Complaint: Portfolio Recovery Associates, LLC has sent numerous collectors to my residence ( one banging on my front door viewed via my XXXX doorbell camera ). To my knowledge I received a bill and after that their agents came to my house. I emailed them a cease and desist letter to their email address XXXX on XX/XX/2019. They continue to send correspondence dated XX/XX/2019.
They claim I owe {$4700.00}. I was never given an opportunity to dispute this debt.

Complaint: Portfolio recovery claims i owe three debts that i never knew about. years of disputing gave no results. talking with the company lead nowhere. i was willing to pay to get them to stop but they want too much for a debt that is not mine. what is worse, contacting them made the debt look like new on the credit reports. they told me that every time i call or contact them the debt renews and they plan on suing or arresting me. its a 10 year old debt!! they are mean and unfair and unprofessional.

Complaint: I paid 2 collections on XX/XX/2019 upon the agreement that these would be removed from my credit report completely.
The collection agency purposely moved the collections into " new debt '' on XX/XX/XXXX or XXXX.
I've called several times and only 1 of the items was removed while being given all sorts of excuses.
XXXX has notified me that they have no instruction in their XXXX system to remove the " new debt. '' I filed a dispute stating as much and still Portfolio Recovery Associates lied yet again.

Old information reappears or never goes away
Complaint: I started trying to repair credit XX/XX/XXXX. I have sent all hard inquires in that were not legally obtained. I also had old debt that I was fighting anything on my reports since it was already at that point processed as bad debt to the original creditor.
I than again sent certified mail to all beauros XX/XX/XXXX a year later for all the same hard inquiries and debts that were still remaining on my account with no legal update after give way more then the 30 days that they have legal rights to update. For both my husband and I. I never received an updated credit report fixing any issue for either of us from any of the 3 credit beauros. I continuously try to reach out via phone and again sent certified mail XX/XX/XXXX. I have reporting s from accounts that are inaccurate that I never signed for from XXXX that are still on my report and now 5 years later are remaining and not even the collector has the original signed documentation of proof. I keep going back over and over trying to have all these hard inquiries removed as well as the debts that are no longer just and no one is even attempting to correct or sent proof of an attemption.

Complaint: Portfolio Recovery Associates, despite their lacking a legitimate foundation for furnishing data on my credit reports, and a continued failure to state a verified foundation stating their rights to maintain this claim on my credit, continue to furnish this data to the credit bureaus. They have not shown a valid contract in any of my attempts to demand they provide this. They continue to ignore multiple attempts to get them to obtain this proof, and as such, have not proven that there were valid accounts or that any such alleged accounts included a right to assign or transfer since Portfolio itself has not provided me with any consideration or service. They have failed to show how their efforts to claim possession of the alleged accounts are anything but lack of privity.
They have engaged in many violations of the FDCPA, documented in prior complaints yet they continue to furnish their derogatory data without remorse. They shouldnt even have access to my credit files since they havent even proven a right of assignment in showing any original contracts, listing such a right of assignment as part of the contract terms.
They have violated FCRA 1681s in the sense that they have never notified me in the first place that they were furnishing this derogatory information and they have continued to violate that in that this information came off several of my credit files and was placed back on those files without formal notice to me by Portfolio, a willful transgression of the law.
Boatley v Diem held that credit reporting IS debt collection. Portfolio has stated that they are ceasing debt collection efforts yet they continue to report this data on the alleged accounts in violation of this higher court holding.
I am enclosing the results of my search of the UCC files in the two states I have lived in in recent years and both show that there is no debt claimed on me. No debt has been filed with the states involved. Every time Portfolio continues to furnish derogatory data about me they are engaging in wire fraud and every time they send a mailing stating that these alleged accounts are valid, they are engaging in mail fraud.
