Complaint: I noticed on Sunday morning XXXX XXXX, 2015 that {$750.00} was missing out of my checking account and that there were XXXX transactions on XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX that I did not make. I opened my correspondence from TCF Bank that arrived on Saturday XXXX XXXX, 2015 and found a new check attached to a letter stating that a merchant where I used my check card had a security breach and that I should activate the new card immediately. I did so. I was told by TCF Bank that I should ask to have the fraudulent charges from the merchants reversed and to get police reports in XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. I also had the video put on hold so that the investigators can have an opportunity to secure the video for prosecution. I have spent numerous hours on the phone with TCF Customer Service, TCF Fraud, and TCF Visa Payment Dept. I want to know ( and deserve to know ) who had the security breach. I should be told this information so that I can make an informed decision based on all the facts of whether I want to continue to do business with this merchant. The merchant should not be making this decision for me. I was also told to write a letter and put all of this information including all of my police report numbers and a statement that I did not make, authorize, or benefit in any way from these transactions. After receiving the letter, TCF would have up to XXXX business days to review the information and decide IF they were going to give me my money back. It was scheduled for the week of XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX aired my story on Sunday XXXX XXXX, 2015 and right before it aired a TCF representative XXXX XXXX made promises to me that he has failed to keep. He did return my money to me but not until Monday XXXX XXXX, 2015. XXXX XXXX will not tell me who had the security breach or return my phone calls or voicemail messages or follow through on any of the promises he made to me. The thieves made new check cards with my information on them and different names. They were also able to change the telephone number on my account without my permission so that so that they could authorize their own purchases. TCF told me they can not tell when they changed the phone number. I never received any notification of this change ( no email, txt, or snail letter to my house ). TCF said they would open an investigation that would take 3 days - that was on XXXX XXXX and I still have not heard anything back from them.

Complaint: I got a chargeback from XXXX and they paid the money to the bank and the bank claims they never got the money.XXXX explained that they gave me the money to the bank and they did that when I involved federal agencies.XXXX has no reason to lie but TCF does not want to co-operate.

Complaint: Gateway One XXXX calls me several times per day on my cell phone ( as listed on my appliction ) and also calls references such as my family and discloses my financial information to them if I am more than 5 days late on my payment. The major issue is and the reason for my complaint is that they called a customer service number listed online for my employer. So it happens that I am in charge of the Customer Service team that answers that toll free number listed for my employer XXXX XXXX. This is very embarrassing and should never take place. I do not list XXXX XXXX on my application for credit and Gateway One is not doing business with XXXX XXXX so why are they calling XXXX XXXX? Their contract is with me and I should only be contacted at the # i provided to them XXXX.

Complaint: I 'm am submitting a complaint against TCF Bank and their ridiculous overdraft fees that they themselves are controlling. I can not understand how when I write checks at a local supermarket that has daily deposits my bank can hold onto checks until my account draws low enough to that when the check clears I will overdraw. This has happened to me countless times. Last week I was charged an overdraft fee XXXX minutes after using my card, which I had done all day. I went to TCF and asked how this was possible and they told me I did n't have sufficient funds. Then how was I able to use my card all day if I did n't have money in my account? Conveniently, this has led to an additional XXXX overdraw charges at {$37.00} each. I am currently overdrawn by {$78.00} with another charge coming. All stemming from their incorrect charge a week ago. I am seeking for them to replace the {$220.00} in overdraft fees they have caused in the past weeks. I also would like an explanation how XXXX check can clear in 3 days, while another at the same location takes 8 days, and then XXXX other checks that were written 5 days apart can clear on the exact same day? I am fed up with this establishment stealing my money and crushing my life. I 'm trying to raise XXXX children and help my struggling fianc and as it stands now we wo n't be able to afford our rent payment thanks to this big bank.

Complaint: i have an account with TCF bank, on XXXX/XXXX/15 I purchased shoes from website, in thein the amount of {$170.00}, the items were out of stock, so I requested refundon XXXX/XXXX/15, and since then back and forth with this merchant to refund me, finally 10 days ago or more, the merchant stated they refunded me for the full amount, but TCF bank insisting that there is no refund, and they are requesting me to ax them information proving the communication between me and the merchant, I faxedthe info 3 times, and keep saying its not showing received and they are investigating the issue ..I am the victim and they are holding my money, when actually I showed the solid proof that the merchant stating they refunded me and my bank have the moneyto tell you the truth, I do n't know who to believe anymore, its been 2 months ...

Complaint: The bank assessed fees of {$35.00} for overdraft and also a {$27.00} a day fee for the account which they are now trying to sue me for. These fees are obsurd and also saying they paid when they did not pay, and they said they did the overdraft protection is discrecionary and nothing was approved or paid.
