Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, a transaction began pending on my account from XXXX in the amount of {$47.00}. At that time, the total available funds in the account were {$63.00}. The transaction posted successfully on XXXX leaving a balance of {$15.00} ; the same day, a transaction from XXXX XXXX began pending on the account for {$26.00}. I checked my account that day and saw 2 transactions pending on the account, one for {$26.00}, and an overdraft fee for {$37.00}. At that time, I assumed that the overdraft fee was for the pending transaction for {$26.00} from XXXX XXXX. I called TCF with the intention of transferring funds into the account to cover the {$11.00} that the account was overdrawn hoping that the overdraft fee would be removed. Upon speaking to the TCF agent, I was informed that the overdraft fee was for the XXXX transaction that had posted that day, and that a second overdraft fee would be assessed for the XXXX XXXX transaction. When I asked how they could possibly charge an overdraft fee for a transaction that had posted with sufficient funds to cover the amount and leave an available balance, the TCF agent told me that, even though the transaction posted leaving an available balance, the bank had re-directed funds away from the posted transaction to cover the pending transaction because the transaction for {$26.00} from XXXX XXXX began pending on the account the same day. Later, on XXXX, I called TCF again to inform them that the transaction from XXXX XXXX had actually posted in error. The first agent I spoke with told me that I could dispute the transaction after it posted, and that if the merchant agreed to credit the account, the associated overdraft fees would also be credited back to the account. I called the merchant ( XXXX XXXX ) to let them know about the error, and that per the bank agents instructions I would dispute the transaction. The merchants representative said that they would make a note on the account and they would be happy to work with me to resolve the issue. On XXXX, 2 transactions posted to the account - the {$37.00} overdraft charge for the XXXX transaction, and the transaction for {$26.00} from XXXX XXXX leaving the account overdrawn by {$48.00}. ( Please refer to screenshot TCF1 ) I called TCF to dispute the XXXX XXXX transaction. The agent transferred me to a team leader who was extremely rude and refused to help me with the dispute. I asked her if the overdraft fees would be credited to the account if the merchant agreed to credit the account without filing a dispute and she stated that the overdraft fees would be reversed. After the difficulty dealing with TCF agents, I was able to rectify the error with the merchant. The Customer Service Manager at XXXX XXXX agreed to credit my account for {$26.00}. On XXXX, another {$37.00} overdraft fee posted to the account, leaving the account overdrawn by {$85.00}, then, on XXXX, a credit for {$26.00} from XXXX XXXX posted to the account which left the account overdrawn by {$58.00}. This amount clearly reflects that there was an available balance due on the account when the overdraft fees were charged ( $ XXXX $ XXXX {$74.00}, {$74.00} - $ XXXX {$58.00} ). ( Please refer to screenshot TCF2 ) Firstly, TCF bank had no right to charge an overdraft fee for the XXXX transaction on XXXX ; I believe that they should credit my account {$37.00} for this fee. Secondly, TCF has not credited my account for the overdraft fee for the XXXX XXXX transaction as multiple agents stated that they would ; they should credit my account {$37.00} for this fee as well. The total credits to which I am entitled total {$74.00} and should bring my account balance back to {$15.00}. ( Please refer to screenshot TCF3 )

Complaint: TCF bank has charged me {$1200.00} in overdraft fees in the last four months. The reorder of debit card transactions causes them to be able to charge several fees. Most banking institutions no longer practice this abusive way of taking advantage of their customers. XXXX XXXX XXXX does not do this nor many large banks. I have been a customer for a very long time and do not want to have to switch all my bills and direct deposits around. I want my money back as this is extremely excessive!

Complaint: Tcf bank has been giving same problem. I opted out of overdraft but they will charge a fee then claim to waive it only for me to find it on my statement. The account was set up for my XXXX XXXX son benefits. I have been suspicious as when i opened the account the rep took a duplicate colored picture of my social security card and drivers ' license. I noticed and caught on to something finally when there was a lump amount of back pya released from us treasury onto my sons ' account. So i finally see that the regular payment that was deposited later seemed to be missing and the amounts did not add up. The printout from branch to branch should match up right? Wrong. My mailed statement does not have the same transaction as what the teller gave me after typing in some sort of word excel document then printing out a statement for me. I called customer service and when i questioned fraud was hung up on. the rep said they only saw 1 transaction of 150 dollar transfer yet my statement is showing two and one for 100 that i do n't recognize and the ones i do n't recognize seem to total to the amount of the regular issued check that i wasnt aware of. The rep acknowledged that if my statements are different from what they see there would be an investigation. I have not had any correspondence yet and they are refusing to dispute the transaction that i show them is not adding up to the regular mailed bank statement and nor are the online transactions adding up. The online looks like a powerpoint or excel document where it can be easily edited amount and merchant?! The transfers normally would show the customer what account money is being transferred to so when i call i question but on their end they claiming its going to my checking on my statements it lists the account if and when i make a transfer to what account its going to. The transactions in question are not listing the accounts being transferred to yet they say they see it on their end but my bank statements show the transaction with the account that im familiar with. The ones that do n't have the account number are the transactions i do n't recognize. My son has XXXX and i opened this account thinking i could trust tcf but something obviously fishy is going on here. They also today claimed there was a call in transfer from savings to checking when i said it wasnt me they changed the story and said it was an online reoccuring transfer that i did not do because i was always locked out of online until today i have not had access to my online account. The representatives kept making different excuses everytime i presented evidence that the transactions do n't match. i have statements from 2 different branches assuming they have the same information yet they do not match up. How long has this been happening?! They get upset as well and threaten to close the account when i said i suspect some kind of fraud! I do n't know how they are able to generate false statements but i feel they have been deceiving me and taking advantage of my situation assuming i wouldnt pay attention but i do n't understand. Please help as it is clear that somehow money is being stolen from my XXXX XXXX childs ' account and or possible mixup. Also the account keeps being changed so they charged maintenance fees yet when i signed up it said no maintenance fees. He the representative waived them for this month that they charged but i do n't know how long they have been charging these random fees. The account was supposed to be free checking and free savings power savings with no fees. i can be reached XXXXXXXXXXXX attached you will see they told me today there was a transfer of 300. dollars but they statement is showing that transaction happened yesterday which was not me. They changed the story everytime i let them know i was looking at my transactions.

Complaint: My mother, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX in XXXX of 2017. She had a checking account with XXXX XXXX. I was registered as co-Trustee on the account as I also had Power of Attorney priviledges. After my mother XXXX XXXX I kept the account open for a few months as she had automatic deposits and withdrawals scheduled into the account and I wanted to get a better handle on those before closing the account transferring the balance to an Estate Checking Account, which I did in XXXX. My mother only got online statements, so I was unable to get statements after she XXXX. In addition, I was unable to set up online account access for myself since TCF was undergoing a system conversion to its online banking system right after my mother 's XXXX. I was recently reconciling all of the accounts in order to list all of the expenses of the estate. I noticed TCF charged a {$9.00} maintenance fee on XX/XX/XXXX to my mother 's checking account ( which was closed in early XXXX ). Since I did not get statements or have online access, I was n't aware of this charge. I asked what it was for and that it be reversed. The bank has been unable to tell me why the fee was assessed, even after 4 requests. In my opinion, the bank has an obligation to at least inform me why a fee was charged and do so without reasonable hassle. This has been a considerable hassle and I 'm disappointed it requires a complaint to a regulator to get a call to action. In addition, TCF has been unwilling to consider refunding the fee as they note the account has been closed. It has, but I was n't aware of this fee. The key reason I was n't aware of the fee is that they were n't able to set me up with online access when I took over the checking account because they were doing a system conversion which at the time prevented me from enrolling in online banking. Therefore they need to take some ownership in the circumstances, and they have n't.

I contact rhe dealership finance dept and the finance stated he did n't know how to request deletion from the bureaus. On XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke to a saleman at a XXXX dealership and advise him that I was interested in leasing with XXXX ; therefore, I DO N'T want my credit pulled by no other companies, he advised me it would n't since all leases are done by XXXX. Complaint: I was scammed by people who were presenting themselves as loan representatives on the internet. It started about the middle of XXXX. They had a web page that appeared to be official. They used the name XXXX XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX. One phone number was ( XXXX. The number they used when they called me was ( XXXX ). I filled out a loan application on line and put my Banking information on the form. They contacted me and said they were going to approve me for a loan. They then said they had checked my credit score and it was not where they wanted it to be. They said that they would deposit money into my account and I was suppose to send it back to them. What I did n't know was they had attached a device and was putting money into my account using bogus checks from all over the country, they were doing this at the same time they were dealing with me over the phone. A check for XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX was put in. Another check for XXXX from XXXX XXXX and one more from XXXX XXXX for XXXX. The last check which was n't from the same place as the others was from XXXX XXXX for XXXX dollars. I went to my bank TCF bank and told them about this. The assistant manager knew that this was a scan and did not act in a timely manner.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, our booking company received an email from a famous manager of XXXX based rap artists and label XXXX for a large independent label. He was pitching a touring package for XXXX XXXX that included artists our company has previously worked directly with. Everything our company checked into appeared to check out through further investigation into the legitimacy of the event. Our company received a contract for an engagement on XXXX XXXX XXXX, which was red lined/revised by our company, executed and returned to this individual. On XXXX XXXX, our company processed a {$32000.00} wire ( 25 % deposit for the event ) to this label located in XXXX, GA by TCF Bank National in XXXX, MN to the XXXX XXXX XXXX Account provided with the agreement. Our company went live with ticketing the same day ( later in the afternoon ) and within 2 hours of tickets being live and the event being public, the concert venue was contacted by an Agency out of XXXX XXXX, which is the agency representing the top billed XXXX, inquiring into why there was an event with their clients listed as performing on. The agency stated to the venue that there was no date agreed to and no event. The XXXX and XXXX of our company, contacted the direct " real '' manager of the top XXXX who we had previously set up the other two bookings through to confirm this information. During that call, this manager informed the XXXX and XXXX that the information we were given was inaccurate. We then provided the email address and phone number to the manager from which we were contacted and she confirmed that it was not the real person 's email address or phone number. We contacted the individual claiming to be this famous manager, addressing the new information we were just given and that this was not a real event and that he was impersonating another individual. He still claimed to be this person but would not take part in any conference calls with the head XXXX 's MGMT. We then reached out to TCF Bank on XXXX to see if there was any chance we could put a stop on the wire and we were informed on a conference call the account had a stop withdrawal placed on it and that the wire ( since it was still pending ) would not be sent and to expect our money back on Tuesday XXXX XXXX. On XXXX XXXX, we called back to TCF to confirm everything we were previously told and we were informed TCF did not place a hold on the wire and did allow it to be sent. We went to a local XXXX XXXX XXXX branch with all of the information for the account we had and inquired into the name of the account holder and were informed the name on account was in fact NOT the person we were under the impression we were dealing with. The XXXX XXXX XXXX branch manager advised us to file a police report which was done and that number is : XXXX which was completed at the XXXX XXXX XXXX Police Department in Minnesota. After completing that report we called the local FBI office to report this same information, as well as filing an XXXX complaint form as we were instructed by the FBI to do. Since all of this has taken place, we had reached out to XXXX XXXX XXXX on XXXX to inform them again this was a fraudulent account and was told XXXX XXXX XXXX could not do anything to assist us directly. TCF Bank did a wire recall on the wire on XXXX and received a message back on XXXX stating that XXXX XXXX XXXX had released the funds to the other individual. How is it possible that an account under 30 days old is able to receive and process out {$32000.00} in capital in under a business day without the bank placing any temp holds on it even without knowing it 's a fraud account? We were able to pull the Articles of Organization of the company name listed on the wire instructions ( attached ) and it shows the name on the company is NOT the person we were dealing with. It also shows that the organization started on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. Since the money was processed and taking out on XXXX, the bank allowed this to happen in under a 30 day window of the account being opened.

Complaint: merchant name, XXXX XXXX base out of XXXX, they sell financial instrument and offer forex trading currency. bitcoins, this merchant is not register in the usa, they are not allowed to offer any type of services to people residing in the usa nor citizen of the usa and not allowed to accept funds from usa financial institution. they have violated their regulation and defraud me and manipulating documents to scam me. at first I open an account to get electronic currency as they have promise, however they never render any services, they install a robo access for trading with out permission and they charge my bank card from TCF BANK without my authorization. I file a complaint and dispute those charges made unauthorized by the merchant to TCF BANK dispute department and send all evidence include email to cancel services, they have fail to understand the situation and the fraud by the merchant, TCF BANK fail to reevaluate the dispute, they just closed the dispute base on false documents and scam from the merchant, the total amount was taken from my bank card TCF was {$12000.00} plus bank fees of {$340.00}, I 'm asking to please help me to get the money back.
