Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Complaint: I have continuously spent time and money writing to XXXX and the other bureaus regarding a Toyota account that was listing incorrect information on my credit report. I had insurance on this lease car ... In NY you cant have a new car without full coverage. I had an accident and this car was totaled and covered by the insurance company ( attached ) .. I noticed my credit report was reflecting this Toyota account incorrectly and I addressed both Toyota and the bureaus regarding this incorrect account. After several months and several written requests, Toyota AND XXXX responded this account is listed 100 % accurate, complete, and verifiable as per FCRA law. Today, several months later, Toyota changes their reporting and send different data to the bureaus. Either they never performed the original investigation, OR they are in violation of 1681i of the FCRA and both Toyota And the credit bureaus are liable in court. I am filing a complaint with my state attorney general and XXXX regarding this issue. If this isnt DELETED in 15 days, I will pursue my legal rights and finalize my FCRA attorney retainer agreement. I have all my written correspondence and the bureaus correspondence.

Struggling to pay your loan

Vehicle loan or lease: Loan

Lender trying to repossess or disable the vehicle
Complaint: Hello Toyota Motor Credit Corporation, I have looked over the Affidavit of Defense To The Creditor form that was sent to me on XX/XX/XXXX. I am contacting you all in my defense. While I understand that you all are the lien holder of the vehicle that Ive had sense XX/XX/XXXX, I have maintained the vehicle at least 4 years now. I only owe a small remaining balance and I believe I can pay the vehicle to the end of term. On the date of XX/XX/XXXX, my car was booted by the City of XXXX due to a personal matter between myself and XXXX regarding a ticket payment plan. The price to recover the vehicle was really high, so the car was towed and impounded by the XXXX of XXXX due to inability to cover funds. On XXXX the XXXX XXXX, I contacted Toyota financial services and notified them of the impound by the City of XXXX. We set up a verbal payment arrangement for the date of XX/XX/XXXX. I have email confirmation from that verbal communication with the card that I do have on file ending in XXXX. Attached is the email. Naturally, I was highly surprised when my vehicle was repossessed from the impound on XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX. I contacted the impound to see what the total cost of the vehicle was. The impound states that the car was already taken by the lien-holder. I contacted Toyota Financial Services on XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX and the representative told me that the car was repossessed by XXXX and towed by XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was told that I had to pay {$840.00} plus {$520.00} impound fees Plus repossession fees. I was told that I had until XXXX XXXX to bring for the funds before Toyota takes complete possession of the vehicle. I had limited funds at the time, and the city of XXXX gave me a hardship because I have section XXXX and food stamps. My payment plan amount was only {$150.00} and some change to start though it was originally quoted a couple XXXX. Next, I contacted Toyota Financial Services on the XXXX of XXXX. I was notified that a payment for {$280.00} was attempted to be debited from my debit card on file on XX/XX/XXXX, and that I only owed the {$560.00} on top of whatever the additional fees were. But then the Representative naturally noticed that the payment did not go through. How is it that there is an attempt to take out a payment on a payment arrangement that we made and my car was still repossessed because Toyota financial thought that the car would be smashed or taken by the city of XXXX? I was never notified that the vehicle would have been taken out of the impound, because to my understanding there was a payment arrangement made when the representative did know that the car was impounded and I made the payment arrangement to save the repossession, in the first place. Now at this point, theres a repossession on top of additional fees for an act that I had no idea, was happening. Now Im in an even deeper hole. I contacted Toyota Financial Services to negotiate extension, they gave me to the XXXX of XXXX, but was then pushed back to the XXXX, once I spoke to a Manager. ( They took almost 72 hours to speak to me though it should have been up to 48 hours, and I had to call ). At the time of the original arrangement I was only behind by two payments and I was willing to figure out how to pay the other two pretty quickly, especially with everything thats been going on with the City of XXXX. I have attempted to sell things, nothing of real worth. My car is my only monetary asset right now. Ive contacted family members and friends. Ive done everything I could to this point. Yet, I believe I was prematurely repossessed when there was an arrangement in place. I was speaking to supervisors and managers and managers managers. I have been trying to figure out what could be done, because the thing thats really holding me back, is honestly the {$990.00}. If I had a payment plan in place, a repossession should not have been made. If the car was never repossessed from the impound, that would have been in my payment plan to the City of XXXX. The fees would have been included. And Toyota Financial Services repossession fees would have been half of that amount of {$990.00}. I was told everything from Weve given you too many extensions! to Youve been repossessed one time already, and youre definitely not eligible for any grace! to Even if you were not ever repeat death, were not extending a payment arrangement of any sort to you at this point. to Sell everything you need to in order to get the money ; we are only helping you with other options. Finally, to take out my XXXX, if I had one. I just completed school. Quite honestly, there was a payment plan in place, I did not expect a repossession from the impound, and I was prematurely repossessed. That is my defense. I am requesting information about the communication that does not need to be had between the customer and Toyota Financial Services with regard to a third-party and a repossession. I do have hardships. Anything could happen within a 60 month period. While I understand that Toyota Financial Services is the lienholder, I am also aware that Im almost paid off. I just want to complete this car note, and have a lien myself. I would like to be the lienholder on the vehicle that Ive had for over four years. Please let me know what could be done as far as some type of payment arrangement. Since all of this has happened I owe one more payment. And this is on top of the {$840.00} that I already had to pay from the day of the impound which was XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX. As a person who is still working on finding a job, but willing to fight to keep the car, to get there, I need something to be done. I owe under {$7000.00} on the car at this time. Please contact me at XXXX or XXXX for further information and detail.

Account status incorrect
Complaint: In XXXX, my leased vehicle was involved in a total loss ( theft ). There was a lot of paperwork basically signing over the car to the insurance company and that they were going to be paying off my vehicle from my lease, etc. Once everything was said and done, I leased a new vehicle without issue. In XXXX of XXXX I applied for a boat loan only to be told that I was declined due to a severely past due balance with Toyota Financial. I was very confused. The strange part is I get my credit report every month and had never seen it. I looked at the report only to find that I had an outstanding balance of {$100.00} that was 14 months past due. I contacted them immediately and they listed out the payments that XXXX and GAP insurance made covering all amount due on the account aside from the {$100.00}. I called my Insurance company only for them to tell me that they paid everything that they were told was owed and they are not responsible. They had no explanation for why there was a remaining balance on the account. Apparently I was responsible for a debt that I was not informed of. I called back Toyota Financial Services and told them that I would pay, but I needed the account to show as if I hadnt missed those payments. The people on the phone acted understanding because the story makes sense and it would appear so in their system as they never made an attempt to contact me regarding the debt or made an attempt to collect the debt. They agreed that they would make the change in their reporting to the credit bureau. I paid the {$100.00}. Months passed, yet it was still on my credit report as Failure to Pay for 14 months. This significantly affected my ability to receive credit at good rates, costing me thousands of dollars. I have never missed a single payment in my entire life. In XXXX, XXXX, I spoke with them on the phone and they were horrified of the story, but told me that the call center has no control over credit disputes and that they cant change the status of any credit reporting. The department that handles that can ONLY be reached by mail. They have no phone number or other form of communication. Lets be real for a second. Does anyone think that this is at all efficient? I digress. I took the time and wrote a nice letter following guides on how to write credit dispute letters online. I wrote a nice letter explaining what happened and what I thought should happen and I got a single line response 2 weeks later saying that they verified its accuracy in reporting to the bureau. I had no idea what that meant, so I wanted to see if anything changed. It did not, so I filed a dispute with Experian to try to right this. They responded the same way that Toyota did. This was very upsetting. I called Toyota Financial Services XX/XX/XXXX again explaining the whole story. The first time they attempted to transfer me to a different department, I was hung up on. I then had to call back and tell my story again and be transferred. I then had to tell my story a third time only to be told that they still had no control. There was no way of anybody speaking to somebody in their credit dispute department. They also found that my account STILL showed as a balance was due. The balance due was {$0.00}. They informed me that they would escalate this to the dispute department so that it would show no balance due, but it is probably because it takes them 60-90 days and I just paid the balance in XXXX. I reminded the agent to check the year on the payment. It was XX/XX/XXXX, not XXXX. They still would not inform me of what they could do about their inaccurate reporting of a failure to pay for 14 months. They said they would escalate my concerns to the dispute department, which has no form of contact aside from hard copy mail. This has gone on to long unresolved. I cant keep falling victim to these companies who have no care for how their actions affect me.

Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Information is missing that should be on the report
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX we returned our leased XXXX to a dealership in XXXX because our 3 year lease ended on that day. In XX/XX/XXXX I learned the the vehicle was never reported returned by that dealership and the dealership was unable to locate the vehicle. In XX/XX/XXXX we went to the dealership to find the car, but the vehicle was not found while on site. Later that day we received a call from the dealership indicating that the vehicle had been found and the dealership agreed to correct the problem. In mid-XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from a collection agency regarding balance on the account. After speaking with the dealership this balance was removed. The issue is that the account seems to indicate that I had a past due amount from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, when the vehicle had been in possession of Toyota the whole time and there should have never been a past due amount on the account.

Complaint: Toyota financial services ( TFS ) reported wrong information on my credit report stating I had a late payment for 30 days. I have never got any letter, call or communication from them stating I am behind in payments. I always made my payments on time and was really surprised or stressed seeing this wrongful information in my credit reports. I contacted Toyota financial telling them to check their information and delete this wrong report but they stated they are unable to do anything about it. I am a responsible U.S. resident who works and pays his bills and taxes on time. This fact made me stressed and I want the Government Agencies to help me to overcome this hard situation and clean my report from these mistakes and make my life better. Complaint: I was not agreed to lease the car, I trade a XXXX paid in full to purchase a new car XXXX but after the next day the finance Agent stated that I have a low score car dealership ( without no prove of it ) and no bank qualified me for a loan therefore, I have to lease the car with their company such is Lexus/Toyota financial services. It's fraud, why? the car was pick up cross off the street in pre-owned XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX, XXXX Florida to damage me intentionally. And, i believe my score was great for paying two cars loan successfully with the same bank. Lexus financial service refused to charged Lexus for the car loan or refund me my expensive, Toyota wanted to be responsible of the loan. It's unfair because I have rights. Florida recognizes two separate theories of recovery for damage occurring as a result of misrepresentation. One basis of recovery is for intentional misrepresentation ( technically, fraud is intentional ) and the other is for negligent misrepresentation. In other words, under Florida law, a party may be liable for misrepresenting a material fact even if the misrepresentation was a mistake, instead of intentional. Florida also seems to recognize a legal theory for " false information negligently supplied for the guidance of others, '' although it is unclear whether it is a claim that is truly separate and distinct from negligent misrepresentation. Under Florida Lemon Law Statutes. F.S.A. 686115. agreement is void and under Federal Trade Commission XXXX Fraudulent misrepresentation, it is a violation for Defendant or Defendant financial institution to tried to collect money or cause Plaintiff more damages in the credit report agencies to stop further credit availability. That will be a shame

Complaint: Toyota Motor Credit Corporation has had a delinquency indicator on my report since XX/XX/2014. I have a XXXX balance. What happened was I paid my vehicle off earlier. I called in for the pay off amount. I made the payment they provided to me. A month later they send me a payment but I naturally thought it was paid off. Come to find out later, they were sending me a bill for finance charges still unpaid for the last month of my loan. I tried to dispute the late charges and they refused. I was late due to the dispute that is why it went 90 days. They were unwilling to work with me on this issue. Five years later it is still on my credit report. Complaint: I filed for bankruptcy in XX/XX/19 I exempted by car loan and have made regular payments. Toyota Financial Services has cashed by checks and admits that the payments have been made. However, it reported to the credit bureaus that the loan was discharged. It was not and as the company has accepted by payments, it is illogical to state that the loan has been discharged as I have not defaulted on the loan. If I ever do, then Toyota Financial Services can report the discharge. It can not anticipate a default.

Complaint: My XXXX XXXX was totaled in a hit and run accident. My insurance company paid the leasing company ( Toyota motor credit ) in full. The leasing company is saying i owe them XXXX. They never sent me any letters, calls, or emails regarding this. I've also talked to my insurance company ( XXXX ) and they said they accepted the check in full and there was no problem. My claims rep said they agreed on the settlement and it was dealt with. Now, there's a charge-off/derogatory on my credit report from the leasing company. This is incorrect.. if my account was paid in full by the insurance, why do i owe anything? Lexus financial when you take out a car, includes Gap insurance.. and they covered any remaining expenses.
