Complaint: I am the cosigner on my son 's college loans. We were able to pay off all of his loans after receiving a lump sum of money. I used the repay links on the XXXX XXXX website, and it looked like they went through but the loans were not paid by my bank. I made several phone calls to XXXX XXXX who first told me the bank was declining payment. The bank ( XXXX ) claimed that they had not received any information or attempts from XXXX XXXX, which turned out to be true ... at that point ( a week after the first attempted payment ) XXXX XXXX told me it was because the amount was over $ 100K when all 4 loans were totalled. At that point, I tried to submit each repayment separately. This still didn't work so 2 days later I called again. This time the XXXX XXXX rep submitted 2 repayment requests at the same time that I submitted all of them ... and all 6 went through, for an overpayment of $ XXXX. I called to try to get it reversed and they said they could send me a check in 10 days. When I insisted that they were at least partially at fault, they said they could reverse the charges in 5 days. I waited 6 business days and " chatted '' with their customer service online again to see why I still had not received the money ... they told me XXXX today, XX/XX/XXXX, 2 weeks after my initial attempt to repay the loan ) that because the amount was so large it had to be approved by a " director '' and that would take an additional 10 days. They said they would not pay interest despite holding my money for what will now be close to 4 weeks. This is causing me completely unnecessary and inappropriate hardship and expense, is due to their complete failure of any proactive communication, and I suspect is a illegal. Please help me.

Complaint: On Tuesday XX/XX/XXXX, I called XXXX XXXX twice in regards to changing my billing date so I would have the sufficient funds to make the payment. I talked to a regular worker for customer service and then I requested to talk to someone higher up and she gave me the same answer the previous employers told me. The latest date that they could change it to was the XXXX. I am unable to make the payments at that time because I will not have the funds to cover that amount until I receive my second paycheck for that month and the following months to come. I have been told that there is a grace period of 15 days until I am notified that I am late on the payments.The suggested that I make the payments past the due dates and it wont be marked as late. My mother, the co-signer, does not have the funds to help with the payments each month and I am in the process of trying to have her released as the co-signer. Consistent on-time payments is a large factor that is looked at when deciding to release the co-signer, and since XXXX XXXX is not willing to work with when I can pay the amount and is suggesting to make the payments past the due date, they are ruining my chances of having her released.

Complaint: When I went back to school, I had no knowledge of student loans. I applied for a private loan with XXXX XXXX not knowing the difference between it and a federal student loan. The primary piece I did not understand was the income-driven repayment was not an option for private loans. I currently have a balance of {$120000.00} in private student loan debt and have a monthly payment of {$1500.00}. This does not include my federal loan debt. Prior to XX/XX/18, I spoke with XXXX XXXX a number of times and was told that my payment had to be past due before they would work with me. On XX/XX/18, I finally was allowed to speak to someone about lowering my monthly payment. I gave a detailed financial statement and they asked to speak to my father who is my cosigner. I explained that he could and would not pay on this loan but gave them his details. My father gave his financial statement on XX/XX/18 and he told me they would call me. After not hearing from them, I called back on XX/XX/18 ( I learned that did not have my current phone number on file ). I was told I could enroll in auto-debit to lower the interest rate by XXXX and skip my XX/XX/XXXX payment. This is an offer I had read about online and knew about so I told them it would not work and hung up. I needed to reduce the monthly payment amount considerably. I called back on XX/XX/18, thinking perhaps there was an option where I could extend the payment term or move to a graduated repayment plan. I was told unequivocally that was not an option and that all I could do was put the loan in forbearance for a month and apply to refinance at another company. I checked at XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX XXXX XXXX. All have said I would need a co-signer that I can not get at this point for that amount of debt. The representative was polite and as helpful as she could be given the situation. Her employee number is XXXX and the confirmation for my forbearance payment is XXXX. I want to pay on this debt but I am not receiving any real help in lowering the monthly payment. I make XXXX/yr and have upward mobility in my career. I do not like not meeting my obligations. That said, I am at the point where I am beginning to think my only option is to try and get the debt settled through bankruptcy. Please, please, please help me!

Complaint: I am cosigned on a loan with my son- he is making a {$75.00} a week payment/ {$300.00} a month - this loan should be paid ahead of the payment is only {$230.00} a month leaving a surplus of {$65.00} per month. XXXX they called and stated that they haven't received payment since XX/XX/XXXX- I got on my sons account and there is consistent {$75.00} weekly being sent. This was a lie. XXXX called the number on my way to work was connected with a XXXX person that was not very cooperative- she stated that they are receiving payments I tried to get her to explain to me how this could be behind if the payment monthly is {$230.00} and there is a weekly payment of {$75.00} which is {$300.00} per month this loan should be paid ahead since XX/XX/XXXX of this year- she tried to push me off the call I waited to speak to a Team Lead and asked the same questions- since there is obviously research and misapplied payments that need to happen on XXXX XXXX side of the house I asked for to have my number removed and not called. She stated they can remove from dialer but will still manually call- I have been really sick this year with 2 XXXX and not doing well- there is obviously some misappropriation of funds and this needs to be escalated.

Complaint: I am a cosigner on two of my daughters XXXX XXXX Accounts XXXX and XXXX. On XXXX at XXXX XXXX I received a call from XXXX XXXX regarding my daughters accounts and that she was applying for a new repayment plan. The call was to determine if I could make her payments based on my retirement income and expenses. After a long conversation and based on information I provided it was determined I could not and that my daughter would be granted a reduced payment for both accounts. I was also told if she made three consecutive payments there would be no reporting of late payments to the reporting agencies. All reporting would be put on hold until one of the three payments was missed. They have not been missed and the third payment will be made in the next 3 days. A couple of weeks later I received a notice that the account was late and would be reported. I contacted my daughter and she called XXXX and was told there would not be any reporting as long as she made the 3 consecutive payments. I called on XXXX at XXXX XXXX and was told not to worry there would be no reporting of the account being delinquent if the payments were made as agreed. I called again on XXXX at XXXX XXXX and again was told the same thing. I received a notice from XXXX on XXXX informing me that the account ending in XXXX was 61 days late and my FICO score dropped XXXX points. I called XXXX XXXX and spoke with XXXX XXXX, ID XXXX, and she checked told me I had to send a letter to XXXX. I said I would not because this was their mistake and they had 24 hours to correct it. She agreed it was XXXX 's error. After speaking to her Supervisor she told me they were forwarding my issue to their management team for action. As of XXXX the reporting to XXXX has not been corrected. They have basically destroyed my credit rating because of their error and they breached the contract they created with my daughter and myself and need to be held accountable.

Complaint: XXXX XXXX Representative, XXXX XXXX, has been making harassing phone calls to my co-workers, supervisor, and myself at work. I have sent two cease and desist letters in regards to the harassing phone calls and asking XXXX XXXX representatives only to contact me by mail. Additionally, I have a receipt from USPS certified mail detailing they received the cease and desist letter. I was out from work when my supervisor contacted me on XX/XX/18 stating XXXX XXXX had been calling and leaving messages with my co-workers in regards to my student loan. I received another call from XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/18, where I told him not to call me at my job, and hung up the phone. I am within my legal right to have all correspondence be through mail, but XXXX XXXX refuses to cooperate with the law and cease harassing me. Complaint: In XXXX, I found out that I was a " Cosigner '' on my daughter 's student loan when it was in default. I asked many times for the original loan documentation, as I did not sign anything for her loans. They reply with information on Identity theft, and referred me to the fraud department. As I have not seen anything, at all, of the original loan documents I have no way to determine anything. Meanwhile, I was receiving over seven calls a day ( documented ) telling me I was in default. I would call back each time and ask they stop calling me, and informed them I had paid the past due amount. They called for approximately 9 days after I had paid. I also took a huge hit on my credit, and still had no knowledge or information on this loan. I paid the past due amounts to save my credit, and am making payments I can not afford, and still after two written letters have had no response from XXXX XXXX regarding the documents I may ( or may not have signed ). I was told the only address was to the fraud department. They replied with instructions on how to file a police report on my daughter. But nothing on the loan, no supporting documentation on the loan, and nothing I had signed ... She does have student loans, and all are cosigned by her father, who has an income. I was, at the time, a housewife, barely making minimum wage. I am now employed, but the loan 's payment is almost half my salary. I have no knowledge of this loan, no answers from XXXX XXXX, and am paying just to keep my good credit - which has been hurt by late payments on a loan I have no knowledge of, nor have seen any papers showing I co signed anything? How can I be basically blackmailed to make payments on something they refuse to prove I signed? I have also asked for some sort of repayment plan or reduction in payments - and am told the only thing I can do is pay {$150.00} for a month deferment, while interest is compounding and nothing is accomplished. Additionally, the interest rate is 11.6 % and keeps going up. The loan was reported to be for {$30000.00}. They now claim I owe {$53000.00}. I'm XXXX years old. I could never pay this in my lifetime ...
