru Wells Fargo Business account, the same day that was Re-send was stop by me in the same day XX/XX/2017 that was a Friday, was stop by me, at the Bank with an officer and with wire customer service, the wire customer service, do to be Friday their left it for the following Monday the XX/XX/2017 this is neglecting in their part, and their send the funds anyway, now we are out the funds and their just washing their hands, telling me is to late, there is no way we going to lose that money, so we ask to help us in this matter Banks always get away with murder, their always committing fraud again customer and no body cares, we ask that their credit our account do to their neglecting specially today that everyone is a victim of fraud daily.

Complaint: I returned home from vacation on XXXX and when going through the mail i discovered a Demand letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX telling me i was delinquent on my XXXX property taxes to XXXX XXXX on my XXXX Rose XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX my residence ). It said if the bill was not paid by XXXX there would be additional interest and penalties and failure to pay by XXXX would result in XXXX County proceeding with levies and sale process. I immediately called Wells Fargo ( the mortgage holder ) at XXXX at night and spoke with XXXX ( XXXX # XXXX ). She confirmed that when they refinanced my old loan ( XXXX ) to my new loan ( XXXX ) back in XXXX XXXX that Wells Fargo failed to pay the XXXX taxes. She old me that she put in a work order ( XXXX ) and it would take XXXX business days to process. I asked for her supervisor and she told me that there were no supervisors available and could they call me back. I said yes. At XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX number XXXX XXXX ) called me back. She confirmed that it was Wells Fargo 's mistake and it would be paid by XXXX ( a total of 18 days after the demand letter and 7 months after the initial error ). She confirmed that Wells Fargo would pay any penalties and interest. I asked her about the effect on my credit rating and was told that if i could show written proof to Wells Fargo that it adversely effected my credit they would correct it. On XXXX at XXXX I called the XXXX County Tax Commissioner 's Office and spoke to XXXX XXXX XXXX She noted in my file 1 ) I had contacted the mortgage holder 2 ) I had contacted XXXX County Tax office 3 ) The failure to pay was due to a re-fi 4 ) the bill would be paid by end of XXXX XXXX. She told me that there was a tax lien on my property and it would be removed 6-8 weeks after the bill was paid. What i do n't understand is why Wells Fargo did not catch this. Do they not have an audit process designed to catch these mistakes? Why can this not be taken care of immediately? Given my past experiences re-financing this property with Wells Fargo i do not trust them to take care of this issue in a timely manner and I will be the one to pay the price.

Complaint: I am filing this complaint on behalf of my sister who at the time was on XXXX due to XXXX and XXXX. Her Social Security check ( which is her only income ) is automatically deposited into her checking account at the Wells Fargo bank in XXXX, SC. In XXXX 2015 someone at that branch came to her and offered her a credit card with no interest for 24 months if she would open a savings account and and have the bank automatically draft {$25.00} from her checking account each month. The outrageous part of this deal is that they opened the Visa card with a credit limit of {$4000.00}!!!! Now mind you, they came to her, she did not ask for a credit card. At that time her monthly Social Security check was approximately {$1100.00}. She barely has enough money to pay her rent of $ XXXX, car insurance, utilities, groceries, medicine, healthcare, gas, and misc expenses. In her XXXX this was a good thing which of course was NOT! You can image the rest of the story ... .. I make sure all of her bills are paid every month and she HAD fairly good credit, but I did not know about the credit card. Well, she has managed to charge well over the {$4000.00} credit limit and the {$50.00} /month she has been paying on it will never get it paid off. I agree that she used very poor judgement in charging this huge amount but I hold Wells Fargo for even worse judgement in issuing a credit card to someone with such limited resources! That credit card was like giving drugs to and addict or alcohol to an alcoholic. Now the bank is coming after her and asking for minimum payments of {$1000.00} or more which of course is a joke. Please look into this matter in light of all the underhanded things that Wells Fargo has done to their customers. Taking advantage of someone like my sister is reprehensible and Wells Fargo should assume some responsibility for this egregious act. The most important thing is that I do n't want her checking account to be compromised in any way because now her credit is ruined because of her debt to earning ratio and I do n't think she would not be able to open another checking account anywhere. I try to help her to live independently and it has worked so far until this dang credit card was issued to her. IT SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN OFFERED OR ISSUED TO HER WITH HER INCOME LEVEL! We live in different states but thanks to online banking I make sure her bills are paid. Please help us.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2017 I called Wells Fargo to close XXXX my checking and savings account. The banker said I had to wait for all of the pending transactions to post before closing and to call back to then cancel it. While on the phone I had the banker cancel my debit card so no further recurring transactions could be made. Once all of the transactions posted there was an overdraft transfer fee that caused my checking to pull from my savings and charged me {$12.00}. At this point it put my checking account into negative. I then called Wells Fargo back on XX/XX/2017 to try and close the account again. Since I was now negative in my checking they obviously wouldnt allow me to close the account until I brought it positive. I asked the banker to waive the overdraft fee since I was in the process of closing the account. He said he was only able to waive 75 % of the fee which brought my account back to positive and left {$3.00} in my checking. At this point he was able to close my savings account with no problem. While he was in the process of closing my checking we got disconnected. Upon calling back and speaking with another banker I was told that they were having trouble closing my checking account since the system was showing an error. The banker said normally to close the account I either need to come into a branch and pull out all of my money or they will send me a check for the remaining balance. After the banker could not figure out why there was an error, I asked to speak with the supervisor. The supervisor then said the same about an error and that the system was n't letting her cut me check for the remaining balance. Finally she said the amount was too low to cut me a check and send it to my address in XXXX, OH and I would need to come to a branch or transfer the remainder. I live in midwest where Wells Fargo is non-existent. The amount left in the account was {$3.00} since I pulled all of the money out previously. I was still baffled that they could not cut me a check for the remaining balance of my money even though it was barely anything. The supervisor then said the only options left to close the account were to either come into a branch, which I was unable to do, or to write a check for {$3.00} or transfer that amount. The next day I transferred the remaining balance to my father since he also has Wells Fargo which the transfer was instant. I called back and they said the transfer was pending even though my account was at XXXX with XXXX pending transactions. I was once told again they could not close my account. At this point I was furious on why I could not close my bank account with them and had no clue how to get someone to help me since no one from Wells Fargo would give me a straight answer. A few days went by and I received an email from Wells Fargo saying insufficient funds. I logged back into my account and saw that my account was negative {$260.00}. I once again called back Wells Fargo and was told now I owe them all that money since my account was never closed. The supervisor I spoke with said they were supposed to cut me a check upon my request to close the account back on XX/XX/2017. I asked for them to pull up all of the previous phone conversations on how I was told they could not close my account because of a system error. He said they have a department that handles all complaints, etc. and I would receive a call from the investigation department which has yet to happen.
