Here as follows is the items in error : Collection Agency : Portfolio Recovery Associates ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, VA XXXX ) Original Creditor : XXXX XXXX Balance : {$560.00} Account Number : Reports shows no account number ( being that one was never established ) Open Date : Listed as XX/XX/XXXX Collection Agency : Portfolio Recovery Associates ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, VA XXXX ) Original Creditor : XXXX XXXX Balance : {$660.00} Account Number : Reports shows no account number ( being that one was never established ) Open Date : Listed as XX/XX/XXXXXX/XX/XXXXBasis of Dispute E.g., I never had the accounts in reference with this creditor and I do not owe this debt. Invalid information listed on credit Reports - original. I did not sign an agreement to pay for any services with XXXX XXXX nor did I sign an agreement with the collection agency -Portfolio Recovery Associates . I have received no mail regarding me to verify this false debt. This false claim of a debt owned was with another collection agency XXXX XXXX XXXX and was removed for the same false accusations. By the provisions of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, I demand that these items be investigated and removed from my report. It is my understanding that you will recheck these items with the creditor who has posted them. Please remove any information that the creditor can not verify. I understand that under 15 U.S.C. Sec. 1681i ( a ), you must complete this reinvestigation within 30 days of receipt of this letter. Please send an updated copy of my credit report to the above address. Complaint: This company was contacted 3 times in writing advising that I am disputing and requesting validation of the debt. I have also disputed on my credit report several times as well. I do not recognize this company or the debt being reported to my credit.
I have never received an initial notification from this company advising me of the debt they claim I owe or providing me my right to dispute/request validation. This account was discovered after me taking initiative to pull my credit report.
This company has not responded in 7 months. They are ignoring my written correspondence and request for validation. They are updating my credit report disputes as " verified as reported '' but have not complied with the FCRA by sending me proof of the debt. This is illegal and unethical. I believe they should be investigated as there may be many more people affected by the illegal practices. I intend to also file an attorney general complaint as well as a XXXX complaint. I will also be seeking legal action against this company for failure to adhere to the law.

Complaint: XX/XX/2019 I comfortably began the home buying process, knowing that I hadn't used my credit in quite some time. I was upset and shocked to have learned that it had been used recently. One of the accounts listed said, " Portfolio Recovery '' for a XXXX XXXXXXXX credit card. I've yet to bank with XXXX XXXX. This has been a nightmare going back and forth with them and at this point, I'm over it. I will go the full mile until this is removed from my credit report. It really XXXX that collection agencies treat people this way. I've been ignored since early XX/XX/XXXX. I have sent two letters thus far, no response. I called XXXX XXXX personally to get information regarding the account as well. They couldn't help me because I couldn't verify any of the account information outside of my social ( account security questions, etc. ). I informed them, how could I? I never opened the account, to begin with!

Complaint: Repeatedly called me at all hours even when told we live in Hawaii still call at XXXX. Calls 20 times a day on various numbers to our various phone numbers.
The threatened my child after my minors told them they were kids and didnt know anything saying they were going to put me in jail.
They called my elderly mother and told her if she didnt pay my debt I would go to jail.
They are abusive and I've repeatedly asked for proof of the debt they claim I owe them. I've informed them I will only pay the debt originator and not them and written and verbally told them they may only contact me via writing after the continued abuse.
Further, they are calling on a debt that is outside the legal collection period of my current residence and outside the window of my prior residency.

Complaint: They call my minor child 's cell phone starting at XXXX local time running throughout the day from different numbers each time. If anyone answers or calls back they become threatening and abusive on the phone. How they can do this to a child 's number is beyond me. We've reported it to them, blocked the numbers but the calls and abuse just wont stop.

Complaint: Portfolio Recovery received a 93A Demand notice from me XX/XX/2019 ( attached for your records ). In response they agreed to remove their illegal collection listing from my credit bureaus in XX/XX/2019. Proof attached. They have re-added the account to my credit bureaus in violation of the FCRA and FDCPA. I have contacted them repeatedly regarding this issue in writing via certified mail. They refuse to reply or remove their listing. Under both federal and state law they are required to remove this listing.

Investigation took more than 30 days
Complaint: I have already filed a complaint about this company and they can not obey US collection laws. They have not validated anything and keep sending me the same letter asking me for my name, address, account number.
As you see again I received another letter asking for the same information. They can provide any kind of validation and are reporting as a collection in my credit reports.
They have gone past 30 days to VALIDATE and can not follow the collection laws!!

Complaint: Porfolio Recovery Associates, LLC calls multiple times per week from a different number some with local prefixes trying to collect some unknown debt. I have told them repeatedly DO NOT CALL ME, I am not paying the debt. They continue to call me, my friends, co-workers, etc. It needs to stop. I am not gon na pay them a dime, I have never done business with them, I don't even know who they are. They need to stop calling.
