Complaint: I am a victim of Identity theft and I have sent numerous letters, copies of personal identification information and police reports in regards to someone stealing my identity and opening up a checking account with TCF Bank. TCF Bank has not removed or cleared my name from the fraudulent checking accounts that was opened at TCF bank by someone who stole my identity.

Complaint: I was charged overdrafts on my bank account for previously pending charges while still being allowed by my bank to withdraw {$180.00} out of a check that I had just deposited for {$500.00} their claim was by letting me have the {$180.00} it made my pending authorized purchases Invalid and that I was charged a overdraft fee for every purchase even though I still had the same check which I was allowed to purchase {$180.00} worth of merchandise on in my account if it was good enough to cover that it should also have covered the XXXX prior purchases which came to a combined total of {$11.00} also in addition to this my monthly social security checks were also entered my account for a total of {$750.00} all of this activity occurred on XXXX/XXXX/2015. The reason that I know how much I was authorized to spend out of the {$500.00} check that I deposited was because the initial total of my merchandise came to {$310.00} when I swipped my ATM card it only authorized me {$190.00} so I had the purchase voided and the {$190.00} put back on my card I then choose {$180.00} worth of merchandise which I was allowed to purchase, but before depositing the check and with everything pending I still had {$1.00} in my account. When I went to the bank about the overdrafts, I was given XXXX different explanation over the course of two days, first by the teller initially, who said it was because I made a purchased of {$6.00} on XXXX/XXXX/2015 I then asked to speak with the manager he was busy, so after waiting about a half hour the assistant manager said she would look at it she gave me an entirely different explanation, telling me that they really did me a favor by letting me have the {$180.00}. Becaused the check had not cleared this was on XXXX/XXXX/2015. I returned on XXXX/XXXX/2015 this time I met with the manager who gave me still a different explanation but advised me to take the overdraft protection of my account and said that he would refund XXXX of the overdrafts.

Complaint: This debt continues to show on my credit report. It is over XXXX years old. I contacted Gateway 1 ( Gateway one ) to explain the debt issue in XX/XX/XXXX, which is I signed for a vehicle for a family which after three months decided not to pay I gave them all of their information Social security numbers addresses and phone numbers.. Prior to that I contacted Gateway to find out what I should do, and was advised to turn the car into the nearest XXXX Dealership which I did in XX/XX/XXXX. The debt continues to show on my credit.

Complaint: I have a car loan through : Gateway One Lending & FinanceXXXX XXXX XXXX TX, XXXXI believe this company has obtained information about my relatives to use to contact me illegally. I am requesting an attempt be made to find out how they were able to contact relatives to get in touch with me, when I never gave them information. This is a classic case of what the CFPB has tried to put a stop to from past episodes of badgering by lenders. This company has contacted my Grandfather who is a retired XXXX XXXX and his information is protected from the public. This is completely unacceptable for a Lender to badger relatives. I did not give their information to this company. I was out of the country while this was going on.This company said they did not have to divulge their protocol for finding out information about Borrowers. I asked to speak with a supervisor, but am not confident that I actually spoke with one.

Complaint: After conducting some regular business transactions ( wires, check deposits ) TCF National Bank closed my accounts and reported me to XXXX. TCF has not provided any detailed information as to why they reported me to XXXX other than I was supposedly involved in Suspected Fraud Activity. I am now unable to open checking accounts with any Bank. This issue is causing severe challenges with me being able to pay my regular bills and having a basic checking or savings account. I have not been involved in any fraud whatsoever and want my name cleared of any wrongdoing. I have disputed this information with the TCF Bank and with XXXX several times and have not been able to have my information cleared.

Complaint: TCF Bank sold me a terrible loan in 2006 under the terms of 7.25 % for 40 years with zero money down. I was likely taken advantage of, but nonetheless I did sign to the terms. I 've never missed a payment since, and I 've called to refinance. They will not refinance my loan because my LTV ration is not 20 % or greater. Because of the loan structure, in 9 years I 've only paid {$6000.00} in principal. Other banks would be happy to work with me and refi, but my home does n't appraise for the XXXX ratio. My loan does n't qualify for HARP either. I 've asked TCF to work with me and adjust my loan but they wo n't, and wo n't return my calls. I even mailed them a letter. I feel very much stuck, as I ca n't refinance and/or sell unless I want to bring over {$30000.00} to closing.

Complaint: I got a receipt today at TCF Bank which was very, very deceptive.The available balance included my overdraft protection account, BUT NO WHERE ON THE RECEIPT DOES IT STATE THAT THIS BALANCE INCLUDES THAT ACCOUNT.It is so easy to see they are trying to rip people off, as they will mistakenly believe more money is available than they actually have, and will overspend and get charged fees and a high interest rate on money they think is theirs.Anyone who has already overspent because of this egregious deception should be reimbursed immediately!!! ( the XXXX and XXXX will surely be most victimized ) TCF Bank should be ashamed of their unlawful business practices and I hope a lawsuit is on the way.
