Complaint: Dear CFTC : please open an official inquiry on Wells Fargo. I am also filing a complaint in the CFTC portal and a complaint with the Federal Reserve. Their mistake and gross negligence has cost me time, denied me access to my money without any cause, and cost me money ( both {$40.00} out of pocket and an estimated lost time of {$600.00} and rising - with each communication ). As background : Wells Fargo offered to replace my card with one it claimed was more secure. I declined and explicitly asked them to leave the card and account as they were - working and good through XX/XX/2017. Instead, contrary to my written request ( see below XXXX, Wells Fargo closed the card. They attempted to force me to receive and to use another card - which would cost me money, time and inconvenience to do so. Rather than admit the mistake and correct it - by returing the card and accounts to their original, Wells Fargo seeks to further inconvenience me and to waste my time. That result is unacceptable. Is is lawful? I want Wells Fargo to re-establish the original and functioning card, which is in my possession now. Also, I want Wells Fargo to reimburse me the {$40.00} of additional car rental cost I incurred because Wells Fargo provided a temporary card - which does not have my name on it. Car rental companies require the name. Otherwise an another driver must be used - which costs $ XXXX+ each day. I just did a XXXX day rental - which is the {$40.00}. In addition to this complaint, I will share the facts of this situation with at least XXXX additional advisor ( either regulator or social media ) in an attempt to expose Wells Fargo 's incompetence or potential lawlessness. Perhaps it 's just poor client service, because apparently they do not read what is written, that merits some financial penalty. Please investigate and advise. I will follow-up this email offline. Best regards, XXXX XXXX. Email : XXXXXXXXXXXXTel. : XXXX [ I prefer written communications so that there is a record, as the Wells Fargo evidence shows below ) NEXT MESSAGE : -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -Team Wells Fargo. Please retain the current Card ( do not open the one that was mailed ). I will arrange to pick-up the new card at a local branch.

Complaint: At approximately XXXX on XXXX XXXX I went to my local Wells Fargo branch in XXXX TX ( located at XXXX XXXX and XXXX ) to obtain a XXXX Signature for an asset transfer form. This was the third time over a several week period that I had visited this branch for service but had been told no one was available. As such, I decided to close out my checking account. I demanded that I receive cash from the account but I was told they do not keep cash on hand to fulfill such requests. When I demanded it again I was told by the clerk that " that 's enough money to get XXXX over ''. They refused to fulfill my demand.

Complaint: I purchased a home in XXXX XXXX, Minnesota through an FHA loan with Wells Fargo. I was relocated for my job and listed the house for sale through a realtor. The house did not sell and my only option was to rent out the home. I had various tenants rent the property and the last tenants damaged the home beyond its value. I took them to court to evict them but unfortunately after they moved out of the property I was unable to locate them therefore I was unable to recoup any damages. I contacted Wells Fargo and spoke with a loan counselor. I was instructed to go through the short sale program and I then sent in the necessary paperwork. I was contacted by a representative at Wells Fargo saying my short sale request had been approved and to put the home on the market at a price Wells Fargo set. Months later I received a letter from Wells Fargo saying the short sale request had now been denied and that Wells Fargo already started foreclosure proceedings. I was informed that there was nothing else I could do. About a year later, I was contacted by a representative with the National Mortgage Settlement Administration and was told I was eligible to take part in a class action lawsuit against Wells Fargo for mishandling the short sale and forcing foreclosure upon the property. Wells Fargo admitted wrongdoing and lost the lawsuit. Over five years later, I am now trying to obtain a new mortgage and am being penalized with loan options because Wells Fargo is still reporting the loan as a foreclosure with a balance owing. I have asked Wells Fargo to look into how the loan is being reported to the credit bureaus and sent the appropriate documentation to them. I was contacted by a representative from Wells Fargo saying that they looked into it and it is being reported correctly. After I questioned the decision, the representative told me she did not look at any of the documentation I had sent. She told me she would reopen the case and get back to me. I have not heard from this representative or anyone else at Wells Fargo in ten days despite leaving numerous voicemails asking for a response. I am requesting help from the CFPB to assist me in getting this information corrected on my credit report so I am able to obtain a new mortgage and have the options available to me that I would otherwise qualify for. My credit and personal financial situation have suffered due to the wrongdoing and mishandling of the loan by Wells Fargo.

Complaint: I found out that a loan I had was with a lender that is void in my state, and that the loan that I had with them was considered void in my state. I notified the lender, XXXX, that the installment loan online I had with them was void in my state, meaning that it should never have been offered to a resident of my state. I also made a letter out to my bank, Wells Fargo, notifying them that the lender was not authorized to debit from my account, and that I wanted them to return monies sent to the originating institution ( lender 's bank ) and to give the ACH transcript for that originating bank. I called the bank to see how to and where top submit my letter on XXXX XXXX. I was told that I had to file a claim over the phone with the bank, which I did, and I asked if they could attach my letter and other documentation to the claim filed so that my request was also in writing. I faxed the letter to the claims department as I was told to do. When I called to called to check on the status of my claim, XXXX XXXX, I also asked to be sure that they had received my documents and letter that was supposed to accompany the claim. The woman I talked to said that she did n't think the investigator has actually looked at or read the letter or other documents, so she said she would send it again with a note, and that I should call back the next day, XXXX XXXX. When I called back on XXXX XXXX, I spoke to a different person, who said that they denied my claim. The banker from the claims department stated that they could not reimburse me because I had signed a contract ( even thought the contract with XXXX is null and void ) and that they had nothing to do with the matter. To get my funds back, I would have to contact the lending company directly. She said that Wells Fargo had rules they had to abide by, and that they had even if the company was working illegally, that they ( Wells Fargo ) would have nothing to do with it. I also never received the ACH transcript that was requested, so that I could request the funds from the originating institution that facilitated a void loan.
