Complaint: I contacted XXXX XXXX to request internet service at my residence. Prior to receiving service, I discovered that I already had internet available at my home, so I called to cancel with XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. The person I spoke to said she could n't cancel because the account had not been established yet. Soon I began receiving bills in the mail from XXXX XXXX. Somehow in this process two accounts were established for my same address and only one was cancelled after may call ( I did not discover this fact until a talking with XXXX at XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX ). I later spoke with XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX after receiving another bill and she assured me that my account had been cancelled. When I continued receiving bills from XXXX XXXX for varying amounts, I began calling again. On XX/XX/XXXX I emailed my complaint to XXXX XXXX and was told to contact the Retention Department. On that same day I talked with XXXX at the Retention Department. I was told the issue was solved on her end but to wait for an email from Collections confirming the account was cancelled ; I never received the email. I then received a collections letter dated XX/XX/XXXX for a " Balance due : {$160.00} '' After consulting the Better Business Bureau website, I was directed to a telephone number supposedly for XXXX XXXX XXXX " Executive Escalation Team. '' I called the telephone number listed on the BBB website on XX/XX/XXXX. It was their normal business phone requiring extensive hold time to make contact with someone who could help. I finally reached a supervisor who told me that my account was with the " Legacy Division '' and they transferred me to a non-USA office where I talked with XXXX, who found no reference to my complaint but told me she had made a billing correction and that I should receive confirmation of her actions from XXXX XXXX Collections in 3-5 business days - I never received confirmation. I then contacted XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX and she discovered that two accounts had been made in my name. She told me that she was able make an adjustment to resolve the two-account issue. On the same day I also called and talked to XXXX XXXX at the collections agency and was told that he would " escalate '' my call to notify XXXX XXXX of my dispute and that I would receive a response back from the collections agency regarding XXXX XXXX reason for the bill. I have yet to see a response.

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I bought a used car through XXXX XXXX that I later totaled in XX/XX/XXXX. When I purchased the car, I also purchased the GAP insurance, which is supposed to pay off any remaining balance not covered by insurance. It did not pay off the balance. Two years later, XXXX sent me to collections. Central Credit Services LLC sent a letter offering a settlement amount, which I accepted. I started my payments XX/XX/XXXX, to pay the settlement amount of {$1500.00}. In my agreement with Central Credit Services LLC, I agreed to pay weekly payments of {$25.00}, till paid in full. I mail the payments out every Friday, my payday, and I write the account number on every check. Two weeks ago, I received my envelope with my check Return To Sender, Undeliverable. I figured I had written the address too sloppy or something. I then put that envelope stamped Return To Sender, that {$25.00} check, and the current weeks {$25.00} check into another envelope to send back to them. I did not want them to think I was breaking our settlement agreement. This past week on XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter with one of my checks ( number XXXX ), saying that they were unable to verify a valid account. They were requesting additional information, such as my name, account number, address, etc. Before check XXXX was returned, check numbers XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX have cleared. Check XXXX has been returned to me. Check numbers XXXX and XXXX have cleared since they first received check XXXX. As of today,XX/XX/XXXX check numbers XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX have not cleared and are still in their possession. Is this debt finally paid in full? And if they don not have a valid account, where did the checks go that were cashed, and where are the checks that have not cleared?

Complaint: Due to working for a company that shut down I am a XXXX year old man without a job and within 3 weeks of living on the streets. I managed to pay all of my debts except for one remaining cable bill. The company I owe is XXXX XXXX. I owe them XXXX for my last months cable bill. I am getting daily calls from the collector. They always call and hang up when I answer which forces me to call them back at which time they go into their spill about attempting to collect my debt. The way they do this is tricky because they always call and hang up causing me to always have to call them back. It 's a form of trickery and I am tired of getting called daily and being hung up on. I am trying to find a job so I always call a number back to make sure I am not missing a job. I received a usual call yesterday X/X/17 mid morning. I explained to them nicely that I would try to make a payment by the end of next month and a fellow who calls himself " XXXX '' said that was n't good enough and I will have to do better or the calls will continue. I received another call today from the number XXXX, the usual hang up when I answered. I called the number back and it was XXXX again. I asked him if I was going to continue getting these harassing calls everyday, he said yes unless I resolved the debt. I admit I was furious, towards the end of the conversation he said something like " You do n't care about your credit '', you can actually verify what he said because it was being recorded. I did call his company which is Central Credit Services, LLC, located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, FL XXXX. Toll Free # XXXX. I called the number and again actually got XXXX so it must be a very small company. I asked him to speak with a manager and he said they were all busy right now, I asked if the company name was the above company and he did n't want to tell me. Again, I assume I was being recorded so you can verify this. He finally placed me on hold for a manager and after a long period of time came back on to say all the managers were busy and I would have to try back another time. I understand I owe this debt. I am XXXX years old and have paid my cable bills for over 40 years with never a problem until I lost my job and can not seem to find one. I am scared I am a few weeks from me and my wife being on the streets. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and now have an XXXX XXXX so this is going to be very tough on me as well as my wife who has a XXXX XXXX. Complaint: I have been receiving multiple phone calls from Central Credit Services LLC regarding a debt I owe on a credit card. On X/XX/2017 they provide personal information regarding this debt ( amount owed, attempt to collect a debt, asked the person if they could pay my debt, etc ) to a person unrelated to me that answered my phone number. They additionally are constantly calling and harrassing my place of employment and told my employer that I said that they would pay for my debt which is a lie. I have told them I am responsible for this debt. They are repeatedly harrassing them and my company has asked me several times to make them stop. I have asked Central Credit Services multiple times for them to stop calling my employer and they still continue.

I have received letters in the mail claiming to be collecting on behalf of this company. I have checked my credit report with all three bureaus and this debt does not appear. Upon further research into this organization is appears there are numerous incidents like this regarding this company. I am not sure how they received my information but I do not want to give them any further information to perpetuate this false claim. Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I made a payment to central credit service in the amount of {$1200.00}. This was a settlement payment for all medical bills that was in collection with this company. However my credit report states that I still owe money for another account. When I called Central Credit Services they stayed that this amount will take care of all debts owed. However now they state that it did not take care of all accounts. I never noticed that the receipt did not have all accounts listed. I was deceived into thinking everything was at XXXX balance. The agreement I made over the phone is to cover all debts with Central Credit partners under XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. How can they increase an amount by 5 times the original amount? I am confused. Then, they sent a XXXX page demand letter with payments equaling a car payment. The letter did not comply with all the regulations required by the CFPB. They placed this on my credit report as new debt with the increased amount that I never owed them on the original company. This company has been harassing me with calls and demand letters.

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I began reviewing my credit report and have been attempting to find out what some negative items on my credit report are. I sent a letter to the credit bureaus in XX/XX/XXXX asking for their assistance in verifying those items. Some items were addressed, some were not. I sent a second round about a month later, again some items were addressed and some were not. I sent the attached letter directly to a company by the name of XXXX XXXX XXXX. I believe in response to this letter - XXXX XXXX XXXX sent me the attached letter deleting my file and to my understanding deleting this from my credit report. Now, I have received this letter from Central Credit Services. Referencing that they have been asked by XXXX XXXX XXXX to investigate a debt - and WITHOUT PROVIDING ME EVIDENCE THAT THIS IS MINE are attempting to coordinate a payment plan. I have several account numbers that I 'm looking at and everything is getting confusing. NEITHER creditor is validating that these items are mine. The dates do n't make sense. The locations do n't make sense. I have always had health insurance. I have NO IDEA what this is and quite frankly i am sick and tired of asking. It appears as though this account is being bounced around from creditor to creditor. Regardless- i need clarification on ANY & ALL ACCOUNTS that either one of these creditors " say '' belong to me. I am asking for proof as constituted by the law ... which means something bearing my signature, or a contract in my name. This is a waste of my time, energy and money.

Complaint: I have been in contact with ( Central credit services ) due to a debt that I do not owe. I have contacted them from XX/17-present for resolution. I have hung up on. Refused managers. Refused validation of debt etc. <P/>This is my second complaint w/CFPB on This same matter. I had never knew nothing about this debt. I have never got a phone call. I had never received anything notifications by mail either. I was not aware of this bill until it showed as a collection debt on my credit report. As of date of service I myself, had insurance. Because of the no identification at hospital. No correct address and the incorrect contact info. I would like this derogatory debt removed from my credit report immediately please. I was refused assistance with resolution just because they could and it did n't hurt them as a company. It only hurts the consumer. Myself. It took the complaint with cfpb to even get an itemized statement. With that itemized statement. Central credit services agreed to remove debt from my credit report as of XX/XX/XXXX. This action has still not been done. i have called into central credit services on several occasions. I spoke with supervisor " XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2017 and she advised me that the " trade line deletion was approved and was deleted XXXX XXXX, 17. She refused to send me a letter with that information. I also spoke with XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/17 and he advised me that someone from compliance would be calling me back to follow up on the trade line deletion and the paperwork for verification.
