Funds not handled or disbursed as instructed
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX we paid our daughter 's tuition payment via e-check and received a confirmation & routing number. The funds were taken out of our Wells-Fargo checking account on XX/XX/XXXX, the first business day of the new year. Shortly thereafter, we began to get notices that her tuition payment had not been received. We contacted the university, and at first all thought there might be some delay. After all, the bank had provided a routing number. By XX/XX/XXXX, as penalty charges were mounting, our daughter was being denied the ability to register for her XXXX year classes and was not even permitted to use the copy center at her school. At the college 's suggestion, we called the bank. Wells-Fargo promised to launch an investigation. We did not hear from them. We called back over two weeks later. Unable to reach the original representative, we told our story again. Wells-Fargo promised to launch another investigation. Again, we waited. And again, we did not hear a word. Meanwhile, we discovered that the unpaid check to the college was not alone. There were at least 6 checks that Wells-Fargo had, at our direction, taken out of our account, cancelled and not paid to our creditors. With the clock ticking for our daughter 's XXXX year registration in jeopardy ( as it still is ) we wrote to the President of Wells-Fargo. We received three xeroxed letters stating that our " feedback was important to them '' and saying that the company was " currently researching the items brought to our attention in your ( our ) letter. '' These form letters were identical except for the name at the bottom -- an initial and a last name only -- impossible to contact in any way. They were not from the president 's office, but from Consumer Correspondence. Each promised a result within 10 business days -- those promises were not kept. One letter was answered 24 days later with a different xeroxed letter saying they were still investigating and no end date in site. At that point, we made another stab at calling a representative. We we escalated to a representative in the Executive office. She said she would look into it. We sent her the checks in question ( including the college e-check information ). She sent those checks to the Check Fraud Claims Department. That department decided that because all the checks had been cancelled that it was our very diverse creditors that were trying to defraud the bank. That the problem could not be internal. That all these diverse creditors, who had not received payment, actually HAD received payment and were trying to receive double payment. They asked us to sign affidavits of check fraud which we refused to do because it seems clear to us that this diverse group of companies and individuals, from our child 's college, to our doctor, to our gardener would not all claim not to have been paid in this relatively short period of time. We have never known these people to be anything less than honest and we do not intend to accuse them falsely on Wells-Fargo 's behalf. Throughout this disheartening process, Wells-Fargo has steadfastly refused to look within. When we asked them, " are you saying that all these creditors decided to make claims not to be paid at the same time? '' the Wells-Fargo representative said, " Yes. '' When we spoke with her supervisor, things got even weirder. She told us that if the creditors were not paid it was because we did n't have the money in our account. We countered, how could that be if we had cancelled checks. She told us we could n't have cancelled checks ; the bank does n't allow patrons to keep checks and they do n't keep them. When we told her they were the copies from the computer, she became very flustered. Needless to say, this is very frustrating. We have the records. What 's going on appears plain. Wells-Fargo took money out of our checking account but failed to pay our creditors. We just do n't know what to do. Our child still is unable to register for her XXXX year in college. It is hard enough to pay one tuition, much less two.

Can't close your account
Complaint: Wells Fargo Bank is refusing to distribute money from my late Mother 's checking accounts to my brother and myself as the legal executors and heirs to her estate. My mother died on XX/XX/XXXX in XXXX XXXX. The XXXX XXXX tax waiver for the inheritance tax was issued on XX/XX/XXXX. The balance of my Mother 's estate ( both real property and funds in Wells Fargo brokerage and IRA accounts ) have already been distributed. There are three checking accounts in my Mother 's name that I exercised power of attorney over to pay her bills. I approached my local branch Wells with the will, letters testamentary, trust and death certificate ( Wells has had the death certificate and POA on file since XX/XX/XXXX- I 've given them five copies ) to request the remaining money in the account be distributed to my brother and my accounts and to close my late Mother 's accounts. Wells refused to do this based on their legal interpretation of the letters testamentary despite the fact that they have already distributed the bulk of the estate that was held in other Wells accounts. I was told by a Wells banker that : 1. my brother and I need to be in the same Wells branch at the same time to do this ( note : my brother lives in the XXXX and XXXX. ; I live in XXXX ), or b. the letters testamentary need to be resubmitted ( My brother and I would need to fly back to XXXX for this and incur added legal fees ) or c. Wait until my brother returns from the XXXX to XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX, fill out more forms, and be in different branches at the same time. Wells has refused to make their legal department available to me or my attorney and will not provide any letter or documentation regarding their arbitrary decision. The branch manager and the Wells dispute resolution team told me, " It 's a legal matter- it is out of our hands. '' Despite being a Wells Fargo customer for 37 years and ( along with my brother ) having multiple Wells accounts, we have had access to our money cut off by Wells Fargo Bank without any appeal or formal notification.

Complaint: I do n't know where to start. We need assistance to figure out if we are still in modification or did the mortgage company sell our home without us being notified. We have several phone calls going back and forth with Wells Fargo. We did ask them 2 months ago if we need to worry about our house going on foreclosure list. Wells Fargo Rep said They checked our account and there are not any notices or red flags on our account to be worried about. Before that we explained to them we have a lost of wages, I was recently in a bus accident and I am not able to work. In XXXX I was put on XXXX XXXX and I am not getting what I was making to make ends meet. Again, we did tell the rep at Wells Fargo ; they asked us to send information to start modification, So we did. We began to get notices from a company called XXXX XXXX indicating that they are selling our home and will be sold on XXXX XXXX, and now we have to get out of home in 3 days, or be evicted in 90 days. We were never notified by Wells Fargo wether we got the modification or our house was sold or any communication that we are no longer home owners. PLEASE HELP US KEEP OUR HOME. Bounced checks or returned payments
Complaint: In XXXX 2017 Wells Fargo Bank, CRM employees restructured my business relationship profile on my small business accounts and also reverse payments, blocked transactions when larger direct deposits where pending and what ever fees they created where payed after the larger direct deposits were posting and then after this incident they Bulled me by blocking my operation accounts cards with out warning ; they claimed I had abused my cards and accumulated over 70 NSF 's. in one year. ( LIE ) My bank statements prove other, and Now for the time being I ca n't do credit card transactions so when I got direct deposits weekly of {$5000.00} to {$13000.00} thousand from my clients I could not complete work I lost close too {$200000.00} Dollars in a four year contract and sells and clients. Five years of a great relationship and services with Wells Fargo also. A group of employees social engineered a procedure to break my relationship with Wells Fargo, Committing bank fraud and negligence. They allowed for my accounts to Continue to operate with a debit card status to collect more fees on the blocked cards and they also threaten my personal accounts with derogatory negative receipt massages. This has cause personal stresses on my family and defamation of my character. I lost my contractors and employees, I have to start all over. Also my family SUV repossessed due to slow payments, my personal bills are also damaged. I have reported this to the proper channels with in the bank and they tell me they have started a claim and have an ethics investigation going. They keep giving me the run around and twisting the truth. I had to go to a branch outside of my city to get some truth of this matter. They have restored some fees and also restored my cards, but this is not enough. My personal, family and business life, taxes, employees, all, has been hurt by this industrial espionage. Help me please!?

Problem with personal statement of dispute
Complaint: In XXXX of 2015 I requested assistance from their Home Preservation department, because I became unemployed. Under the plan terms and conditions, I agreed to make partial payments to Wells Fargo until I could make full payments, or refinance my mortgage. At the end of the plan term, I successfully completed refinancing my home. The initial documentation that I received and submitted to Wells Fargo states During the plan period : We ( Wells Fargo ) will report to the credit agencies that you are paying your mortgage under a partial payment agreement with us. However, per my credit report, it appears that they have reported that payments were paid late for 12 months, instead of paid partially. Im disputing Wells Fargos reporting because they did not clearly indicate that they would report every payment made under the trial period as late. The wording on the documents attached literally state we will report to the credit agencies that you are paying your mortgage under a partial payment agreement with us. I would also like to point out that during the time that I entered the plan, the Home Preservation department was a new entity at Wells Fargo. I talked with 3 different Home Preservation Specialist who handled my case, and stated that due to the newness of the department, policies and protocol was constantly changing. I feel that I was not provided with the correct information at the initial agreement of this plan, which could have affected the outcome. I feel that Wells Fargo should amend or correct their reporting in a way that reflects what I initially agreed upon. I have since contacted the Better Business Bureau, to which I have gotten no results. at this time Wells Fargo still Believes that they have reported fairly, despite the inability to accurately inform me as the consumer.

Confusing or misleading advertising about the credit card
Complaint: Back in XXXX of 2016 I purchased some furniture from Bassett furniture, and decided to use the wellsfargo card they offered and utilize the promotion they had. It was deferred interest for a year I made three sepetate purchases. One was for a large amount the other two were smaller amounts. Throughout the course of the year I made payments toward my balance with the understanding from them that all the money I was paying was going toward the main first promotional balance. I am close to the end of my first promotion and was going over numbers and realized that the money I was paying all this time was indeed not going to my main promotion. When I called them to ask what was going on, I was informed that I did not have a credit card but a loan. I began to explain to him I did n't take out a loan I had have a credit card, a XXXX card, and that every month I get a credit card statement. He decided to continue to belittle my intelligence and offer no help, rather pass me off to a supervisor. I spoke briefly to the supervisor and he said that I should of known this was how they operated, that he would get back with me, but never spoke about how out of the twenty times I called over the course of the year the employees should n't of lied to me. I would of not made any purchases with them had I know this, much less numerous ones. PLEASE do not for any reason use wellsfargo bank card service for any reason. They do not operate like any other card companies at all, they make sure you are undable to pay off any of your balance on time, and will lie and twist the truth to get you to use them. I have used many promotions and neve have I been scamed like this.

Application denied
Complaint: Wells Fargo denied me a credit card and lied about the reason for the denial. I have both a mortgage and second mortgage with Wells Fargo for over 13 years with never a missed or late payment. On or about XX/XX/XXXX, I visited https : //www.wellsfargo.com/ and saw an advertisement for a consumer credit card that offered {$200.00} in cash reward bonus with a minimum use qualifier. It also offered cash reward point accumulation of 1.5 % on all purchases.
I filled out the online application which really only asked for gross income and personal identifying information. I received a letter datedXX/XX/XXXX in which they stated they denied the credit card request based on the reason : " Credit references provided ca n't be verified ''. I gave them no specific credit reference in my application. Specifically, they state they are unable to get a credit report from XXXX for me. I called them shortly after receiving the letter and filed a verbal complaint. The call was escalated to a man in their " executive office ''. The basis of my complaint is that on their web site I can see my own FICO score, so it is obvious they not only can but have routinely pulled a credit report on me. I have excellent credit. I did state on the application that all of my income is sourced from retirement. I conjecture they denied credit because I am retired. Regardless, whatever their reason is, it is not because they ca n't verify that I have excellent credit. I received a second letter dated XX/XX/XXXX in which they stated that after investigating themselves, they determined they have done nothing wrong. This is probably the second lie.
