Frequent or repeated calls
Complaint: First of all, let me mention that this debt is not XXXX that I owe. This is XXXX XXXX out of I 'm sure many ) collection agencies that use false numbers to call people. They will also call your family members using fake numbers. There were some days in which I received up to XXXX fake phone numbers. After this company put a mark on my credit report ( though I had no idea I even owed any debts -- because I do n't ), I was telling them " I do not answer numbers I do n't know, because I 've been getting a ton of XXXX calls from numbers that look a lot like mine. '' She was very silent on the phone for a while and then says " yes, we understand. They sometimes call pretending to be our number, too. '' I found that odd, because these calls never pretended to be a toll free number. XXXX of them were foolish enough to forget to hang-up and the background noise sounded similar to that of the background noise of the debt collector. Anyway, so I deal with this debt collector and would n't you know it -- the spam calls stop. They stop coming to me and my family members.I do n't think this is a coincidence in the least.

Seized or attempted to seize your property
Complaint: I negotiated a settlement a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for a judgement against me from XXXX which resulted in a lien being placed against my property. XXXX XXXX XXXX received payment in full on this settlement on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I was told that within 30 days I would receive a satisfaction of judgement and that the lien would be released. In a letter I received from them on XXXX XXXX, XXXX they state : " Upon receipt and clearance of your payment ( s ) for the settlement amount, no further attempts will be made to collect the remaining balance. XXXX XXXX XXXX will submit a request to the attorney of record, or its appointed entity, to file a satisfaction of judgement with the In The Metropolitan Court of XXXX XXXX, NM and release any lien ( s ) that may be associted with Docket XXXX. '' I have contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX multiple times requesting a status on the satisfaction of judgement and each time I 'm given a different story and they refuse to product the document. After 30 days they still have not issued the satisfaction of judgement and will not give me an answer as to when they will produce this document and remove the lien from my property.

Written notification about debt

Debt collection: Credit card debt

Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Complaint: This collection agency by the name of XXXX XXXX XXXX currently has a debt under my name from XXXX XXXX. I called on XXXX2017 at XXXX to make a deal on paying this account in full and spoke to the Manager who did not reveal his name. I asked him if I had the option to pay this account online or via phone by making partial payments. He told me I did not have the option to pay the balance I owe online and that I had to make a one-time lump sum payment through the phone. I tried to reason with this agent and told him that I was only able to make partial payments towards paying off the balance but once again I was unsuccessful in coming to a convenient and reasonable payment arrangement. I ended the call by thanking him.

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: XXXX sent me numerous written warnings about an amount they claimed I owed that was not owed. I attempted to rectify this with them on multiple ocassions, and they remained unhelpful. This has now been sent to collections, and my credit has already been dinged. This sounds like a common illegal practice by this company, as there are class-action lawsuits in multiple states against them. I have joined the class-action suit in my state of Colorado.

Threatened or suggested your credit would be damaged
Complaint: Complaint filed on XX/XX/XXXX with company - they continue to send me collection letters. The original debt was {$280.00}. You do not pay more for debt when you purchase it. Being in the default industry you buy debt for pennies on the dollar. This company is stating I owe them 5x times the amount of the original amount. The original creditor was XXXX XXXX XXXX. The collection agency assigned to this debt was XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) account # XXXX. XXXX sold this collection account on XX/XX/XXXX ( approximately ) to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX ( account number XXXX XXXX ) and the amount of {$1500.00}. I am confused. Former complaint number : XXXX Texas Surety bond information as required by Sec. 392.101 - my original signature on the application from the creditor - my original signature on an application with your office consenting to any service. Debt collection: Medical debt

You told them to stop contacting you, but they keep trying
Complaint: This company has sent me a dunning letter suggesting I send them a written letter or the alleged debt would be assumed valid. I believe this is an attempt for XXXX XXXX XXXX to abuse the system and suggest I have not already exercised my right for validation. The information they have provided in a previous complaint through one of multiple collection agencies they report to have put on retainer for collection services has been proven invalid and I have documented this Consumer Financial Protection complaint XXXX. This complaint verifies I have already disputed this debt and asked for validation along with requiring further communications to be by written letter only. This company, Central Credit Services LLC has called me repeatedly even though I have written to multiple collections agencies who have each notified XXXX XXXX XXXX of my dispute and my requirement to cease phone calls to any number that may reach me. This CFPS complaint should serve as an additional written communication to again demand this debt is in dispute and I do not want any phone calls as any phone call is an inconvenience to me.
