Complaint: Portfolio Recovery collection service calls upwards of 15-20 calls per day. 9 ( Nine ) times I have asked for them to not call me anymore and have blocked 22 of their numbers after asking the first time. I was told on the last I demanded them to stop calling Too bad, pay or Ill be calling you back in an hour. In fact, I just got that call back typing this ... I was encouraged by counsel, not retained only inquiring for relief, to contact you about this issue.

I sent a letter to them requesting copy of original statement with my signature and they have failed to respond to the two letters sent certified mail. Unless they can provide proper documentation showing my signature this must be removed from my credit reports on all 3 credit bureaus.

Complaint: I have been receiving numerous phone calls a day from them, all from different phone numbers. Sometimes upwards of 5-10 calls a day. Sometimes more. I have started blocking these numbers, but the calls have gotten so out of hand I can't keep up with them anymore. I have checked my credit reports and I don't see one collection acct on there from Portfolio Recovery. I then sent them a cease and desist letter requesting them to not contact me by phone, mail, email, etc. I am still getting numerous calls a day even after the letter was sent.

Complaint: Portfolio Recovery Services purchased an account from XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$590.00} but does not have any documents showing a balance of {$590.00} was even owed. There is not one document that Portfolio Recovery Services has provided in the past few months that has that amount listed accept for the debt purchase letter they have provided. Portfolio Recovery has continued report to the credit bureau {$570.00} but they did not purchase a debt for this amount. The debt purchase validation letter states the debt amount was {$590.00}. Portfolio has sent multiple documents with the amounts owed of {$590.00} and in the amount of {$570.00} these are two different debt amounts After I began disputing the account Portfolio Recovery Adjusted the amount on my credit report from {$590.00} to {$570.00} after I disputed the validity of this account and the documents.

Complaint: A company called Portfolio Recovery has continued to harass about a debt from over twenty years ago. The debt is suppose to be from XXXX XXXX credit card from over 20 years ago. I went thru a debt consolidation company which I paid off. The credit card in question had a credit limit of {$300.00}. This company tells me that I owe {$3000.00} and that I can set up a payment plan. I have never acknowledged this company or debt but they continue with mailers and constant phone calls.

Complaint: There was a XXXX XXXX card opened some years ago. I called XXXX XXXX directly about the alleged amount of {$420.00} which Portfolio recovery is reporting. XXXX XXXX stated that it is four three or four body sprays. If we do the math, their body sprays are always ( around ) 3 for {$25.00}! There is no way that it should be legal for a company to charge any one Almost {$400.00} in interest and fees! I have requested for the original contract, information on how this account was opened, and an itemized list of the fees associated to be mailed to me. This letter was sent via certified mail. I have the receipt and copy of the letter sent. I received a reply with none of the requested information that would legally validate the account and also break down these outrageous fees. Per my rights I am requesting that this account is deleted since the creditor has failed to validate as requested, and also due to the fact that it is also illegal to accrue so much interest for just {$25.00} ( give or take a little ). Complaint: I called Portfolio Recovery Associates the week of XX/XX/17 to pay a XXXX XXXX credit card that had been charged off. The representative I spoke with gave me only three options : 1 ) Make one payment to pay balance 2 ) Split amount over 3 monthly 3 ) Split amount over 6 monthly payments. I asked the representative if I paid the full amount, would the account be removed from my credit. I was told that it could take the credit bureaus up to 30 days, but that the account would be deleted once it was paid. I gave him my payment information, which cleared my bank a couple days later. Today I received an alert from XXXX that this account is being reported as " Reached An Agreement With A Lender To Repay Only Part Of The Original Debt ''. This was not what I was told on the phone, nor did I agree to this. I was under the impression that I was paying off the account, and was specifically told by the associate at Portfolio Recovery that " once the credit bureau updated '' it would be removed. I tried contacting them again to inquire about this, and spoke with XXXX XXXX, Operations Manager, who again lied to me and said that I was originally informed they would be reporting it as a settlement. I know for a fact that I was not told this information because I would have paid whatever the full amount they claimed I owed rather than have the account report as " repayed only part of the original debt ''.

Complaint: I have been dealing with this company for years and they have yet to accurately verify this account that does not belong to me. I have two open credit cards with the company they claim I have a collection with that were both opened after the alleged collection took place. Surely if this was my account the bank wouldnt have overlooked that twice! PORTFOLIO RECOVERY must herein provide to me a True and Certified Original copy of the Complete audit trail under penalties of Perjury of alleged account with their company, pursuant to 15 USC 1692.g of FDCPA. Furthermore, in order for PORTFOLIO RECOVERY to validate the debt please provide verification through audit certification of debt entry in accordance with G.A.A.P., I.F.R.S., in accordance with BASEL 3 accord and U.N.C.I.T.R.A.L. conventions. I would also need a certified copy of the original contract with my wet ink signature between me and PORTFOLIO RECOVERY, proving that PORTFOLIO RECOVERY is holder in due course of the original debt contract as well as certified original copy of your Tax Registration Certificate. If they can not provide this information I demand that they remove/delete negative account from ALL three credit bureaus as well as stop with any further harassment.

Complaint: I was unable to get a fax number from this company to send documents to them. They told me that they dont receive fax. They can only send. Now what kind of business is this? Everyones know if you have a fax number you can receive fax as well as sending faxes. If very unnecessary to lie to people were needing to get something to them. This is our right so why are they denied me this. It just seems like theyre avoid people to get there documents to them.
