Complaint: I have had TD Bank for a few years now. In XX/XX/XXXX the United States XX/XX/XXXX me overseas where I was stationed from early XX/XX/XXXX until the middle of XX/XX/XXXX . While Overseas I did not have access to my checking account or online access to notify of any unusual transactions. Upon returning back to America on XX/XX/XXXX I called into my bank only to be notified that my account had been closed due to overdraft.

Complaint: On my XXXX 2016 credit card statement ( TD Ameritrade Client Rewards ), I noticed XXXX charges of {$150.00} each made out of state at a time when I had n't left my hometown. I called the card issuer and reported it as a fraudulent/unauthorized charge. I submitted all my evidence in writing and was informed it was likely a counterfeit card since there was no signature obtained. They promised they would investigate it and would not bill me for the XXXX charges. It was forwarded to the Fraud Investigation unit. Since then, it has been 18 months and there has been no action taken. I have called every 2-3 months to TD and they keep saying that the last action was XXXX 2016 and they apologize for the delay. Yet the charges keep showing on my statement and have not been resolved.

Complaint: I sent in a payment of {$630.00} to my TD Ameritrade credit card on XXXX / XXXX /2017. The check cleared on XXXX / XXXX /2017. The payment never posted to my TD account, so I called card services to explain the issue. They told me to fax them a copy of the check. I did this, and called them twice or so weekly for a month or two until they told me to send it again. I sent it again, did the same thing for a month or two, then I got a letter telling me to mail in the copy of the check because they " did n't have enough information '' ( even though I provided them with every bit of information they requested from me ). After mailing it in, an calling multiple times per week for a month or so, they finally confirmed that they have the copy of the check. They say that even though I provided them proof that I payed them, that they can not locate the check, and continuously tell me to call again later/re-send in the copy of the check. I have provided this company proof that I sent the check to them, and that they cashed it, but they continue to not post the payment to my account, which has been accumulating interest fees and late fees for 7 months now. They tell me that if they mistake s on their end that they will reimburse the fees and fix my credit score, but they have zero effort to do so. It is well past the point of negligence on their part.

Complaint: I had a credit card processing deposit money in my checking account and the bank refuse to release the money to me. They have given m e 5 different reasons as to why they are not releasing the money. I have gone to the bank on 3 d ifferent occasions and each time they tell me they require something different. The last requirement was they told me I needed a XXXX because I deposited a business check from my husband 's business. I brought the XXXX now they are telling me in order to get my money back I have to open a business account. They have been holding my money since XX/XX/XXXX refusing to return it to me. I expressed my concern that they are tying up my money and requested they return it to the processing company or give it to me THEY REFUSE. They are telling me when a Branch manager gets back from vacation he might be able to release it. They have caused me stress and are costing me money. They had no problem processing anything for 8 months. The problems started when I reported them to you for excessive fees. I feel they are looking for any and every excuse to tie up my money in retaliation for reporting them. They have a fraud department that you cant speak to anyone then they change the rules eve ry 5 mi nutes. If they suspect fraud on the deposits then just return them but they claim they cant

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, we opened a credit card line with XXXX/TD Bank ( XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX, NJ ). The plan was to pay off the balance, interest-free, by XX/XX/XXXX. We set up auto bill pay with slightly above the averaged amount owed. We never received e-statements, and we received a random paper statement once or twice a year. Periodically, the online system would n't work when we logged in, and we would be unable to view our statement. We called once, and a lady told us that they sent out paper statements when the online account was n't working. We did n't think much of it as we had figured out the monthly payment to get everything taken care of in good time. <P/>At the last statement received, we calculated the pay-off amount and made our final payment on XX/XX/XXXX. We miscalculated by {$.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX, a letter was mailed to our old address and forwarded to us. We had just moved that same month and did n't change our address with XXXX/TD Bank, because we thought we had paid off the balance. The letter was forwarded by USPS to us on XX/XX/XXXX, I believe, stated that we owed {$91.00}. The due date was XX/XX/XXXX, by the way. <P/>We called and requested a bill from XX/XX/XXXX, since that would have been the next month after our last payment. It just arrived today, and it showed {$.00} plus a {$27.00} late fee from XX/XX/XXXX payment. <P/>I called and talked with XXXX ( sp? ), who told me that the payment in XX/XX/XXXX was late ( though bill pay had never paid a late fee in four years! ). He told me that he could n't resolve the other fees, and I would have to talk to someone else. I spoke with XXXX ( agent XXXX - I swear I thought he said " XXXX '' when he answered the phone ), and he told me that they were sending us e-statements to our email address on file. We have every email from them - totaling ONE that they sent us the month after we opened the account in XX/XX/XXXX!. I asked him to check and let me know which email address they were using, and he put me on hold. After a few minutes, he came back on and told me that someone deleted the email address from our online account and requested paper statements, so he could n't tell me what email address was on our account. I asked him why we were n't receiving paper statements consistently ( we would randomly get one or two a year ). He told me they never got returned emails or paper bills so I had to be getting them. I told him that the lack of returned mail does n't mean they sent it, and I asked him why someone would make monthly payments for four years and suddenly disregard {$.00} and rack up a bill. He told me that the fees were legitimate, and I owed them. <P/>Now, I have many questions : 1. Why would bill pay take care of every single payment on time for four years ( for this company and every other we 've set it up for ) and suddenly pay it late when it means I am about to go outside my free interest period and start racking up crazy interest? 2. Why could I get a bill that has three months of late fees but not get a monthly bill immediately after I " miss '' a payment? 3. Why could XXXX not tell me what email address was associated with our account? Telling me that it was " turned off by someone '' does n't mean that it disappears from their records - they surely know everything about me! 4. Why would XXXX tell me they have been sending me emails and then tell me they do n't have an email when I press him to tell me what address they were using? 5. Why would XXXX tell me someone JUST ( with an emphasis on " just '' ) made that email change to our account when I pressed him. If that is the case, there would be a digital record of four years of emails, right? Moreover, this email account has been the ONLY email account for all of our bills for nearly 20 years. 6. As I stated earlier, why would we pay four years of bills on time and just suddenly stop paying attention to {$.00} and a late fee of {$27.00}? 7. Why is this, as XXXX said, a bunch of legitimate fees? How can they keep charging me without billing me? 8. The collection letter says that " we have attempted to contact you on several occasions. '' We do n't have a single voicemail from them. If they saw that the email was n't there, why did n't someone call if they really wanted their money? Maybe they were willing to wait and try to get more? <P/>This sounds like I am getting robbed, and I think it is unconscionable what XXXX is doing. This was the same account for which we were charged a " hidden fee '' and TD was forced to pay us and others back a year or two ago.

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX, my son ( a XXXX XXXXt at XXXX ) made two purchases ( gas ) using the TD bank credit card I gave him. The bills are mailed to me at my home in XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I always pay them on time. However, I spend the time from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX in XXXX. I fill out a change of address form with the US Postal Service and all my bills are forwarded to me. For reasons I can not fathom, TD Bank does not allow their bills to be forwarded. I got my bills from XXXX, etc but nothing from TD Bank. In XX/XX/XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX I got a call from a TD Bank rep who was a bill collector, telling me I was 90 days delinquent in paying my bill. I told her I had never gotten a bill, nor any notice that I was delinquent. She checked and said the bills had been returned to TD Bank as undeliverable. I told her that was impossible, my mail is forwarded to my XXXX address, and I had been receiving all my bills ( credit card, insurance, electric, etc. ) She said TD Bank does not allow their bills to be forwarded " to guard against fraud ''. I asked how much had been charged to the account in puchases, and she said {$71.00}, which I paid immediately. But she said I owed late payment fees and interest charges. I asked them to waive those fees, as the reason I was late was their refusal to allow the bill to be forwarded. They refuse. The late fees and penalties now exceed {$130.00} ( with interest the amount they claim I now owe is {$130.00}. I have called at least three times but they refuse to waive the penalties and interest. I am now getting threatening letters and phone calls ( they say they will report me to a credit bureau ). it is absurd for them to CAUSE me to be late by preventing my bill from being forwarded, and then seek to collect penalty fees that dwarf any interest charges. And I paid the purchases in full! Please help me. The bank is totally unresponsive and is demanding I pay them all these penalty fees.

Complaint: A little over a year ago I chose to update my Nordstrom store debit card to a Nordstrom store credit card. When I applied for this change I was asked if I wanted the store card or the Nordstrom Visa credit card, which is a general use credit card that would earn Nordstrom points. I declined the general credit card and stated the store credit card was sufficient. About a week ago I received a letter in the mail from Nordstrom that ordinarily I would have discarded and not read - thankfully I read this one. It was a letter telling me that because I was a valued customer my store credit card was being upgraded to the Nordstrom Visa credit card. The letter outlined all the changes that would occur as a result of the credit offer and also informed me that unless I called to decline the offer by a certain date, the upgrade would take place and the new card issued. I called and declined the offer which was all done using an IVR so I was n't about to discuss my concerns with an associate. I also alerted Nordstrom as to my thoughts around this bait & switch tactic via a direct message on XXXX. It 's important to note that no other method of contact was used to alert me of this credit offer. No phone call, no email - I even checked my Nordstrom store card account, which I check monthly to verify the auto pay, and there was no alert in my profile. The envelope was not marked urgent and could have easily been discarded by most consumers.

Complaint: I had a vehicle financed through TD Auto Finance ( formerly Chrysler ). I tried to get them to refinance the loan due to the high payments and me being unemployed at the time. They refused, I took the vehicle to the location that I purchased it from and let them know that they could pick it up form there. The vehicle was auctioned off and the remaining balance was charged off to the tune of {$10000.00} in 2011. Every other month they list the account as Open and add {$20.00} or so dollars to the balance. I have had XXXX XXXX to try to get this corrected and even filed disputes with the credit bureaus. They still add charges to the account. This is the original creditor, they have not sold the debt to a collector and they have made no attempts to contact me. I offered them {$500.00} as a settlement and they would not accept it. They did let me know that the balance is around {$1000.00} when I called them. I just do not understand how they can keep adding to the balance and the account was charged off 6 years ago and they have not attempted to contact me. They have invested no resources into trying to remain in contact with me.

The perpetrator ( who said his name is XXXX XXXX or XXXX? ... ) left me a voicemail claiming that he wanted to send a notice out to me and he wanted to advise me that it had to be signed for upon delivery. He left a number to call back XXXX and told me to use reference number XXXX, when I called he claimed that I was going to have my paychecks garnished by TD Bank. I do n't owe TD bank any money and my account was closed for inactivity back in XX/XX/XXXX/XX/XX/XXXX. I do n't know what is going on but this must be some kind of scam. Attached is a copy of the voicemail audio.
