Complaint: My Name is XXXX XXXX XXXX. I live at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX TX XXXX. I purchased a XXXX XXXX from " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' XXXX in XXXX TX. This transaction occurred on the 21 day of XXXX 2017. XXXX XXXX XXXX financed the sell and they obtained the necessary hard credit inquiry. In addition to XXXX XXXX inquiring into my credit, " Gateway One Lending & Finance '' a tcf bank company, also pulled my credit score. Also, on or about XXXX XXXX, 2017 " XXXX '' placed a hard inquiry which appeared on both XXXX and XXXX. Both credit bureaus decreased my credit score as a result of these inquiries. I have contacted both agencies and both agencies are not willing to delete the hard inquiry despite evidence, in the form of a letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX, indicating they were in error and requested that the inquiry be deleted. As you will see in the enclosed letter, they speak of me a being a " Valued and Loyal '' customer. In fact, XXXX 2017 I purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX and financed it through XXXX XXXX XXXX. So there really was a need to seek financing as I had it already previously secured and XXXX XXXX XXXX routinely do business with XXXX XXXX XXXX. I will submit a letter from " Gateway One Lending & Finance which has all of the information that I speak about. The " XXXX '' in a large lending institution who inquire for mortgage lenders, automotive sellers and other entities. I do not have their address or other information. I did get their phone number from the internet. I would appreciate any and all assistance that you can provide in this matter. Thanking you in advance, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

Complaint: My bank has a new Digital Banking login, it is hard to understand and does not show balance after transactions or pending payments in a way that helps show how transactions are being posted. I was expecting to get XXXX overdraft fee this month, instead I have gotten XXXX . This is because they pay the highest amount item first and the smaller amounts after causing the fees to be {$200.00}!!!! They should really get an account at XXXX XXXX and see how an online banking account should work. The fees are out of control and should not be allowed, I need a refund of all but XXXX of these fees as soon as possible!

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I bought a XXXX XXXX from a local dealership and financed the vehicle through Gateway One Lending. On XX/XX/XXXX of the same year, I was involved in a collision which resulted in my vehicle being declared a total loss by XXXX , which is my insurance carrier. At the time, I was 3 months delinquent on my car payments due to unforeseen hardships. <P/> On XX/XX/XXXX my XXXX insurance adjuster called Gateway One and reached a representative in collections who was assigned to my account. For now, I will now release her name. She gave my insurance a ten-day payoff quote of {$15000.00} to pay off the vehicle. Just a few days prior, I had checked my ten-day payoff amount online and obtained a quote exceeding {$16000.00} ( approximate, ) so the moment my insurance adjuster discussed the total he was quoted I became suspicious. He proceeded to issue a check for the amount he was given over the phone, which by the way, was processed by Gateway One just before they surrendered the title to XXXX . <P/> A couple days went by and I was still having an unsettled feeling about the different payoff quotes so I called Gateway One and reached this same agent. She confirmed that {$15000.00} was the amount she quoted, but maintained that I still had a remaining balance. Obviously disagreeing, I argued that in the finance world and insurance world, a ten-day payoff means you are paying off the entire balance of the loan, so I could n't understand how she could quote anything other than that. The exact verbage on Gateway One 's website regarding the calculation of ten-day payoffs states " The payoff on a simple interest account equals the principal balance, plus any finance charges accrued and any other outstanding fees. '' With this said, I do n't see how there was any confusion or gray area. This agent was very nasty toward me -- making threats and scolding me for being irresponsible in my payments on the vehicle. She talked badly about my insurance adjuster, claiming he should have sent the check electronically and not by postal mail and requesting his contact information from me. The depth of her unprofessional behavior and condescending remarks toward me gave me the impression that for some strange reason, she took it personally that I would not be making payments out of pocket, but that the insurance was paying off this vehicle. <P/> I called my XXXX adjuster back to report this information and double-check my facts. He assured me this was the amount quoted and at the time of their conversation no other fees or balance were discussed. To date, Gateway One can not provide me with any justification for a remaining balance, yet around the first of XXXX they reported I owe them {$1300.00}, which was 90 days delinquent and reported the full balance of the loan of over {$15000.00} as an active debt, which is inaccurate, and as of XX/XX/XXXX , still remains on my credit report. As luck would have it, I was monitoring my credit report actively after my conversation with the agent. The information was updated at least twice after the check from XXXX cleared. There is NO REASON the correct information should not be there. I have been denied credit multiple times, including having not one bank accept my application in my current car search because they all take this credit report entry seriously and believe Gateway One 's word over mine. <P/> I want Gateway One 's entry removed from my credit report at once! It is manipulative, erroneous and detrimental to my status as a consumer. I will not accept that I have to wait while an investigation is conducted when I am providing ample proof that this was not a simple mistake, nor is a valid debt.

Complaint: I have an app called XXXX in which I can deduct money from the hours I have already worked and deposit it into my account. However the app has to see that I got paid via direct deposit. The bank lags or takes its sweet time to update and post the direct deposit information. Sometimes it can take as long by as 2 business days. Other banks like chase update their information much much quicker

Complaint: XXXX XXXX here ... <P/>I noticed the suit in process for TCF BANK who I 've used for 3-4 years now as my personal bank. Due to actions that reduced my income dramatically and right b-4 my discharge from My job I had gave up all my savings to help my XXXX year old brother with major hospital expenses and his personal bills etc a few years back.Then about 7 months pass and my XXXX yr old grandmother XXXX her XXXX. That completely drained me and I 've been financially drained because of this I have had several overdraft fees ( definitely more than their avg clients ) a rather large amount of overdraft fees. Here 's my problem mainly. They would honor a payment to a company I owe if I was short in my account, charge me the {$37.00} overdraft fee sometimes more than once and then they would kick or take back the payment they honored from that company ( adding more fees and problems ) and STILL CHARGE ME ALL THOSE FEES.. Never reversing them! Not even after reversing the payment they honored then after a few days took back!!! It 's embarrassing but life was much better before TCF. Complaint: I first made a complaint against TCF Bank on X/XX/17. That complaint, which has not been resolved, is at the bottom of this. <P/>I complained that they opened up my account under the wrong name. I have tried to work this out with them via their phone number, the website and the local office. When I went in to the local office in XXXX, MI, they had me do a " name change '' form, when they are the ones who screwed up my name to begin with. I opened the account under my name of " XXXX XXXX XXXX '', they opened the account under " XXXX XXXX XXXX ''. This is not my name and I have never heard of this, TCF screwed it up. This was in late XXXX 2017, I made a complaint in XXXX 2017, they replied with it was a complete mystery to them how this happened and it was not their fault. They had the bank account and the debit card with the wrong name. They never fixed it. My account now in XXXX XXXX 2017 still has the WRONG NAME of " XXXX XXXX XXXX '', they claimed that they did n't do this, but they sure have not ever fixed it. I told them to close this account. I have asked them in person, on the phone and in writing to Close My Account since they can not manage the simple task of having a customer 's name correct. It is still open. And under the wrong name. I want this account closed. The employees at this company are completely irresponsible, unprofessional, morons. I want this account closed. <P/>Original Complaint : " I opened up a personal checking account with TCF Bank online on X/XX/17. They requested a supposed " credit check '', which I submitted to, but have never received the results of this supposed credit check. On X/XX/17 TCF Bank said via email that my account was opened, I received nothing. On X/XX/17 they told me via email that my debit card was in the mail. I received this debit card on X/X/17, which had the wrong name on it! I have absolutely no idea how TCF Bank came up with this wrong name after supposedly doing a credit check. The name was not XXXX XXXX XXXX, but instead is XXXX XXXX XXXX! Who is that? I have no idea. On that same date, I called their 800 number. They told me to go into the local bank and that they could change it and issue me a new card. I told them that the local bank could not print out a new debit card, but their on the phone support said that they could. I went into the TCF Bank located at : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, MI XXXX on this same date, which again was X/X/17. I took in the card and ID, told them it had the wrong name, they had no idea what I was talking about. They got that particular bank manager to come over, she had no clue what I was talking about. The wrong name! So they had me fill out a name change form. Why? I have no idea. Because they do not know what they are doing at this location either. I did the name change form. They said a new card with the correct name would be mailed out in 2 business days. Fast forward a week later, no card and name on account is still wrong. I call the 800 number for TCF Bank on X/XX/17, she calls the local bank in XXXX, MI. The location in XXXX, MI never even sent in this name change form! So it was sitting at this office for an entire week, with my personal information on it, plus my Social Security number. This is outrageous for a bank! Who trains these idiots? The lady on the phone says again, the name will be changed in 2 business days and a new card mailed out. It is currently X/XX/17 and I just logged into my TCF Bank account, the name is still wrong! It is still listed as XXXX XXXX XXXX. This is direct deposit from Social Security. This is a lump sum for XXXX XXXX XXXX because I am XXXX, as per the Federal Govt. figured out. I do not appreciate being treated like this by TCF Bank. I currently do not have access to my funds either! I do not have any ID to match to the account or the bank debit card that says my name is XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have given them over a week and a half for a simple name change, that should not have been wrong in the first place. It is still wrong. ''

Complaint: I 'm only aware that my TCF Bank account is " Closed '' because I stumbled across it online and pursued further explanation. <P/>I spoke to customer service and confirmed my savings balance. I was also told that my account was " Closed '' at this time because without a transaction in 12 months, an account with TCF is " dormant '' and a transaction can not be completed online. Further, I was told that an account is deemed un-owned and the funds seized to the state at 24 months without a transaction. <P/>This account was sold to me as ideal for my goal : saving for emergencies, along with earning monthly interest. Thus, the goal = no transactions. <P/>So in addition to this not being disclosed upon opening the account nor outlined in policies, I have received not one notification about my account 's " Closed '' status - and the potential risk. I receive monthly hard-copy statements at my home address.
