Complaint: Portfolio recovery is requesting money from me and I do not recall ever doing business or having them write me validating my financial obligation to them. Up to now they have not sent me anything validating this contract and they are reporting on my credit trying to strong arm me into paying money to their company. They are injuring me by reporting on my credit in return for me paying them money they have not validated. This seems like extortion I have asked for validation with no response. Today I request this with help of the CFPB for tracking purposes. I dont want to be strong armed into contracts with companies that will take advantage of consumers. Validate this debt 1 ) Please produce a contract bearing my signature to do business with your company 2 ) Send me an ORIGINAL contract 3 ) Copy of account payment history 4 ) The account statements from the original creditor 5 ) What is the balance I owe including original amounts, interest, fees and when was this account purchased 6 ) Did any credit bureau contact you regarding this debt? If so, which bureau? What was verified? I never received an opportunity to validate this alleged debt. I am requesting this information today.

Complaint: I was working with Portfolio recovery on a payment arrangement for a bill. As soon as I gave my checking account number-within that same breath-the rep asks me if I am aware of debt for XXXX XXXX in their office. I have a Current XXXX XXXX card I am in repayment on-in past when I received these phone calls it upset me because I was confused about which debt they were referring to. This debt they were referring to is over 13 years old. I felt Harassed and manipulated-I would not have gone into a payment arrangement with this company for XXXX -- had I known they would combine the two companies in our conversations, and during our payment arrangement no less. Complaint: The debt in question ahs been on my credit profile for a few years and I have sent multiple letters to the credit bureaus as well as the debt reporting company for removal. Starting in early XXXX I reached out the company requesting proof of debt, and even as recent as XX/XX/XXXX asking for proof of debt and none was sent. However, not only is the bad debt reporting on my credit, it is reporting twice as a duplicate, which is further impacting my credit score. As per the FCRA laws I am entitled to a accurate report of the supposed debt showing the initial contract and even entitled to up to {$1000.00} in damages.

Complaint: I recently applied for a home loan and was denied do to fraudulent activities. I have never applied for XXXX XXXX or have I used this credit card. I have recently tried to dispute this directly with the bureaus and asked for an Itemized bill, they verified as accurate. The reason why I asked for this is because I was served in XXXX for XXXX XXXX XXXX and hired an Attorney XXXX XXXX. We were able to prove I never used it and my signature from the one on the application was different. They also showed me an itemized bill There were charges to flights to XXXX, AZ and other places. I showed my passport to show proof that this was never me who took these vacations or that I used it. There was no stamp of indication that I have ever flown out of Colorado, it was plain. They came to the conclusion it was not me and dismissed it. I proved that this was not me who took this CC out but my EX- Husband. We showed the divorce papers to show that we had divorced in XX/XX/XXXX and he would be the only person that could have done this since he would have had my personal information. I am willing to do the same thing for XXXX XXXX. I have never applied nor used their CC.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 at approximately XXXX I pulled a credit report for the purpose of purchasing a home. When reading over my credit report I noticed that there were fraudulent accounts listed on my credit report. None of which I had knowledge. On XX/XX/2019 after unsuccessful attempts at contacting creditors and debt collectors I was advised to file a police report. I filed a police report and the deputy listed the accounts in question. On XX/XX/2019 I sent the police report number via email to Portfolio Recovery Associates. I mailed dispute letters with a copy of the police report on XX/XX/XXXX to Portfolio Recovery Associates LLC. On XX/XX/2019 I called to confirm that Portfolio Recovery Associates was in possession of this report number. The associate I spoke with requested a copy of the actual report. On XX/XX/2019 I sent three copies of the physical police report for all three accounts Portfolio Recovery Associates was attempting to collect. After numerous phone calls to Portfolio Recovery Associates throughout the following week, claiming that they did not receive my email, I was advised by a representative from Portfolio Recovery associates to resent the email. On XX/XX/2019 I resent the email for the accounts listed. I called on XX/XX/2019 to confirm action was being taken to remove the fraudulent accounts. However an employers advised me that because the police report listed the original credit limits and not the amount owed that they would not accept the police report. This is a blatant attempt to try and continue a debt collection in a case of obvious fraud. I will take every legal action necessary to fight Portfolio Recovery Associates, Upto and including civil litigation.
