Complaint: My mortgage was sold to Seterus.Inc in XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX. We were not notified of our loan was going from the frying pan into the fire. We was told our first payment to Seterus would be {$710.00} as we had what was called an overage amount in a suspense account. XX/XX/XXXX paid the normal load amount. XX/XX/XXXX paid the normal amount but check was late by one day and we where charge a late fee and paid it. XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX began a nightmare that we are now waking up from. We were told that our loan was in default XX/XX/XXXX and had to make a payment of {$5000.00}. By XX/XX/XXXX we would have paid Seterus over XXXX. No one would speak to us except to tell us the only thing they would do is to give us a payment plan with paying {$400000.00} a month on a monthly payment of {$2500.00}. Over and over and over we questions this amount and never got an answer. The online statements never made any sense and no one wanted to explain. Subjects to wait time on the phones for 30 minutes at a time. Threatening phone calls and letters saying they would foreclose on my home unless paid by the time they would set. Fearful of loosing my home today I have paid over {$75000.00} dollars to the company and still I do n't know for what. Call takers and managers or rude and short fused, dare say anything to offend them and your call will go into cyberspace and you wait and wait for them to come back to the phone. This company has ruin my credit by false payment reporting. Left me barely eating or living by stealing my money and threatening to take my home every month for 2 years. Too date, I 'm waiting for an investigate of loan/payment processing to go over my loan. I paid my mortgage online as I have done for the last 2 years with my debit card, payment went right to my account. Today I tried to pay it and was blocked. I called customer service and was told because I paid them late in XX/XX/XXXX, I was barred from paying online again. When I told them I 've been paying online for the last year, I was told, " the system had not caught up with me until now. '' I was told I need to go to the bank and get a certified check or send a money order only. Trying to interpet their on-line statement is impossible. I need help in exposing this fraudulent company and recovering my loss. In efforts to show you the monthly statements increasing in payment instead of decreasing, I have attached a few. I have all of them.

Complaint: Seterus refuses to properly service our loan. 1 ) Seterus refuses to publish 6 years of on time payments to any of the credit bureaus. 2 ) Seterus refuses to provide monthly statements via mail or online 3 ) No online access to previous or current statements is being made available. Seterus told us to send a request via fax to them which they confirmed receipt on, but there has been no written response received in over 30 days. Seterus is hindering our ability to rebuild our credit since declaring bankruptcy in 2011. We completed a HAMP modification and have made all payments as agreed since then. We are now eligible for our 6 year ontime payment reward, but it seems that Seterus is doing all they can to have us miss a payment. We seek your assistance to remedy this asap. Thank you

Complaint: Hello, I was given a mortgage trail period plan in the amount of {$2200.00} and also told that this amount may not change if a modification is offered and my APR is 7.35 %. I submitted my monthly income which is less than what the mortgage company is asking and I believe they are setting me up for failure with a unobtainable mortgage payment. I will be in the same position after paying the trail payment plan as I am now. I really am trying to keep my home. I have to accept the offer by XXXX XXXX, 2017 or I will be faced with a sheriff sale date of XXXX XXXX, 2017. I believe I am a victim of predatory lending. Complaint: 1. Referring to Complaint # XXXX, Seterus admitted wrong doing with their statement " When an escrow account is created for the disbursement of property tax and/or hazard insurance premiums, an escrow payment is to be created to repay the disbursements. However, XXXX did not create a regular escrow payment. Please be advised that we are unable to explain the actions of XXXX while they serviced the loan. ". 2. When Sterus can not explain the actions of XXXX, Seterus has the responsibility of obtaining the explanation from XXXX before creating an escrow account. They failed to do it. 3. The {$0.00} is simply due to round off to higher dollar when I make payments, instead of {$1800.00} to {$1800.00}. It has nothing to do with any escrow payment. 3. Calling a non-escrow account an escrow account is a deceptive practice. Seterus can not produce a letter from XXXX to confirm it is an escrow account, because XXXX will not say it is an escrow account. 4. XXXX simply put the amount in an account that will be part of pay off amount. The mortgage is principal and interest payment only. 5. XXXX sent me a letter stating that the terms and conditions remain the same after transfer to Seterus. But Seterus violated those terms and conditions.

Complaint: Seterus, Inc. purchased my loan a few years ago and I have had problems with them from day one. You settled one dispute for me and now I have another. Account number XXXX for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Mo XXXX. I recently had my loan refinanced by XXXX XXXX so that I could have XXXX that insurance does n't pay for. Seterus should have mailed me a mortgage Interest Statement, Form XXXX but I have never received it. When I try to call they say the forms were mailed XXXX XXXX ( from XXXX, CT ). When I try to contact them via internet it says not a working account. I am having a XXXX XXXX XXXX and wo n't feel like taking care of my taxes for several weeks after and would like to take care of it before if possible. Can you help make them send my Interest Statement for 2016? Thank you so much.

Complaint: Over the past few weeks, I have been harassed by my mortgage company, particularly by this XXXX agent, XXXX XXXX. He talks down to me and is very negative. I had a call with him last week and one today, XX/XX/XXXX. He does not listen and talks over me and he talks to me like I am behind and will not pay, when I have paid them monthly. I sent them a letter back in XXXX when I had a major home repair that caused me to pay them after the XXXX of the month. They did not respond. I spoke with another agent who called and he gave me another fax number to resend the letter and I resent the letter successfully. They did not respond from XXXX when I resent the letter until yesterday. I received a letter confirming that they did not make a late report to the credit bureau. The first agent ( a female-XXXX on XXXX ) asked for when I would get back on point and I told her by XXXX. She did a review of my finances and said that I do have the ability to pay my mortgage based on my income and noted that I would be back on schedule by XX/XX/XXXX. I thought that would have ended the phone calls, but recently, XXXX XXXX has been harassing me and causing me stress.

Complaint: Over past year I have numerous attempts to recertify my Mortgage Company 's ( Seterus ) reporting to the credit bureau. I have done what they have asked over the year to help facilitate my request but still no resolution. Each time I have called I been told something different as to what the problem was or what I needed to do to correct the issues. I was first told that all they needed to do was to turn on a flag on their system so that reporting would be done. When no correction I contacted them again as was told they would fix it. Again nothing so I called again I was then told that I needed to write a formal complaint to their office, which I did ( XXXX so I could not get a certified letter to them ) again no response. Called again and was told to contact the bureaus since on their end everything was ok. So I contacted the credit bureaus to file a dispute to which the agencies replied that they have contacted them and filed a dispute but they have not gotten any corrections from them. I again contacted Seterus and was told they would look into it and call me back in a day or so, after a week no repines so I contacted them again and again I was told to contact the credit bureaus which I did and was told that all they can do is report what they are given and if the servicer does not correctly report that I should contact them to resolve the issues. This goes on and on for over a year till I was told a month ago that their indeed was a problem on their end and they were not sure why and would look into it. However like normal no call back when I called to check and see why no one called me back and to check on status they told me that their main accounting department had the problem and had to do the reporting manually and that it would take upto a week to get it done so I should just sit and wait. So again I waited when again I called to check on status not only was the notes from the previous call not there they had an entirely different reason as to my call. So I then proceeded to go over my issues with the rep again and again was told that they would have to put in a XXXX XXXX XXXX report and just to sit and wait. Well as to be expected at this point nothing again. So I contacted them again and then was told to write them again and contact the bureaus when I told them that I have already done that and that not only have I been told by Seterus that they got the request by the credit reporting agency but they also had a problem with truing on the flag to report in their system. The rep then said all she could do is put in a request and I just have to sit and wait. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the supervisor then told me that they did n't have to report my payment if they did n't want to but if I make a late payment they would n't hesitate to report that. When I mentioned that they have reported in the past my payments she went silent, then said if I want anything corrected get the report from the agencies and send it in and they will look at it. I told her not only was there no reporting they have it down as me doing only partial payments which I am not. I have been current and on time for over a year and that I have done everything they have asked to get this corrected only now to find out a year down the road that not only did every rep lie to me the whole time I was given the run around. Not once was I ever told that they would never report any payments unless I was late. Not XXXX time even though they did in the past. She then said be on time and if I have a complaint to write them again. It seems this company wants their customers to fail their reps either lie or make up something to just get their customers off the phone, either to buy time or shut us up for a bit. Even if I want to reify with someone else I could n't because of non ( and Incorrect ) reporting and put me at a disadvantage to be able to do so.

Complaint: Seterus can not seem to calculate the escrow payment properly. The escrow balance is {$500.00} to {$700.00} short each year. They want me to pay a lump sum rather than charge the proper amount. An alternate to paying the lump sum, they add the shortage to my principle balance spread out three years. This causes my principle to decrease at a snails pace. I called last year and advised them the " new '' escrow was not enough to cover the year without going less than the XXXX and even it goes negative XXXX or three times during the year. They have to borrow from somewhere to pay the county taxes or hazard insurance and the person I talked to seemed to think that was OK.
