Complaint: My account was negative {$40.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. I made a cash deposit at an ATM that evening at XXXX of {$41.00}. The account was positive XXXX cent. On XX/XX/ I also recieved a direct deposit in the amount of {$370.00}. The bank charged me {$180.00} in fees and stated my deposit of {$41.00} didnt apply until the XXXX of XXXX not XX/XX/XXXX. I brought in the receipt of the deposit from the ATM which clearly stated the deposit had been made onXX/XX/XXXX. The bank refused to credit the overdraft fees.

Complaint: My back was lost during the early hours of XX/XX/2018. When I awoke and checked my account online I found that it was overdraft. I thought it was my fault. I decided to rush to the bank to make a deposit to cover the overdraft fee and thats when I realized my card was missing. I went to my branch to report my card missing and make the deposit. The teller told me she was de-activating the missing card and she re-issued a new card. I deposited XXXX into the account at the same time. Later that evening I checked my account and found that the deposit that I made was gone and the account was back in overdraft due to fraudulent charges. My pin had been obtained and I have no idea how. I immediately called customer service and they informed that the teller had not de-activated the lost card like she claimed. I filed a complaint which was denied and I re-filed a second complaint. The bank is not taking responsibility for the employee 's error. They are trying to hold me liable for the overdraft fees and I refuse to pay for charges that I didn't incur. I desperately need outside help to resolve this matter.

Problem with the interest rate
Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is an abusive and illegal company with untrained reps. They have charged me an interest rate of 17.99 % which is above the 16 % usury law of NY. They have applied 90 % of my payments to interest. after over {$7000.00} in payments, the principle is lowered less than {$1000.00}. When im late, they spam my phone with calls from several different numbers harassing me, family and friends. They even paid me {$1000.00} hush money when i threatened to sue because they threatened me, to have me arrested and steal my car if i didnt pay them before they hung up. Their staff is a bunch of liars who promise of you make a payment itll be applied one way, and apply it completely different.

Complaint: To Whom it may concern, I am filing this complaint on TCF BANK due to failing to process a deposit of {$5000.00}. I called TCF bank corporate and informed that of said problem on XX/XX/XXXX, as I become aware of missing deposit upon receiving my bank statement. I was instructed to call on XX/XX/XXXX as the tcf branches were already closed. I called on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke with several tcf representatives from cooperate requesting to investigate said matter. Both branches were called at about XXXX, Branch in XXXX and Branch in XXXX ( located at XXXX XXXX XXXX ). I had made several personal/business transactions on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX ( between XXXX XXXX-XXXX, which include deposits, withdrawals and cashier checks. During my initial conversation with TCF cooperate, TCFs XXXX informed in less than 10mins that they had no overages. furthermore, the TCF representative informed me that TCF XXXX would reach out later to inform on their review. TCF @ XXXX informed me at about XXXX, XXXX XXXX- Manger, that they had reviewed all transaction tapes and found all in order. I called TCF cooperate and informed that I wanted to escalate matter to an investigation. I had also question as why TCF BANK @ XXXX had made such a quick assessment in less than ten minutes regarding my matter. The representative called TCF @ XXXX as I am requesting an investigation. I then Learned that the manager was the teller that process my transactions on XX/XX/XXXX and questioned the process being a conflict of interest and addressing an investigation at the branch that will not be bias. The representative transferred me to tcf bank manger XXXX XXXX, who asked question, reiterated matter, and question how I would be speaking to the teller who processed my account on said date and if her response was the same as earlier that I would be very very upset. at this point, I am stating that the money has been stolen by their employee ( s ). XXXX XXXX also questioned me about having a copy of receipt and I informed him that I have the tellers shred paper transactions as I don't like the multi print with high balance being reported ) Also, asked when the other manager, XXXX XXXX, who oversee the teller would be available and asked that I go and check. I then informed that I was not in the vicinity and could be verify that information. I was then placed on hold and then informed by XXXX XXXX that XXXX will return from her vacation until XX/XX/XXXX. I questioned the issue and having to wait a week to peruse the investigation. XXXX XXXX informed that I would need to wait until XXXX XXXX came back. I received a call from XXXX XXXX from TCF Branch @ XXXX at about XXXX, ( was also the teller that process my transactions ), questioning me with the transactions that took place and I reiterated to her that she knows the transactions that took place as she was the teller and by now she should be cleared on the status of the {$5000.00}. cash deposit. She reported not having said information and needing to review the " tape ''. I then stated that she should have already done so, as I have being calling since yesterday and to call me back with the correct information. I have attached documentation that attest that I was at TCF bank making several personal/business transactions on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. please see attachments that verify some of my banking transactions that took place on said dates, I am very limited because I don't have a copy of my deposit receipt due to asking the teller to shred it.

Complaint: In late XX/XX/XXXX or Early XX/XX/XXXX, TCF was contacted in regards to needing to temporarily needing to freeze my account due to undergoing a home mortgage in which I needed to consolidate funds into a single account for closing.
I requested no transactions be allowed to post so that I could ensure no overdraft fees were incurred. What occurred without my knowledge is that although the account was update to not allow overdrafts, I would still be charged 'non-sufficient funds ' for items which attempted to go through, even though the funds were not being paid by the bank.
I closed on my new home on XX/XX/XXXX, and did mail servicing through USPS. I did not receive notice of my account being charged these fees and falling into the negative until the evening of XX/XX/XXXX ( being told of the amount being - {$180.00} ). Due to this, the next day, Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX, I visited my local TCF branch in XXXX, MN. At this time the lady who helped me was kind and understanding, and when I explained the situation, she encouraged me to contact the customer service line versus paying the fees as she agreed that they were excessive, I was not overdrawn, and most should be refunded.
I was provided the customer service number that evening in which I immediate called and was unable to connect through their customer service line due to excessive wait periods ( at one point it told me my estimated wait time was 60 minutes ).
Due to work obligations, I could not remain on hold for such extensive periods of time and called every morning, lunch period, and evening trying to get through to the customer service line, each time waiting at least 15-30 minutes.
On Monday, XX/XX/XXXX, after remaining on hold for 30 minutes, again, I finally connected through to a customer service representative who promptly told me that unfortunately I could not settle my fees as they sent it to collections on Friday the XX/XX/XXXX and was told further information was not available on the terms of the transfer, I was only given a contact number and was told that they'd contact me as well and I could await their inquiry.
Today, I received communication from the collection company advising me that onXX/XX/XXXX ( not the XX/XX/XXXX ), they received notice of my debt and I could settle with them in the owed amount of {$210.00}.
I am filing this complaint, not against the collection company, but to the bank. I have been an upstanding account holder since at least XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXXand was not given ample notice of the situation, was misled on what an account freeze consisted of, never agreed to the non-sufficient funds charges, which were also raised to {$37.00} for each occurrence, without my notice.
Additionally, when I did try to reconcile, I was pursued not to by a bank employee, who never notated my file to advise that I was making an effort in good-faith to resolve the situation. When I tried resolving the situation, the banks lack of adequate employee staffing on their customer service phone line and the practice of not allowing dispute in-person, led to additional days and efforts in trying to resolve the matter. I was misinformed on the transfer date of the debt to a collections agency, and was not given notice of it being sent in advance either.
Finally, due to what appears to be a very limited time for an outstanding debt to be sent to collections, I feel that not only was I quickly taken advantage of by what I believe to be a unfair banking practice, but I am quite sure countless other individuals may be getting taken advantage of as well.
Not allowing ample time to resolve and quickly pushing any bank-imposed debts to collection agency appears to be a banking scheme to drive-up profits and to not have to deal with the repercussions or dissatisfied customers and leaves individuals out in the cold, even when they want to amicably resolve the situation.

Complaint: I have asked numerous times TCF bank to talk to a manager. I was treated rudely by the girl at the front desk. Stating she was the only one to talk to. I tried calmly to explain my situation. As I had an alert put on my account so that I wouldn't go over. But for some reason TCF bank didn't put it on or removed it. Now they have charged me over {$2500.00}. in overdraft fees and taking all my money that I am trying to feed and house my children. I am going to be homeless with my family. All because of TCF banks horrible practices. They are literally stealing my hard worked money. This is wrong. I contacted Attorney General and they submitted a complaint to your office. I really need HELP ASAP befroe my family and I are homeless due to the practices of unrealistic overdraft fees. And also not contacting me when this first began. Complaint: TCF bank has refused to process or honor dispute requests. I have had several hundreds of dollars loss in a game through XXXX play that loss all my game investment data so I was left with a dispute request after XXXX and the developers failed to resolve the matter. TCF told me they would not dispute the matter because I used my debit card for purchases in which I did not receive and that I would have to handle the dispute directly with the merchant. TCF has also denied a dispute claim from XXXX XXXX in which I was not informed of all the fees associated with joining. The gym failed to honor the 30 day cancellation period I was quoted by on site management and the fees were continuously charged even after trying to cancel with the gym. TCF charged me so hundreds of dollars in fees for insufficient funds and stop payment fees. When I first opened my account I was with a representative that seemed new to the branch because she had to keep asking her manager about how to open my account and so forth. The bank rep was supposed to open my account so that if I did not have funds in the account to cover a transaction they would be reversed and cancelled or not able to go through. This was not the case the overdraft and stop payment fees were never explained to me or honored as when the account was opened and even going into conversations with customer service. I would also like to add that the account originally was mistakenly overdrawn for appx 250 dollars which I had no problem putting back in with some sort of arrangement but now having I believe two to three hundred dollars worth of bank fees is ridiculous. The corporate office has refused to address or respond to letters and phone calls. The bank has failed to honor my dispute right with my accounts also once claiming it was denied because I had tried to continue to resolve the matter after filing my dispute in which the case was that TCF did not initiate or resolve the matter. The dialogues was started prior to the dispute and continued on as the developers of that game ran me around for months trying to resolve the matter. The disputes that have gone unresolved as well as the hundreds of dollars of fees is why I am filing this complaint. I have consulted with counsel and if the bank still does not pose any interests in resolving this matter I will proceed accordingly. This is unlawful and unethical financial actions and behaviors that have caused me undue stress and financial burden ongoing.

Complaint: TCF was the bank that I had my small buisness account with for the last 4 years, they have recently went to online digital banking and so when I pull up my account to watch funds I see a running balance, that is not accurate, they hold funds and then they return checks even while the funds are there. They recently the week of XX/XX/XXXX thru XX/XX/XXXX paid and returned 90 percent of my payroll checks, even while having funds in there, I had employees say that they had the funds and then the money was taken away 4-5 days after the fact. It has cost me from TCF as well as abank charges that my employees incurred. The management at the bank could not even make sense of why there were so many returns, I think these banks are taking advantage of people. It saddens me, and I went and closed the account, but in the end over 4 years, they have cost me around 3000.00 in return fees, that there is no reason things should have been returned, there needs to be better laws on these instutitions.
