Complaint: I was unable to make payments due to medical crisis in my family and on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX I made a payment arrangement with Spring Leaf to make {$50.00} one time payment and {$70.00} thereafter till I am able make the full monthly payment beginning XXXX XXXX. I have been paying as agreed but Spring Leaf is sending Sheriff to harass my family -- my husband recovering from XXXX and our daughter with XXXX challenge. When I called them to ask why, they said if I do n't want the Sheriff at my door, I should go to the Sheriff office to sign some papers! See attached fax cover of hardship request I made for the payment arrangement and my bank activity showing my payments.

XXXX XXXX is attempting to collect the debt from me, I have informed them of the error but that does n't help. They continue to try to collect from me. I 'm an XXXX year old man totally debt free. My house, my cars and everything else I own is debt free.

Complaint: I am receiving attempts to collect from a company ( XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX ) I am not aware. In addition, the company ( Onemain Financial , Inc ) is listed, as the original creditor, I am unaware. I need to prove from XXXX XXXX XXXX that are attempting to collect a fraudulent debt. I need to see an original contract signed by me. I am know that I have never signed a contract with either of these companies. I have looked through my personal paperwork ( contracts signed from XXXX ). I have no records of a contract by me with XXXX XXXX XXXX or Onemein Financial. XXXX XXXX XXXX has been report erroneous information to the crediting reporting agencies of a " bad debt. '' If XXXX XXXX XXXX has proof of debt with my signature, I want the company to produce that information. As a now, I receiving notices from a them and I have no idea who they are and what " debt '' there attempting to collect. If this attempt is legitimate, I sure the company will comply and produce the original document establishing a " debt ''. This is an attempt to establish if this is a valid attempt to collect because I have no knowledge of these companies and signing any contracts with them.

Complaint: I attempted at to generate a personal loan through One Main Financial. XXXX from the Washington, PA office called me at the end of XXXX. I was told that they are now offering to do an auto refinance and take a personal loan out with a refinance. I have had some credit issues and I was taking out the personal loan to get caught up with some bills and expenses. I was told that if I made XXXX payments to my mortgage company they could get the loan done, that they had talked to underwriting and a manager and pushed it through. She asked me if I could make the payments to my mortgage company then, which I could not and I said I could make them later in XXXX and she said ok that 's fine and that the loan would just stay in pending. I then got a letter from One Main saying that my loan application was still there and they were waiting on additional information, which would have been the proof that I made the XXXX payments. So on Tuesday XXXX, I called One Main and I asked them just to confirm, " As long as I make these XXXX payments they will they will get this loan done. '' I said I have late charges on my mortgage too and they told me no that I just needed to pay the XXXX regular mortgage payments. On Wednesday, XXXX I called my mortgage company to make the payments. Thursday, XXXX morning I sent them a screen shot from my XXXX, showing that I had made the payments and I had also called them at about XXXX when they opened, at about XXXX I called them back and they stated they were working on another application but that she would get back to me. By XXXX I still had never heard from her and I called her back again and at that point she told me she was doing everything she could to push this loan through, and I said that I did n't understand because she had told me all I needed to do was make these XXXX payments. I then said, " Well what 's the problem? " XXXX stated that they told her its because I had late charges still due. I said that does n't make sense. She agreed and said, " I know, I do n't know what the problem is because you made your XXXX regular mortgage payments. '' I than emailed them proof stating that my loan was just due for XXXX XXXX, 2016 which was what XXXX told me it needed to be due for ( I was XXXX payments behind, they wanted me to make it due for the current month to approve the loan - as XXXX explained ). I never heard back from XXXX or XXXX the Manager in Washington. I called back again and spoke with the Washington Manager XXXX, he said that he was going to talk to his District or General Manager about it and get back to me and never did. I called on Friday, XXXX early in the morning because I did n't hear back from XXXX. He insisted that he did call me back and I have no missed calls and none in my call log at all. I also verified through XXXX that I did not have any incoming calls from One Main the evening of XXXX and have proof of this. XXXX stated that he had talked to XXXX and she said she never told me she would get the loan approved. I stated XXXX is not telling the truth and he could n't even tell the truth about calling me back. I asked him if he felt his business had INTEGRITY. He said it did. They lie - that 's not a definition of integrity. I asked XXXX if he could call me and leave a voicemail on my cell phone with his bosses contact information ( I was driving and could n't write it down or put it in my phone ). He said he could n't do that due to state regulations. I asked him what this specific regulation was as I 've never heard of anything like that. He then stated it was internal policy. Again, lies. My issues are that they set up terms for me to obtain this loan and they told me that it would be obtained if I made XXXX mortgage payments. There was a clear verbal agreement where both parties had a mutual understand of what needed to be done. There was no misunderstanding it

Complaint: I was unable to make my regular scheduled payment and had notified the branch office where my loan was obtained, as you must deal with the location that issued the loan. The branch thanked me for notifying them and indicated since it was so close to the end of the month, my loan would likely move from their office to the corporate office. Just a few days later, " the corporate office '' contacted XXXX phone numbers, only XXXX of which was my business phone number. When I questioned why they had called XXXX different numbers, some of which are in no way associated with me, I was told " because you were n't in touch or responding ''. When I said I had just been in touch with the branch office less than 1 week ago, the individual said " do you wish to file a complaint? ". I had responded affirmatively, as there was no reason for 6 calls in a short period of time on the same day to all different phone numbers. About 1 to 2 weeks later, I was notified the issue was with the Executive Customer Care team. I heard nothing further. A few weeks later, I was notified the case & complaint had been closed. I immediately sent an email to the person assigned to the complaint. He then called me and told me he had left me a message and I never returned his call. When I told him there was no call from him and I had proof, he went on to explain they have access to a database or something similar that provides possible related phone numbers. I again reiterated, 1st he never addressed my complaint, 2nd, he never made any contact with me prior to that day. He stumbled & stuttered in an attempt to cover up his failures. When I questioned him in regards to the outrageous number of calls, especially when I had been in touch with the branch just days prior to this event and if contacting all these numbers was just an attempt to humiliate and intimidate me. He did not deny my accusation, just once again reiterated the database with possible related phone numbers. It was clear I was not getting any resolution from the " Executive Customer Care '' team. I had indicated at that time that I would file a formal complaint against Springleaf Financial. He assured me, despite my decision, they had removed any of the potential phone numbers associated with me and would only contact me on the phone number I had provided. Subsequently, Springleaf has once again contacted phone numbers other than mine, indicating they can not contact me and " have an important business matter to discuss with me ''. If this is n't harassment and humiliation, I honestly do n't know what else it could be.

Complaint: We have a loan with Springleaf Financial Services Financial Services of XXXX Illiinois at XXXX XXXX XXXX of {$7500.00} at 22 %. The loan was to rehab our house in XXXX, IL. We requested an $ XXXX increase in the loan amount as the labor for the rehab is going to exceed our expectations. Springleaf proposed that they would refinance our car and give us {$2600.00}. We were not denied an increase, but we felt that we did not want to do that as the finance charged at Springleaf are greater than at our XXXX dealer. So, we withdrew out loan request with Springleaf. The issue is that we received a Statement of Credit Denial on XXXX XXXX, XXXX based upon a credit report from XXXX different credit agencies. Now our credit score will go down based upon this action, and we are trying to keep our credit up as we are still recovering from the loss of our business during the recent economic depression. We called Springleaf this morning ( XXXX XXXX, XXXX ) to tell them that they did not deny our credit, we choose not to accept it. They said there was nothing they could do. We would like this denial taken off our credit report. Thank you very much.

Complaint: I am continuously getting phone calls from the company in question about, what i assume, is a debt for someone who is not me. I answered the phone and spoke with someone several months ago and let them know they had the incorrect phone number and asked that they not call this number again. They have continued to call weekly and sometimes daily. I have caller ID and do not answer the phone any longer. However, this is my work place phone and would appreciate if the calls would stop. This has been ongoing for at least 6 months, if not longer.

Complaint: This complaint is against Springleaf Financial. The loan was acquired in XXXX of 2007. The loan amount was for XXXX dollars. With interest it totaled XXXX dollars. I 've paid about XXXX. I still owe XXXX. How is that possible? I paid XXXX a month until they told me to pay XXXX a month. When you look at the payment history, some months nothing went toward the premium. Some months maybe XXXX or XXXX dollars went toward the principal. They are a rip off. How can you pay XXXX on a XXXX dollar loan and still owe XXXX dollars, which was what you borrowed. I saw some review about Springleaf on the internet and XXXX lady said she had the loan before she bought her car and has since paid her car off but still owe Springleaf XXXX dollars. Someone really needs to do something about them. They are taking people money. Especially the elder. The loan has really been paid off and they still want XXXX dollars. If nothing can be done, I 'm going to the media. I 'm also XXXX and have to get my daughter to deal with this problem. Also I have tried to get them to send me cancelled checks because they said I borrowed XXXX and XXXX after the intial loan which I did not. They can not show me who received the money because it was not me. They have no way of showing who received the money

Complaint: The lender continues to contact me at work. As a XXXX I can not continue to be harassed at work. I have already been warn by my supervisor that the phone calls must stop. I informed the lender that they could put my job at risk, her exact response was that they will continue to call until I paid the loan. This has happened before where I have made a payment agreement to pay by a certain date and they called me everyday until that date that was agreed upon. I could lose my job because of these call to my work.

Complaint: I am rewriting my XXXX mortgage. In so doing, I need a subordination agreement from Springleaf Financial. They will not do the agreement until I bring the loan payments current. When I asked when I missed a payment, they were unable to tell me. My bank records show I am current on my payments. They tell me I missed one payment in XX/XX/2013 for {$280.00} yet they tell me I have to pay over {$800.00} to get current. Holding up my loan closing to attempt to collect money I do not owe.

Complaint: Have a loan with One Main financial ( formerly known as XXXX ) for around six -seven years, I renewed my loan on XX/XX/XXXX to get additional funds, the financed amount on the newed loan says {$8500.00}, after paying for XXXX year with a missed payment on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, they forced me to renew my loan which they call it defer, i ended up signing a new loan agreement in the amount of {$8900.00} which is higher than the orignal one ( {$8500.00} ) even after paying {$2400.00} all this money that i paid has gone out the window, did n't reduce my balance a bit, they use intimidation, such as calling multiple times a day, that i 'm behined a lot on my payments, leaving multiple messages by a person saying his is a district manager, when trying to explain the situation they are not interested to listen, all they say is pay our money, When i track back my payments, using my bank statments, i realize i was not missing a lot on my payments, but they used different tactics and harrasment to renew my loan, that put $ XXXX+ {$400.00} to put in their pocket, and me to repay all over again.i have to work hard to make {$2400.00} to pay them, they just used physcological tactics to put it in their pockets, the last intimidation i recieved from them was " if i do n't pay by the end of the month that my personal property will be garnished ''
