Debt was result of identity theft
Complaint: I XXXX XXXX has sent numerous documents to Wells Fargo and the credit bureaus, proving I am the victim of identity theft. XX/XX/XXXXWells Fargo finally replied to XXXX XXXX after months and months of requests for validation of the above listed debt. We are responding to a few inaccurate assumptions made by them in their verification/ debt validation reply.
In XX/XX/XXXX I traveled to XXXX from XXXX, did not return to the United States until XX/XX/XXXX. The E-ticket attached proves this point. We believe it is a physical impossibility for her to be in two places at the same time.
2. Page 4 has a credit card statement ( please see attachment ) For an XXXX XXXX residing at XXXX XXXX XXXX # XXXX XXXX CA XXXX
3. Page 5 has a credit card statement for the same individual residing at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX CA XXXX.
I have never resided at either of these addresses. Please see the attached utility statement document for proof of residence during that time period.
I find it hard to believe Wells Fargo would allow a credit customer to have two different billing addresses for the same account.
I would also like to point out that the Police reports filed, and sent to Wells Fargo did not show either of those manufactured addresses.

Complaint: My issue is with Wells Fargo. They are refusing to consider any options to allow me to get back on track with my mortgage payments. I fell behind after over 10 years of on time payments due to major health issues that my wife has experienced the last few years. She was diagnosed with XXXX and then had XXXX XXXX issues which affected her XXXX and XXXX. This was exacerbated by issues from XXXX XXXX and blocked XXXX going to her XXXX. She was no longer able to work and the medical treatments were very expensive. I struggled for a long time but eventually became delinquent on my loan. I am on fixed income and could not take all of these unexpected expenses at once. I am XXXX military and on fixed income receiving SSI, military benefits and also a pension. Once I was able to get more stable on our expenses I reached out to Wells Fargo to see what could be done to resolve the missed payments. They first time I contacted them their agents stated that they would not negotiate with us, they would not consider any options, and that we had to wait two years in order to be considered for any assistance. They said the only way to fix this was to reinstate the loan XXXX about 4 months delinquent at that timesomething I could not do ). This was very frustratingWells Fargo received over {$30.00} XXXX in taxpayer bailout funds and they are required and obligated to conduct a review of our financial information to determine our eligibility for government, internal or GSE programs. Their stark refusal to even open a review is not only unethical and immoral but wrong. We are not asking for a handout, we just need a helping hand to get through this crisis.
My most recent conversation with their agents was even more alarmingthey told me that since my loan was close to maturity that they could not negotiate or consider any type of workout option. Once again, this is not only unethical and immoral but it is wrong. My loan is amortized over 15 years and that makes my payment much higher. If Wells Fargo would change the amortization and increase the term this could be resolved. They could also recapitalize the late payments back into the balance. Or they could lower the current interest rate through modification. There are several options that Wells Fargo could consider and it is despicable that they turn their back on my family in our time of need. We paid as agreed on our first and second mortgage for well over 10 years, yet when we run into major health issues they turn their back and look to foreclose on us.

Complaint: THIS IS NOT A NEW CLAIM I JUST HAD NO WAY OF FILING ADDITIONAL INFORMATION SINCE I DID NOT SEND THE ORIGINAL COMPLAINT TO YOU. THANK YOU.
Complaint XXXX about Wells fargo XXXX XXXX On yesterday I received a call from the person over the case regarding a letter to the FDIC and it was forwarded to you. He called to say that he needed more time to get more information from the department involved in this.
He said the new date would be XXXX the XXXX or XXXX. I asked him what information he needed from them and he said information to proceed.I explanied to him that the weather had been pretty bad in Louisiana and with XXXX threatening to dump more rain I wasnt sure if there would be additional damage. Upon origainally speaking with him I told him I was sure termites had come in throught the widow that had issues.
One of the questions I asked was were we going through this because we were behind in our house note. I explained to them that my hsuband had to leave employment here to go there. It took him a month to find employment. He is doing some very labor intense work so we can catch up on the mortage.
Today in the mail I received two pieces of mail from Wells fargo. The first was a letter for guidlines for my husband to do the work on a home we paid the insurence on.
It said that we had to go through this because we were behind in our mortgage. It says we must send them the checks that will send us the money in increments after we provide every manner of support. Including reciepts, checks and other things.
THIS IS NOT THEIR MONEY. my XXXX no one should have to go through this. I have been displaced from my husband for more then three months. It feels like XXXX all over again.
We have never filled a claim and we will most likely never again. As I stated someone mentioned to my husband recently that we have been behind several times with our mortgage since XXXX.
Which brings me to the second letter, one that I can never remember getting, a letter to accelerate the loan or default and be foreclosed on. I think it is very suspect that I make a complaint against them and we have been behind for several months and now we receive this letter dated XXXX XXXX.
I believe this is clearly retaliation for filing a complaint against them for their practices and the lies that they have told and continue to tell. We are suppose to be a team. But I feel like it is them against us. And we are trying to stay above the water.
It is now my intentions to provide this information to the media, sadly with this current disaster there will be countless people that they do this too.
Sincerely, XXXX XXXX

Complaint: I deposited a check in my Wells Fargo checking account on XXXX XXXX. The check came from my checking account at XXXX. After completing the deposit, I received a message from Wells Fargo that XXXX funds would be held for up to 10 days. The funds were withdrawn from my XXXX account on XXXX XXXX.
There is no reason for Wells Fargo to hold on my money for so long. This will probably trigger some additional overdrawn fees on my account. I was going to pay down my credit card balance. I was going to pay several bills, but this delay to access my funds means more late charges.
I would like Wells Fargo to release my funds to me immediately.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX 2017 I contacted Wells Fargo corporate office by phone. Explain to the representative that I wanted to deposit my promissory note for a mortgage. The representative informed me that Wells Fargo does not accept promissory notes. I am formed Wells Fargo representative that it was against Universal commercial codes law and also against the laws governing legal tender for a financial institution not to accept promissory notes from the public. This did not matter he proceeded to insist that Wells Fargo did not accept promissory notes implying that they do n't follow Universal Commercial Code laws which fall under the umbrella of Maritime admiralty law. I asked to speak to his supervisor he told me that someone would be in touch with me within 72 hours and he took my information down. So on XXXX XXXX 2017 a Wells Fargo representative by the name of XXXX XXXX call me back. He proceeded to inform me that Wells Fargo does not accept promissory notes but they produce their own promissory notes that the public has to accept. Complaint: I believe Wells Fargo underwriters practiced discriminatory lending and are in violation of Fair Lending Laws by encouraging a high-cost loan option and disqualifying me of a competitive loan despite my credit qualifications.
I am in the process of purchasinga home for my mother in the XXXX XXXX area XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I live in XXXX CA. My mother was given the opportunity to purchase the home she is in ( or given 60 days to move out ). She has been renting the home for over 10 years at a rate that has never gone up, despite the rapid increase in the cost of living in her area. However, she is low-income, and does n't qualify for the complete funds needed to purchase her current home on her own income. After researching various options, we were told by Wells Fargo I can purchase the home for a low interest rate, low down payment and monthly payments if I could live in the home.
After 45+ days of submitting the same documents repeatedly, we were finally informed that I was denied because Wells Fargo underwriters were " unable to verify ( current ) residence. '' Wells Fargo originally requested to verify that I was n't currently living at the home, which I provided evidence ( tax records, employment location in the XXXX XXXX, a written and signed statement ). During a phone recorded verbal denial, I was told that Wells Fargo wanted me to use an investment loan for the home, which would have a higher interest rate, a larger down payment and higher monthly payments, something my family could never afford.
I am concernedabout this for a few reasons. First, the home is in a predominantly low-income XXXX neighborhood AND we are working class XXXX XXXX. Although I have excellentcredit ( e.g- high credit score, no missed payments, track record of owning a home and paying on-time etc. ), I was denied a competitive mortgage loan and was told the underwriters wanted to do the loan as a less affordable option. Secondly, the denial reason is vague, and when probed for additional details I was denied by several representatives. The lack of a sound denial explanation and the makeup of the neighborhood along with Wells Fargo 's long standing issue with providing fair loans to minorities proves as further evidence that their intentions were never to offer the competitive loan, but to coerce our family into a more costly loan in the long-run. This issue has since been escalated up to the discriminatory division at Wells Fargo, but I have not been able to get a responsive. My mom has already undergone several hospital visits as a result of the stress that this situation has caused our family.
What we are requesting is a full refund for the fees paid to the bank totaling {$560.00} ( for appraisal ) and monetary compensation as a result of the unlawful act of discrimination experience imposed upon my family.
I am sorry that my XXXX XXXXXXXX, and the XXXX of my neighbors makes us a bigger risk to your bank, but no bank should ever be allowed to freely and without just cause deny qualified individuals of competitive loans on the basis of their economic and XXXX disadvantage and/or of their neighborhood.

Can't use card to make purchases
Complaint: A formal complaint has already been filed with Wells Fargo. Case # XXXX I have a XXXX card and a mortgage with Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo 's reward program for this card is called the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Through the program the card holder earns a one percent ( 1 % ) Cash Reward for every one dollar ( {$1.00} ) in net purchases ( purchases minus returns/credits ) made on this credit card account rounded to the nearest one cent ( {$.00} ). There is no limit to the cash rewards that can be earned through the program.
I decided earlier in the spring/summer of XX/XX/XXXX to start using my Wells Fargo credit card for all my monthly expenses so that I can earn the 1 % on purchases. Once my cash reward reached {$25.00} Wells Fargo then applies {$25.00} to the principal of my mortgage, which is also through Wells Fargo. Everything had been working well until the last few months my payments were not being applied in a timely manor. I called the customer service department and they explained it sometimes take XXXX business days for the payment to be reflected in my available credit even through it is already reflected in my out standing balance. Since I was noticing a delay in the payment processing of the electronic payment sent by my credit union I then started to make my payment through the Wells Fargo website. This payment is issued from the same account with my credit union.
My most recent issue leads me to believe that Wells Fargo was purposefully delaying posting my payments to my account so that I would not have the credit to continue to make purchases and earn the 1 %, which eventually apply to the principal of my Wells Fargo mortgage.
Here are the details : Wednesday, XX/XX/XXXX - {$470.00} Electronic Payment issued through credit union online bill payment system Thursday, XX/XX/XXXX - {$470.00} payment subtracted from my checking account balance ; payment not reflected in Wells Fargo available credit balance.
Friday, XX/XX/XXXX - payment still not reflected in Wells Fargo available credit balance.
Sunday, XX/XX/XXXX - payment of {$230.00} made through Wells Fargo website.
Monday, XX/XX/XXXX - payment of {$470.00} and {$230.00} still not reflected in Wells Fargo available credit balance.
Monday, XX/XX/XXXX - automatic credit card payment of {$320.00} for auto insurance declined due to insufficient available credit.
First Customer Service Rep explanation - it takes 3-4 business days for payment to fully process. Note : Monday, XX/XX/XXXX is the 4th business day.
Requested to escalate issue and spoke with manager, XXXX - Same response ; it takes 3-4 business days for payment to fully process. Note : Monday, XX/XX/XXXX is the 4th business day.
Requested again to escalate the issue and file a formal complaint - spoke with XXXX. She explained that a payment hold had been placed on all payments on my credit card account.
Wells Fargo 's reason for payment holds : too many payments made on the account before the close of the billing period and payments made from multiple sources. Payment holds can take up to 10 day to apply to the available credit balance.
XXXX verified : My account was in good standing.
I had this card for XXXX years All payments were made on time and never past due and I never had a payment returned.
Additional Information : All payments made on this credit card, as wells as my Wells Fargo Mortgage, have been issued from the same checking account I have had for over XXXX years.
Payments were made by electronic payment through online bill pay through my credit union OR electronically through Wells Fargo website to issue from my same credit union account.
Wells Fargo 's practice of delaying the posting of my payments has made it so that I can not use my card to make purchases and therefor reducing the amount that I am able to earn as part of the XXXX XXXX XXXX Program.
Wells Fargo has removed the payment holds from my account, but warned if I continue to make more than XXXX payments in a billing cycle before the cycle closes, another payment hold could be placed on my account. The rep offered to set up the account on automatic payment to avoid this occurring in the future. I asked how that would help, if only one payment is made that limits how much I am able to charge in a month.
I was also warned, if I continue to use multiple payment options that could also trigger a payment hold on the account. However the representative informed me they do offer 7 ways to pay the payment.
After an hour and an half on the phone, at this time the payment hold has been lifted and the representative informed me for my troubles they will credit back the interest payment of {$22.00} that I made back in XX/XX/XXXX. This is because I have not recently incurred any interest because I have been paying as I charge in order to avoid interest and keep credit available to charge and earn 1 % XXXX XXXX XXXX.

Problem making or receiving payments
Complaint: Wells Fargo cashed a check with a forged signature, withdrew the money from my account and has failed repeatedly to accept responsibility for the fraudulent transaction and return the funds to my checking account. I have spent hours -- more than ten -- speaking to Wells Fargo representatives by telephone and on hold waiting for them, but no one is willing to resolve the issue. This has gone on for more than a month. I am issued one claim number after another, but half the time I call, the person I speak to ca n't find the number that was given to me. I ordered the check for {$670.00} through the XXXX software on my laptop, and the check was sent on paper by U.S. mail to the Post Office box of the company in Maine that invoiced me for a repair the company had performed. The owner of the company said she never received the check, but it was cashed with an individual 's signature that the owner could not identify. The check was made out to a company, but the endorsement did not bear the company 's name. A copy of the check supplied by the bank is attached to this complaint. Wells Fargo sent the company an affidavit, which the owner said she returned asserting she did not receive or cash the check. I believe Wells Fargo is legally responsible for cashing a check with a fraudulent endorsement and should have returned the money to my account weeks ago. When I try to track down my claim, I get referred to one department after another at the bank, from consumer services to fraud to online payments to XXXX, but no one accepts responsibility, and the issue never gets resolved.
